Sehr schöner Canyon, inzwischen Top ausgerüstet! Vorsicht am hohen C90 Wasserfall. Der etwa 15 Meter unterhalb des C65-Zwischenstandes muss es eine extrem scharfe Kannte geben. Ein Canyonist hat uns das Seil massiv ramponiert.
Very nice canyon, now top equipped! Be careful at the high C90 waterfall. There must be an extremely sharp ledge about 15 meters below the C65 intermediate stand. A canyonist has massively battered our ropes.

Mit viel Material und sehr vielen Seilen haben wir versucht eine alternative zu den extrem gefährlichen Zustieg zum Ribeira da Igreja (inférieur) zu finden. Vom Startpunkt des Igreja inf ist klar zu erkennen, dass es einen oberen Teil gibt. Auch auf Karten ist das ersichtlich. Sehr weit sind wir jedoch nicht gekommen. Es war alles extrem zugewuchert. Wir haben für die ersten Meter einen Weg durch das Gebüsch geschlagen. Irgendwann muss ein weiterer Versuch folgen ... ACHTUNG: - CANYON IST NOCH NICHT EINGERICHTET! - HINWEISE ZU IGREJA INF BEACHTEN!
We tried to find an alternative to the extremely dangerous access to the Ribeira da Igreja (inférieur) with lots of equipment and ropes. From the starting point of the Igreja inferiore it is clear to see that there is an upper part. This can also be seen on maps. However, we didn't get very far. It was all extremely overgrown. We made our way through the bushes for the first few meters. Another attempt must follow at some point ... ATTENTION: - CANYON IS NOT YET SET UP! - FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR IGREJA INFERIORE!

Anfangs war alles sehr dicht verwuchert. Wassermenge im Terra d'Alem war gut, aber sehr viel Wasser später im Funda. Anker im Funda sehr gut, im Terra d'Alem stellenweise nicht mehr so toll.
At first everything was very overgrown. The amount of water in Terra d'Alem was good, but a lot of water later in Funda. Anchor in Funda very good, in Terra d'Alem not so great in places.

Schöne Tour, recht einfach und kurz. Gut ausgestattet. Beim Zustieg gibt es viele Möglichkeiten den falschen Weg zu nehmen.
Nice tour, quite easy and short. Well equipped. There are many opportunities to take the wrong route during access.

Wie auch in den anderen Abschnitten des Cales einige Laufpassagen, aber weniger als in Cales 3. Ankerpunkte soweit vorhanden gut. An einigen Stellen könnten bei viel Wasser weitere Anker nicht schaden. Vertikalität bis auf den letzten Abseiler "easy" - der C30 ist super eingebohrt, aber den 2 Anker zu erreichen ist nicht trivial.
As in the other parts of the Cales, some walking passages, but less than in Cales 3. Good anchor points where available. In some places more anchors would not hurt if there is a lot of water. Verticality "easy" except for the last rappel - the C30 is superiore, but reaching the 2nd anchor is not trivial.

Zustand aller Ankerpunkte ist top. Zustieg war durch Erdrutch zerstört, aber inzwischen repariert. Einheimische Guides haben zudem am Tag unserer Tour grade einen alternativen Zustieg errichtet. Rutschen und Springen am "Spielplatz" (Schlussabseiler) haben wir aufgrund von Warnungen lokaler Guides unterlassen. Es hat wohl in letzter Zeit mehrere Unfälle gegeben, da dass Becken nicht mehr so tief ist und zugleich das Wasser jetzt anders die Rutsche hinunterläuft. Erdrutche haben auch den Ausstieg verändert.
Condition of all anchor points is top. The access was destroyed by an earth rut, but has since been repaired. Local guides had also just built an alternative access on the day of our tour. We refrained from slides and jumps at the "playground" (final abseil) due to warnings from local guides. There have probably been several accidents recently, as the pool is no longer as deep and the water now runs down the slide differently. Earth slides have also changed the exit.

Nette kleine Tour. Landschaftlich ganz schön. Leider wurden an diversen Ständen die Haken geklaut. Dank der Bäume kommt man meist dennoch gut runter bzw. oft ist noch ein Haken da oder man kann springen. An der 2 Brücke sind wir aufgrund der fehlenden Haken ausgestiegen. Wir haben die Tour mit Porto Novo kombiniert (gleicher Parkplatz, Nachbarschlucht, ähnlich einfach und kurz)
Nice little tour. Quite scenic. Unfortunately, the anchors have been stolen from various stands. Thanks to the trees you can usually still get down well or often there is still an anchor or you can jump. We got off at the 2nd bridge due to the missing anchors. We combined the tour with Porto Novo (same parking lot, neighboring gorge, similarly easy and short)

Nette kleine Tour die offensichtlich kommerziell begangen wird. Entsprechend sehr sehr gut eingerichtet, oft rechts und linksufrig. Relativ viel Wasser und recht frisch. Gut kombinierbar mit dem Nachbarcanyon Boieiros, von ähnlicher länge (gleicher Parkplatz).
Nice little tour that is obviously commercially used. Accordingly very well equipped, often on the right and left bank. Relatively much water and quite fresh. Can be easily combined with the neighboring canyon Boieiros, of similar length (same parking lot).

