Von Riva del Garda am Nordufer des Gardasees auf der "Gardesana Occidentale" - SS 45 ca. 23,5 km südwärts, wo dann in spitzem Winkel die Straße nach Tignale(SP 38) abzweigt. Auf dieser 2,8 km bergauf, bis die Straße in einer markanten Rechtskurve den "Vione" (eigentlich heißt der Bach wohl Rio Sernifa) überquert. Bei der Brücke das untere Auto parken. Mit dem anderen Fahrzeug weitere 4,2 km hinauf, bis links die Straße nach Gardola abzweigt. Durch Gordola und am nördlichen Ortsausgang links die Via Panoramica in Richtung Aer (571 m ü.NN), an dieser Ortschaft rechts vorbei bis zum Ende der Teerstraße. Hier das zweite Fahrzeug abstellen.

From Riva del Garda on the northern shore of Lake Garda on the "Gardesana Occidentale" - SS 45 approx. 23.5 km southwards, where the road to Tignale (SP 38) branches off at an acute angle. Follow this road uphill for 2.8 km until the road crosses the "Vione" (the stream is actually called Rio Sernifa) in a sharp right-hand bend. Park the lower car at the bridge. Take the other car uphill for another 4.2 km until the road to Gardola branches off to the left. Go through Gordola and at the northern end of the village turn left onto Via Panoramica towards Aer (571 m above sea level), pass this village on the right until you reach the exit of the tarred road. Park the second vehicle here.

Wir gehen auf einem Waldweg (Kompass Wanderweg Nr. 251) weiter. Dieser führt uns bergab und kreuzt nach etwa 800 m einen Bach (Rio Nota) - Einstieg. Man kann auch schon etwas früher auf Steigspuren zum Bach absteigen, sobald man ihn sieht. ( 00h 20' )

We continue on a forest path (compass hiking trail no. 251). This leads us downhill and crosses a stream (Rio Nota) after about 800 m - entry. You can also descend a little earlier on footpaths to the stream as soon as you see it. ( 00h 20' )

Über diesen orograf. linken Seitenbach kommt man nach einigen kleinen Stufen in den Vione sup. Andernorts (zB. in "Gole und Canyons") ist ein Zustieg von orograf. re. Seite direkt in den Rio Sernifa (Vione) beschrieben. Kurz nach dem Zusammenfluss von Rio Nota (mit mehreren kleinen Rutschen und Sprüngen) und Rio Sernifa trifft man auf eine ca. 9 m lange Holperrutsche. Direkt danach kann man auf einem Pfad nach links wieder zum oberen Parkplatz aufsteigen. Der darauffolgende 8-m-Abseiler sollte nur bei ausreichender Tiefe des Gumpens (prüfen!) gesprungen werden. Der untere Abschnitt des Vione (ab der Straßenbrücke)hinunter zum Gardasee ist ein reiner Abseilcanyon (16 Abseiler, max. 45 m, z.T. ausgesetzter Zugang, ca. 3 Std.) mit einem leider verunreinigten Wasser, was vor allem bei unzureichendem Durchsatz im Hochsommer zum Risiko wird. Derzeit (2012) ist eine Begehung verboten. Inzwischen hat die Gemeinde Tignalga eine umfangreiche Begehungsregelung für den Vione erlassen, deren wesentlicher Inhalt die Entrichtung eines Entgelts (2012 : 2 Euro) beim Fremdenverkehrsbüro (ufficio del turismo) in Tignalga ist.

After a few small steps up this orographic left-side tributary, you reach the superiore Vione. Elsewhere (e.g., in “Gole und Canyons”), access from the orographic right side directly into the Rio Sernifa (Vione) is described. Shortly after the confluence of the Rio Nota (with several small slides and jumps) and the Rio Sernifa, you’ll encounter an approximately 9-meter-long bumpy slide. Immediately afterward, you can follow a trail to the left back up to the upper parking lot. The subsequent 8-meter rappel should only be attempted if the pool has sufficient depth (check!). The lower part of the Vione (from the road bridge) down to Lake Garda is a pure rappel canyon (16 rappels, max. 45 m, some exposed access points, approx. 3 hours) with water that is, unfortunately, polluted—a risk especially when flow is insufficient in midsummer. Currently (2012), access is prohibited. In the meantime, the municipality of Tignalga has enacted comprehensive regulations for access to the Vione, the main provision of which requires the payment of a fee (2012: 2 euros) at the tourist office (ufficio del turismo) in Tignalga.