Sehr schöner Canyon. Ankerpunkte meist OK. Stellenweise heikle Abkletterpassagen bei viel Wasser aufgrund fehlender Ankerpunkte. Am Ende von Seixal Sup gibt es diverse Canyons für den weiteren Abstieg ins Tal. Insgesamt ergibt sich daraus eine sehr lange Tour.
Very nice canyon. Anchor points mostly OK. In places tricky downclimbs with lots of water due to lack of anchor points. At the exit of Seixal Sup there are various canyons for the further descent into the valley. Overall, this results in a very long tour.

Very beautiful canyon with a really spectacular cascade. Unfortunately a lot of garbage in the canyon. New anchors would significantly enhance and simplify the canyon.

Wunderschöne Wasserfälle aber leider sehr viel laufstrecke. Der erste Ankerpunkt ist spitze, die qualität lässt im Canyon aber spürbar nach. Im letzten Drittel müssen stellenweise natürliche Anker verwendet werden, z.B. mittels Makramee.
Beautiful waterfalls but unfortunately a lot of walking. The first anchor point is great, but the quality deteriorates noticeably in the canyon. In the last third, natural anchors have to be used in places, e.g. using macramé.

Wunderschöner Canyon. Ankerpunkte überwiegend in guten Zustand, teilweise hochwertige Titan-Klebehaken. Zustieg äußerst bedenklich. Wer ein mulmiges Gefühl hat, sollte besser gleich umkehren - es wird immer schlimmer ..... Aufgrund der Wellen haben wir uns entschiedem am C90 abzubrechen und den Notausstieg am Felsenfenster des Tunnels der alten Uferstraße nutzen. Die alter Uferstraße exisitert in weiten teilen nicht mehr. Von einem Sicheren Rückweg kann hier keine Rede sein. Also unbedingt so begehen, dass man bei Ebbe und niedrigen Wellen unten am Atlantik rauskommt und dort sicher zurückkehren kann.
Beautiful canyon. Anchor points mostly in good condition, some high-quality titanium glued anchors. Access is extremely precarious. If you have a queasy feeling, you should turn back immediately - it gets worse and worse ..... Due to the waves, we decided to break off at the C90 and use the emergency exit at the rock window of the tunnel of the old shore road. The old shore road no longer exists in large parts. There can be no question of a safe way back here. It is therefore essential to walk in such a way that you can get out at low tide and low waves at the bottom of the Atlantic and return there safely.

Wenig Wasser. Grundsätzlich sehr gut eingerichtet, jedoch in der Schlusspassage nach dem 40er (Foto), wo es um die Ecke geht, sind Haken verbogen. Little water. In the final passage after the 40er (photo), where it goes around the corner, hooks are bent. As a result, we couldn't get the rope off at first and had to climb back up via the emergency exit.

Unbedingt ab dem Abseiler, der auf dem Foto zu sehen ist, immer bis zum nächsten Haken durchseilen. Es gibt genügend Haken für Seilgeländer vor dem hohen Wasserfall, es ist jedoch extrem rutschig und daher besser am Seil zu den Seilgeländerpunkten bewegen. From the abseil, which can be seen in the photo, always rope through to the next bolt. There are enough pitons for rope handrails in front of the high waterfall, but it is extremely slippery and therefore better to move along the rope to the rope handrail points. Am 3.10.2023 noch extreme Wassermenge, stark abnehmend tendenz. Achtung: Seilbahn Flims-Foppa-Naraus wurde inzwischen abgebaut. Der Canyon ist somit aktuell auf offiziellen Wegen per ÖPNV nur mit dem Bus 23 von Laax nach Nagens erreichbar.
On 3.10.2023 still extreme amount of water, strongly decreasing trend. Please note: Flims-Foppa-Naraus cable car has now been dismantled. The canyon is therefore currently only accessible on official public transport routes by bus 23 from Laax to Nagens.

Eine Schlüsselstelle folgt hier der nächsten - dieser Canyon ist absolut zu empfehlen! Wir haben die Variante Zustieg per Helikopter gewählt. Bei inférieur sind wir ausgestiegen und am nächsten Tag wieder eingestiegen. Es gibt keinen Grund durch diesen schönen Canyon zu hetzen. Mäßig interessanter Canyon. Wir haben den richtigen Zustieg nicht auf anhieb gefunden und können den besten Weg auch nicht definieren. Wunderschöne Aussicht auf dem Zustieg. Die Canyoning Tour ist Abwechslungsreich, teilweise jedoch sehr schlecht eingerichtet.

Ein sehr kurzer Canyon mit einem wunderschönen, atemberaubenden Wasserfall mit einer faszinierenden Aussicht. Bei dem Canyon Agua Alto handelt es sich um zwei Wasserfälle. Der obere Wasserfall noch eingeschnitten, der C90 offen mit Blick auf dem Atlantic. Die zweite, ca. 90 Meter hohe Kaskade, endet direkt neben der Straße (VE2, São Vicente - Porto Moniz) und fließt dort in den Atlantischen Ozean. Der 90 Meter Wasserfall wird in mehreren Zwischenständen begangen.
A very short canyon with a beautiful, breathtaking waterfall with a fascinating view. There are two waterfalls in the Agua Alto canyon. The upper waterfall is still cut in, the C90 open with a view of the Atlantic. The second cascade, about 90 meters high, ends right next to the road (VE2, São Vicente - Porto Moniz) and flows into the Atlantic Ocean. The 90-metre waterfall is accessed in several intermediate stages.

Der Spiggenbach ist neben den Canyons Gries und Gamchi eine Canyoning-Perle im Kandertal bei Reichenbach (Bern/Berne/Berner Oberland). Der Canyon ist Landschaftlich sehr schön und die Abseilstellen sind eine Herausvorderung die Spaß machen. Vorsicht: Auf keinen Fall zu früh Ausbinden! An mehreren Stellen ging es zwei Stufen runter, das Betrifft auch den C32! Mein 70m Seil hat überall doppelt gereicht. Anfahrt über A8 Ausfahrt 19 in Spiez und weiter Richtung Kandersteg. In Reichenbach nach links Richtung Kiental abbiegen. Der Parkplatz befindet sich direkt nach der Brücke über den Spiggenbach. Die Ausrüstung kann noch mit dem Auto etwa 1,3 km Richtung Griesalp bis zum Abzweig Spiggengrund gefahren werden. Zu Fuß der Straße zum Spiggengrund etwa 1,7 km folgen, bis die erste Brück über den Spiggenbach kurz hinter dem Wehr erreicht wird. Auf keinen Fall die Wassermengen in diesem Canyon und die Warnungen in Bezug auf die Gefahr von plötzlichen Flutwellen unterschätzen! (vgl. Alongside the Gries and Gamchi canyons, the Spiggenbach is a canyoning gem in the Kandertal valley near Reichenbach (Bern/Berne/Berner Oberland). The canyon is very scenic and the abseiling sections are a fun challenge. Caution: Don't tie out too early! In several places there were two steps down, this also applies to the C32! My 70m rope was twice as long everywhere. Approach via A8 exit 19 in Spiez and continue towards Kandersteg. In Reichenbach turn left towards Kiental. The parking lot is located directly after the bridge over the Spiggenbach. The equipment can still be driven about 1.3 km in the direction of Griesalp to the Spiggengrund junction. Follow the road to Spiggengrund on foot for about 1.7 km until you reach the first bridge over the Spiggenbach just after the weir. Never underestimate the amount of water in this canyon and the warnings regarding the danger of sudden floods! Bei Verel (Einstieg) gibt es einen großen Parkplatz. Parkplatz-Situation in Angon (Ausstieg) ist schwierig. Es empfiehlt sich den nur oberen Parkplatz zu nutzen und nach der Tour zurück zum Auto zu gehen statt umzuparken. Ausstieg an den Verbotsschildern, die klar und unübersehbar Kennzeichnen wo man den Canyon verlassen muss. Es geht zunächst steil aufwärts bis man nach wenigen Metern auf den Wanderweg trifft. Am Wanderweg nach links zum oberen Parkplatz oder nach rechts nach Angon. Wir hatten uns hier aufgeteilt: 3 Personen mit der Ausrüstung nach Angon und 1 Person ohne Material zum Auto um uns dann in Angon abzuholen.
There is a large parking lot at Verel (entrance). The parking situation in Angon (exit) is difficult. It is advisable to use the upper parking lot only and to walk back to the car after the tour instead of re-parking. Exit at the prohibition signs, which clearly and unmistakably indicate where you have to leave the canyon. The route initially climbs steeply until you reach the hiking trail after a few meters. At the hiking trail, turn left to the upper parking lot or right to Angon. We had split up here: 3 people with the equipment to Angon and 1 person without equipment to the car to pick us up in Angon.

Wir sind den Canyon insgesamt 3 mal begangen. Einmal die "klassische Route" am Tag und zwei mal Nachts mit zustieg am Zufluss (hineinseilen in die Schlucht). Achtung, bei variante hineinseilen kann man leicht das Seil am Fels zerschneiden.

Wassermenge =========== Sehr hoher Durchfluss. Wir vermieden Wasser so weit wie möglich. Temperatur =========== Wasser: Sehr kalt. Handschuhe sind Pflicht. Luft: Kühl. Während der Wartezeiten begann sich ein Kältegefühl einzustellen. Aber: .... Weniger kalt als erwartet, aber Handschuhe sind trotzdem notwendig. Luft auf dem Parkplatz um 10 Uhr 3 Grad, um 17 Uhr 11 Grad. Tour =========== Mit einer Gruppe von sechs Personen haben wir fünf Stunden gebraucht. Manche Passagen sind bei dieser Wassermenge schwierig und in manchen Becken gibt es überraschend starke Strömungen. Bei derartigen Bedingungen sollte mindestens ein Teammitglied mit der Schlucht bestens vertraut sein.
Water quantity =========== Very high flow rate. We avoid water as much as possible. Temperature =========== Water: Very cold. Gloves are mandatory. Air: Cool. During the waiting times, a cold feeling began to set in. But: .... Less cold than expected, but gloves are still necessary. Air in the parking lot at 10 a.m. 3 degrees, at 5 p.m. 11 degrees. Tour =========== With a group of six people, it took us five hours. Some passages are difficult with this amount of water and in some pools there are surprisingly strong currents. In such conditions, at least one team member should be very familiar with the canyon.

Ein kurzer, mäßig interessanter Canyon. Für Canyonisten mit Erfahrung ist der Canyon Pissette Nachts ein geeignetes kleines Abendteuer. Sehr wenig laufstrecke im Canyon. Höchste Abseilstelle ist der Schlusswasserfall mit einer Höhe von ca. 20 Meter vom Baum, dieser Wasserfall hat einen kleinen Geysir. Abgesehen vom Schlussabseiler Landschaftlich ehr mäßig. Die vorhanden Ankerpunkte sind Schrott.
A short, moderately interesting canyon. For canyonists with experience, Canyon Pissette is a suitable little adventure at night. Very little walking in the canyon. The highest abseil point is the final waterfall with a height of approx. 20 meters from the tree, this waterfall has a small geyser. Apart from the final abseil, the scenery is very moderate. The existing anchor points are garbage.

Zwischen 2014 und 2022 insgesammt 12 mal im Chichin gewesen, davon 1 mal Nachts und bei Wasserständen von moderat bis Crazy. Nachts oder bei sehr viel Wasser sollte man den Canyon unbedingt gut kennen. Einrichtung ist stets top gewesen, hat sich aber im laufe der Jahre immer weiter verbessert. An Schlüssel-Stellen gibt es mehrere Routen. 2x70m Seil benötigt man nur, wenn man die kurzen Routen nicht kennt bzw. findet. Ein sensationelles Verhältnis aus Zustieg und Canyoning Vergnügen. Durchweg ein sehr schöner Canyon. Seit dem Hochwasser im September 2015 sind jedoch viele Steine in den Pools, sodass Sprünge und Rutschen quasi nicht mehr existieren. Highlight des Canyons ist der Abseilpunkt direkt neben dem Geysir. Beeindruckend wenn man direkt unterhalb des Geysirs die Seite wechselt (Trocken->Trocken! Abseilen durch den Hauptstrom in der Regel nicht möglich!) und somit direkt unter dem Wasser steht und der Wasserstrom wenige cm über den Kopf langschießt. Been to Chichin a total of 12 times between 2014 and 2022, including 1 time at night and at water levels ranging from moderate to crazy. You should definitely know the canyon well at night or when there is a lot of water. The facilities have always been excellent, but have improved over the years. There are several routes at key points. You only need 2x70m of ropes if you don't know or can't find the short routes. A sensational ratio of access and canyoning pleasure. A very beautiful canyon throughout. However, since the flood in September 2015, there have been many stones in the pools, so that jumps and slides are virtually non-existent. The highlight of the canyon is the anchor right next to the geyser. It's impressive when you change sides directly below the geyser (dry->dry! Rappels through the main stream are usually not possible!) and stand directly under the water with the stream of water shooting a few centimetres over your head. Ein sehr schöner Canyon mit griffigen Fels. Das Wasser war auf unserer Tour trüb und hat anfangs streng gerochen. Der Zustand der Ankerpunkte war überwiegend sehr gut (2 Klebehaken oder eine Kette). Bei Umparken kein Zustieg / Rückweg, die Straße ist jedoch aktuell gesperrt.
A very beautiful canyon with rock with a good grip. The water was murky on our tour and had a strong smell at first. The condition of the anchor points was mostly very good (2 pitons or a chain). No access/return route in case of reparking, but the road is currently closed.

Eine sehr schöne, aber auch sehr anspruchsvolle Tour mit einigen Nervenkitzel. Liegt unterhalb des weißen Gletschers, entsprechend frisch ist das Wasser - Handschuhe und Kaputze sind obligatorisch. Der Canyon bietet eine sehr schöne Aussicht. Vertikal sind es nicht mehr als 25 Meter, das Ziel ist aber von oben nicht immer zu erkennen. Einige laufstrecken, teilweise anstrengend über Geröll und Schotter. Ankerpunkte teilweise im sehr schlechten zustand. Wir haben den Zwischenaustieg nicht gefunden.
A very beautiful, but also very challenging tour with some thrills. Located below the white glacier, the water is correspondingly fresh - gloves and a hood are obligatory. The canyon offers a very beautiful view. The vertical drop is no more than 25 meters, but the destination is not always visible from above. There are a few stretches of walking, some of which are strenuous over scree and gravel. Some of the anchor points are in very poor condition. We did not find the intermediate exit.

Der Rossgumpenbach ist ein absolut lohenswerter Canyon. Der Zustieg ist ein langer aber gut zu laufender Wanderweg. Der Zustieg sollte nach Möglichkeit frühzeitig erfolgen um die Mittagsonne beim Aufstieg zu vermeiden. Zudem kann es im laufe des Tages schwierig werden, in Holzgau einen Parkplatz zu finden. Zunächst dem Wanderweg zur Rossgumpenalm folgen. Ungefähr 5 Minuten vor der Rossgumpenalm wird der Roßgumpenbach überquert. Von hieraus sollte sollte zunächst der Wasserstand am Rossgumpen Wasserfall überprüft werden. Anschließend den Europafernwanderweg E5 Richtung Kemptener Hütte folgen. Es folgt ein steiler Anstieg außerhalb der Sichtweite des Roßgumpenbach. Sobald der Weg für einen kurzen Moment an den Roßgumpenbach führt ist der 2. Teil erreicht. Nach ungewähr weiteren 15 Minuten Gehzeig zweigen wir an einer kleinen Schutzhütte vom Weg nach rechts zum 1. Teil des Roßgumpenbach ab. Im Canyon geht es geht Schlag auf Schlag. Nur zwischen den oberen und unteren Abschnitt gibt es eine kurze Laufstrecke. Direkt am Beginn des unteren Abschnitts kann man den Canyon verlassen oder von hier auch erst Starten. Der Fels ist überwiegend griffig. Sowohl im oberen als auch im unteren Abschnitt gibt es jeweils einen höheren Wasserfall, so dass mindestens zwei Seile a 45m benötigt werden. Bei genügend Personen ist zusätzlich ist ein kürzeres Seil, z.B. 30m, zu empfehlen.
The Rossgumpenbach is an absolutely worthwhile canyon. The access is a long but easy to walk hiking trail. Access should be made early if possible to avoid the midday sun on the ascent. It can also be difficult to find a parking space in Holzgau during the walk. First follow the hiking trail to the Rossgumpenalm. About 5 minutes before the Rossgumpenalm, cross the Roßgumpenbach. From here, you should first check the water level at the Rossgumpen waterfall. Then follow the European long-distance hiking trail E5 towards Kemptener Hütte. This is followed by a steep climb out of sight of the Roßgumpenbach. As soon as the path leads to the Roßgumpenbach for a short moment, the 2nd part is reached. After about another 15 minutes of walking, we turn off the path to the right at a small refuge to the 1st part of the Roßgumpenbach. In the canyon, it's one step after another. There is only a short running section between the upper and lower parts. You can leave the canyon right at the beginning of the lower parts or start from here. The rock is mostly grippy. There is a higher waterfall in both the upper and lower parts, so at least two 45m ropes are required. If there are enough people, a shorter rope, e.g. 30m, is also recommended.

Der Zustieg zum oberen und mittleren Abschnitt sind nicht offensichtlich. Es geht quer durch den Wald teils steilaufwärts. Der mittlere Abschnitt beginnt mit zwei sehr schöne, lohnenswerten Abseilstellen. Anschließend nur abklettern und laufen bis zum unteren Abschnitt, in welchen es Kein Highlight gibt. Wir sind durch den Hornbach zurück, dort gibt es viele Schwimmstellen.
The approach to the upper and middle sections is not obvious. It goes right through the forest, sometimes steeply uphill. The middle section begins with two very nice, rewarding abseils. Then just climb down and walk to the lower section, where there is no highlight. We return through the Hornbach, where there are many swimming spots.

Der Hochalpbach ist landschaftlich fantastisch schön, aber es ist viel zu laufen und abzuklettern. Der Zustieg über den Wanderweg 432 ist einfach zu finden und gut zu laufen, enthält jedoch einige Abschnitte wo es steil Bergauf geht. Im Canyon geht es insbesondere am Anfang gelegentlich über Geröllfelder, welche schnell in Bewegung geraten. Bei Sonnig warmen Wetter gibt es hinreichend viele Pools, die eine erfrischende Abkühlung bieten. Bei geringer Wassermenge wird es mit einem 5mm Neoprean dennoch schnell etwas warm.
The Hochalpbach is fantastically scenic, but there is a lot of walking and climbing involved. The approach via hiking trail 432 is easy to find and easy to walk, but contains a few sections where it is steeply uphill. In the canyon, especially at the beginning, there are occasional scree fields which quickly start to move. In sunny, warm weather, there are plenty of pools that offer a refreshing dip. With a 5mm Neoprean, however, it quickly gets a little warm when there is little water.

Auf dem Zustieg zum Audin, ungefähr auf halber Strecke zwischen Audin médian und Audin amont, führt der Wanderweg an diesem Seitenarm vorbei. Trotz geringer Wassermengen war der Wanderweg bei uns hier leicht überspült. Die kritischen Stellen sind gut eingerichtet. Es werden 2 Seile von jeweils mindestens für diesen Seitenarm 30 Metern benötigt, welcher in den Audin mündet.
On the approach to Audin, roughly halfway between Audin médian and Audin amont, the hiking trail leads past this side arm. Despite low water levels, the hiking trail was slightly flooded here. The critical sections are well prepared. Two ropes of at least 30 meters each are required for this side arm, which flows into the Audin.

Vermutlich ging eine riesige Flut kurz vorher durch den Canyon. Vom GPS-Punkt 39.866944, 9.491251 auf der SS198 folgten wir der Straße zum Fluss. Der 60 Meter lange Wasserfall hat nun linksufrig eine Zwischenstand nach etwa 30 Metern. Somit ist (stand März 2022) eine Begehung mit zwei 35-Meter-Seilen möglich. Der Wasserstand war ziemlich hoch, so dass einige Hindernisse schwer zu sehen waren. Presumably a huge flood had passed through the canyon shortly before. From the GPS point 39.866944, 9.491251 on the SS198, we followed the road to the river. The 60 meter long waterfall now has an intermediate level on the left bank after about 30 meters. This means that (as of March 2022) it can be climbed with two 35-meter ropes. Eine Schlüsselstelle folgt hier der nächsten - dieser Canyon ist absolut zu empfehlen! Ein sehr schöner Canyon zwischen Lauterbrunnen und Wengen ist der Canyon Rybi. Der Zustieg ist ein sehr gut zu laufender Wanderweg mit einem super Blick in das Tal (Lauterbrunnen), die Schweizer Berge und auf den Mättlibach. Der Canyon Rybi zeigt sich vom Wanderweg erst auf dem zweiten Blick: Der Hohe Wasserfall des Canyon Mättli zieht alle Blicke auf sich. Der Rybi befindet sich ein Stück links und ist deutlich schwieriger zu entdecken. Der Canyon Rybi hat mehrere impulsante Schlüsselstellen. Bei mehreren Wasserfällen gibt es eine ordentliche Dusche. Der Canyon ist mäßig eingerichtet - ein paar neue Ankerpunkte könnten nicht schaden. One key section follows the next - this canyon is highly recommended! The Rybi Canyon is a very beautiful canyon between Lauterbrunnen and Wengen. The access is a very easy to walk hiking trail with a superiore view of the valley (Lauterbrunnen), the Swiss mountains and the Mättlibach. The Rybi canyon is only visible from the hiking trail at second glance: The high waterfall of Canyon Mättli attracts everyone's attention. The Rybi is a little to the left and is much more difficult to spot. The Rybi canyon has several impulsive key points. There is a good shower at several waterfalls. The canyon is moderately well equipped - a few new anchor points wouldn't hurt. Ein sehr selten begehbarer Canyon. Es gibt meist nur ein kurzes Zeitfenster, in welchem Profis hier eine Canyoningtour wagen können. Der Rosenlaui ist ein sehr schöner und absolut lohnenswerter Canyon. Es ist eine sehr kurze Tour. Das Wasser ist frisch, lange Wartezeiten sind hier nicht empfehlenswert. Der Zustand der Haken ist stellenweise grenzwertig. Der Canyon ist eng und tief, es wird auch kurz relativ dunkel - meine Stirnlampe habe ich nur zum Fotografieren benutzt. Wir hatten ein 30m und ein 55m Seil dabei - mit dem 55 Meter Seil sind wir überall problemlos am doppelstrang herrunter gekommen. Hinweis zum "kurzen Zeitfenster": Es ist eine für Touristen erschlossene Schlucht. Während der Saison ist Canyoning verboten. Wir waren kurz nach Saisonende im Rosenlaui. Wenige Tage später wollten wir ein zweites mal zum Rosenlaui. Wir haben den 2. A very rarely accessible canyon. There is usually only a short time window in which professionals can attempt a canyoning tour here. The Rosenlaui is a very beautiful and absolutely worthwhile canyon. It is a very short tour. The water is fresh and long waiting times are not recommended. The condition of the anchors is borderline in places. The canyon is narrow and deep, it also gets relatively dark for a short time - I only used my headlamp to take photos. We had a 30m and a 55m rope with us - with the 55 meter rope we got down everywhere on the double line without any problems. Note on the "short time window": It is a canyon that is open to tourists. Canyoning is prohibited during the season. We were in Rosenlaui shortly after the end of the season. A few days later, we wanted to go to Rosenlaui a second time. We abandoned the second attempt on the approach at -8°C, as the road was already completely iced over and it was impossible to make any progress. Der Canyon Mengasca beginnt trotz Umparken mit einem sehr anspruchsvollen Zustieg. Vom Parkplatz bis zum Abzweig nach Motto dei Damini geht es stetig auf einem sehr guten Wanderweg bergauf, gefolgt von einem guten Pfad ohne nennenswerten Höhenunterschied. Von Motto dei Damini hat man einen schönen Blick in Richtung Tal, der Weg ist ab hier leicht zu übersehen aber regelmäßig durch rote Punkte markiert. Es geht teils steil herunter - der Weg ist anspruchsvoll und die Verwendung der Canyoning-Seile bietet sich an mindestens einer Stelle an. Nach 1 bis 1 1/2 Stunden erreicht man den Einstieg. Der Canyon ist sehr schön und macht richtig Spaß, hat aber auch mehrere technisch sehr anspruchsvolle Schlüsselpunkte. Der Höhepunkt ist der 55 Meter hohe Wasserfall. The Mengasca canyon begins with a very challenging access, despite the parking lot. From the parking lot to the junction to Motto dei Damini, the trail climbs steadily uphill on a very good hiking trail, followed by a good path with no significant difference in altitude. From Motto dei Damini you have a beautiful view towards the valley, the path is easy to miss from here but is regularly marked with red dots. The descent is steep in places - the path is challenging and the use of canyoning ropes is recommended in at least one place. After 1 to 1 1/2 hours you reach the entry point. The canyon is very beautiful and great fun, but also has several technically demanding key points. The highlight is the 55 meter high waterfall. Esino inférieur is a very short canyon in the Italian village of Perledo. This canyon is beautiful and deeply incised, the abseils are not particularly high. Within a week I was in the Esino 3 times, once at night. The access is only a few meters away from the parking lot. We left both cars at the upper parking lot during the tour and only picked them up for the exit after the tour. Die Bohrmaschine war auf unserer Tour häufig im Einsatz, so dass dieser Canyon jetzt deutlich besser aber - immer noch nicht optimal - ausgestattet ist. Es gibt sehr viele natürliche Ankerpunkte. A scenic canyon that is little known. Although this canyon is not the pearl of the region, it is not to be sneezed at. The canyon Rasga was partly moderately, partly miserably and partly not at all equipped. The drill was in frequent use on our tour, so this canyon is now much better equipped, but still not optimal. Ein absolut großartiger Canyon nörtlich von Domodossola ist der Torrent de Isorno (inférieur/aval). Der Zustieg dauert etwa 30 Minuten, zunächst ohne Nennenswerten Höhenunterschied und später geht es Bergab. An dem auf der Karte https://www.christian-balla.de/Isorno eingezeichneten Wegpunkt lohnt sich ein Umweg: Statt links am Berg vorbei einmal hoch zum Gipfel und die Aussicht genießen - allerdings muss man dann bis zu dem Wegpunkt wieder zurück. Das letzte Stück des Zustiegs ist nicht ungefährlich: Hier ist Vorsicht geboten. Im Canyon geht es mit einigen Minuten laufen und abklettern los. Es folgt der erste von 6 Abseilpunkten, wobei 4 zwischen 15 und 20 Meter hoch sind. Der höchste Abseiler ist 28m hoch, wobei am C28 noch Seil für das Seilgeländer benötigt wird. Der C28 ist der Höhepunkt des Isorno: Es wird Dunkel und die Abseilline verläuft durch das thosende Wasser des Wasserfalls. Unten angekommen schwimmt man durch den Wasserfall durch. An absolutely magnificent canyon north of Domodossola is the Torrent de Isorno (inférieur/aval). The access takes about 30 minutes, initially without any significant difference in altitude and later it goes downhill. At the waypoint marked on the map https://www.christian-balla.de/Isorno, it is worth taking a detour: instead of passing the mountain on the left, go up to the summit and enjoy the view - but then you have to return to the waypoint. The last part of the access is not without danger: caution is advised here. The canyon starts with a few minutes of walking and downclimbing. This is followed by the first of 6 anchors, 4 of which are between 15 and 20 meters high. The highest rappel is 28 meters high, although rope is still needed for the rope traverse at C28. The C28 is the highlight of the Isorno: it gets dark and the abseil line runs through the thundering water of the waterfall. Once at the bottom, you swim through the waterfall. Our first canyoning tour in the Domodossola region in September 2021 had to be canceled due to heavy rainfall. The following day, our search for a suitable canyon led us to the Rio Segnara. Stellenweise neu Eingerichtet hätte dieser Canyon einiges an Potenzial. Der Hirschwängbach ist ein schöner Canyon an der Landesgrenze zwischen Deutschland und Österreich. Der Zustieg beginnt am Hotel Ammerwald bei Reutte in Tirol in der Nähe des Plansee. Der Wanderweg Richtung Berggasthaus Bleckenau führt mit einer kleinen Holzbrücke über einen Seitenarm des Schafblassenbach. Links von der Holzbrücke ist ein Wasserfall zu sehen, unterhalb der Brücke befindet sich der Einstieg in den Canyon. Der Canyon hat sehr viele Abkletterstellen und gelegentlich den Charakter Aquatischer Wanderungen zwischen den Abseilstellen. Diese Abkletterstellen machen den Canyon anspruchsvoll. Die Abseilstellen haben UNGEFÄHR folgende Höhen: 12m, 15m, 10m, 10m, 15m, 10m, 10m, 15m, 10m, 12m. Nicht alle Ankerpunkte waren in guten Zustand, einer war nicht mehr verwendbar. Es standen jedoch entweder natürliche Ankerpunkte zur Verfügung oder Abklettern / Umlaufen war Möglich. Es empfiehlt sich ein 35m-40m Seil oder eine Bohrmaschine und Harken dabeizuhaben. Der Canyon hat potenzial, könnte jedoch an einigen Stellen neu Eingerichtet werden. Vorsicht beim Abklettern: Der Fels ist zwar meist griffig aber teils auch sehr Rutschig. This canyon would have a lot of potential if it had been redesigned in places. The Hirschwängbach is a beautiful canyon on the border between Germany and Austria. Access begins at the Hotel Ammerwald near Reutte in Tyrol, close to the Plansee lake. The hiking trail towards Berggasthaus Bleckenau leads over a small wooden bridge over a branch of the Schafblassenbach. A waterfall can be seen to the left of the wooden bridge, below the bridge is the entry point to the canyon. The canyon has many downclimbs and occasionally has the character of aquatic hikes between the abseils. These downclimbs make the canyon challenging. The rappels have the following heights: 12m, 15m, 10m, 10m, 15m, 10m, 10m, 15m, 10m, 12m. Not all anchor points were in good condition, one was no longer usable. However, there were either natural anchor points available or downclimbing/running around was possible. It is recommended to have a 35m-40m rope or a drill and rakes with you. The canyon has potential, but could be redone in some places. Be careful when downclimbing: The rock is mostly grippy but sometimes very slippery. Ein Canyon mit Rutschen und Sprüngen zum Toben und Spaß haben. Die Stuibenfälle sind ein Klassiker unter den Canyons bei Reutte. Hier ist wohl immer jemand unterwegs und der Zutritt ist reglementiert. Es geht lost mit einem ca. 5m Sprung. Anschleißend folgt eine etwa 25m hohe Abseilstelle. Es folgt ein weitere Sprung von ca. 4m. Der Höhepunkt ist eine 18m+15m Abseilstelle, wobei die 15m oft auch gesprungen werden. Ein Sprung ist bei dieser Höhe nicht ohne Risiko! Es folgt noch einmal ein Sprung von etwa 5m. Empfehlung: Jetzt aussteigen und zurück zum Parkplatz - Alternativ folgend nach einer langen Laufstrecke weitere Sprünge. A canyon with slides and jumps to let off steam and have fun. The Stuiben Falls are a classic among the canyons near Reutte. There is probably always someone out and about here and access is regulated. It starts with a 5m jump. This is followed by a 25m high abseil. This is followed by another jump of approx. 4m. The highlight is an 18m+15m abseil, whereby the 15m are often also jumped. A jump at this height is not without risk! This is followed by another jump of about 5m. Recommendation: Get out now and return to the parking lot - alternatively, there are more jumps after a long run. All rappels in the dry. Nevertheless, high risk, as the Pourtset is crossed several times. There are several potentially critical points which should not be underestimated. Be careful, it is slippery. This canyon is very scenic. No emergency exits.

Am 23.09.2020 waren wir zum Canyoning im Cascades de Thuy (Torrent de Septumian). Dieser Canyon ist ein sehr kurzer Canyon. Der Höhepunkt ist ein 107m hoher Wasserfall, wobei es hier zwei zwischenstände gibt. Anker sehr gut platziert. Seien Sie vorsichtig, es besteht ein extremes Risiko Steine loszutreten Klares Wasser solange keiner im Canyon ist. Durch die Canyonisten entsteht Schmutzwasser. On 23.09.2020 we went canyoning in the Cascades de Thuy (Torrent de Septumian). This canyon is a very short canyon. The highlight is a 107m high waterfall, with two intermediate stands. Anchor very well placed. Be careful, there is an extreme risk of kicking stones loose Clear water as long as no one is in the canyon. Dirty water is created by the canyonists. The scenic landscape is very beautiful and you have a great view. What's missing are deep gulches: there are only a few meters every now and then. This canyon should preferably be visited when the sun is shining. It is worth it! The canyon is long, so it's better not to do it in one day, but take your time, have fun and get off at the bridge to Mondelli and get back on again later.

Koritnica ist eine wunderschöne Schlucht in Slowenien. Der Canyon ist tief eingeschnitten und Felsen und Wasser haben bezaubernde Farben. Unter Profils dauert eine Canyoning Tour hier nicht lange, Anfängern wird schnell kalt und geraten an einigen Stellen womöglich an Ihre Grenzen. Gleich am Anfang, direkt bei der ersten Abseilstelle, sind Wildwassererfahrungen hilfreich. Direkt unten angekommen muss man das Wildwasser kreuzen, um den Pool zu verlassen. Eigentlich kein Problem, aber im Zweifel hilft es, wenn der erste einen Wurfsack dabei hat. Es gibt noch einen sehr schönen Sprung und kurz vor dem Ende wir es noch einmal technisch etwas anspruchsvoller: Mittels Klem-und-Stemmtechnik oberhalb von Wildwasser ein paar Meter Langhangeln. Koritnica is a beautiful canyon in Slovenia. The canyon is cut to a depth and the rocks and water have enchanting colors. A canyoning tour here doesn't take long under professional conditions, beginners quickly get cold and may reach their limits in some places. Right at the beginning, directly at the first abseiling point, white water experience is helpful. Once you reach the bottom, you have to cross the white water to leave the pool. Not really a problem, but if in doubt, it helps if the first person has a throw bag with them. There is another very nice jump and shortly before the exit, it gets a little more technically challenging: a few meters of long shimmying using the cling and stem technique above the white water. We have refurbished the Rio Bard in places. However, only "expedition material" was used. The new abseil lines now run through the water - a great pleasure. The access is steep, but quickly done. A very impressive canyon with many beautiful abseiling spots awaits you in Zemola. The canyon is deeply cut and varied. A geyser at the exit. Access with re-parking: The descent from the parking lot to the canyon is somewhat tedious and takes almost 1 hour. Reparking does not save any time and does not make access any easier. Landschaftlich sehr schön, echtes Canyoning Feeling kommt jedoch leider nicht auf. Da dieser Canyon sehr schön ist, bin ich froh diesen einmal begangen zu sein. Für eine super Canyoning Tour braucht man einen sensationellen Canyon, optionale Bedingungen, eine gute Truppe und einen möglichst komfortablen zustieg und Rückweg. Meistens. Für Mortitx gilt, dass man ehr gute Bedingungen (Sonne & optimale Wassermenge) und eine gute Truppe braucht. Wenn man dann noch mit der Einstellung herangeht, dass man eine ausgiebige Wanderung unternimmt, welche zwischendurch ein paar Stunden Canyoning enthält, dann darf man sich auf einen perfekten, sensationellen Tag freuen! Mit Wasser ist Mortitx ein traumhafter Canyon. For a superiore canyoning tour you need a sensational canyon, optional conditions, a good group and a comfortable access and return route. Most of the time. For Mortitx, you need good conditions (sun & optimal water quantity) and a good group. If you then approach it with the mindset that you are undertaking an extensive hike, which includes a few hours of canyoning in between, then you can look forward to a perfect, sensational day! With water, Mortitx is a fantastic canyon. For the way back, it is advisable to have a flashlight and a compass or GPS with you, as you can potentially lose your bearings on the way back through the grass in the dark. Acles ist ein sehr schöner Canyon in den Hohen Alpen in Frankreich. Das Wasser ist frisch und klar, die Gesteinsformationen sind eindrucksvoll und es gibt ein paar tolle Abseilstellen. Eine Canyoning Tour im Acles dauert nicht sonderlich lange. In den Jahren 2015, 2016, 2017 und 2018 besucht. Es war jedes mal Tool! Bei einer für 2022 geplannten Tour hatten wir kurzfristig umdisponiert, da der Canyon Acles wohl bei Unwettern im September ziemlich verwüstet wurde. Acles is a very beautiful canyon in the High Alps in France. The water is fresh and clear, the rock formations are impressive and there are some great abseiling spots. A canyoning tour in the Acles does not take very long. Visited in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018. It was a tool every time! We changed our plans for a tour planned for 2022 at short notice, as the Acles canyon was devastated by storms in September.
