Von Tolmezzo fährt man auf der Bundesstraße SS512 Richtung Gemona-Udine --> vorbei am See (Lago di Cavazzo)--> den Straßenverlauf folgen -->re Richtung Forgaria abbiegen --> nach ca. 100m li Richtung Peonis --> in Peonis li halten Richtung Forgaria (Straße SP41) --> bei Forgaria weiter li halten Richtung Flagogna (Straße SP22) -->bei der Straßengabelung ohne Beschilderung gerade aus --> re Richtung Pinzano (Straße SP 1) -->li über die Brücke --> nach der Brücke re Richtung Vito d’Asio --> in Vito d’Asio der Hauptstraße Richtung Clauzetto folgen --> (nur für Ausstiegsvariante 3: bevor man von Clauzetto weiter zum Einstieg fährt, muss das Überstellungsfahrzeug am Ausstieg der Tour parkiert werden --> dazu fährt man in Clauzetto Richtung Spilimbergo --> durch die Ortschaft Dominisia hinunter bis Noraz --> neben der Straße (Bach Rio Molino) in der Nähe der Kletterwand (im Wald versteckt) befinden sich einige Parkmöglichkeiten --> danach fährt man mit dem 2. PKW wieder hoch nach Clauzetto) --> in Clauzetto geht es weiter hoch Richtung Grotto Pradis (Gerchia)--> vorbei an Grotto Pradis gelangt man in den kleinen Ort Gerchia hier biegt man kurz re (Richtung Fonte Pradis) und nach der Kirche gleich wieder li ab--> Straße links folgen -->in kürze kommt man links zu einer großen Schotterfläche (Einstiegsparkplatz).

From Tolmezzo take the main road SS512 towards Gemona-Udine --> pass the lake (Lago di Cavazzo)--> follow the road --> turn right towards Forgaria --> after approx. 100m left towards Peonis --> in Peonis keep left towards Forgaria (road SP41) --> in Forgaria keep left towards Flagogna (road SP22) --> at the fork in the road without signs straight ahead --> right towards Pinzano (road SP 1) --> right over the bridge --> after the bridge right towards Vito d'Asio --> in Vito d'Asio follow the main road towards Clauzetto --> (only for exit option 3: before you continue from Clauzetto to the entry, the shuttle car must be parked at the exit of the tour --> to do this, drive in Clauzetto towards Spilimbergo --> drive down through the village of Dominisia to Noraz --> next to the road (Rio Molino stream) near the climbing wall (hidden in the forest) there are some parking facilities --> then take the 2nd shuttle car back up to Clauzetto --> after the exit, drive back up to Clauzetto. In Clauzetto continue uphill towards Grotto Pradis (Gerchia)--> pass Grotto Pradis and you will reach the small village of Gerchia. Turn right here (towards Fonte Pradis) and then immediately left again after the church--> follow the road to the left--> you will soon come to a large gravel area on the left (parking entry).

Vom Parkplatz aus folgt man der Straße in Fahrtrichtung bis zu einer Leitplanke. Bei der Leitplanke steigt man li über kleine Stufen und kurze /steile Böschung direkt in den Bach auf ca.500Hm ab.

From the parking lot, follow the road in the direction of travel until you reach a crash barrier. At the crash barrier, you descend left over small steps and a short/steep slope directly into the stream at an altitude of approx. 500m.

(optional 1h20min oder 4-5h) Die Schlucht beginnt auf ca. 500Hm mit einem kurzen flachen Gehabschnitt bevor die erste aquatische 10m Abseilstelle an der künstlichen Mauer in den sehr eingeschnittenen Teil führt. Hat man hier schon das Gefühl es sei zu viel Wasser in der Schlucht, sollte die Tour nicht fortgesetzt werden da noch weitere Zuflüsse den Bach speisen. Passt der Wasserstand jedoch, seilt man sich in die Engstelle ab. Die Felswände sind im ersten Abschnitt nicht hoch (20m), jedoch ist die Schlucht zum Teil nicht breiter als 50cm. Durch mehrere kleinen Becken und Abkletterpassagen kommt man zur Grotto Verdi, die auch für Touristen zugänglich ist. In Mitten dieser eher offenen Grotte findet man die Zweite ca. 10m Abseilstelle hinter einen großen Felsblock, bevor es dann wieder enger wird. Am Ende der eingeschnittenen Passage kommt ein Zufluss (Rio Molat) von li. in den Bach. Kurz darauf öffnet sich die Schlucht und man kommt zu einer 3m Sprungstelle mit einem schönen Felsbogen. Danach folgt man den Bach für ca. 50m bis zu den roten Markierungspunkte (links) und Trittbügel (siehe Ausstiegsvariante 1). Um die letzte schöne Engpassage mit weiteren schönen Aushöhlungen sehen zu können muss aber im Bachbett weiter abgestiegen werden. Es folgen mehrere Abkletterpassagen bis zu einem Felssturz wo man sich li ca. 12m durch enge Windungen hindurch seilen kann oder re umgeht/abklettert. Nach einem großen Felsblock mit Durchschlupfmöglichkeit kommt die letzte Abseilstelle von ca. 7m in sehr dunklen Gumpen (Achtung! Der kleine Gumpen kann bei hohem Wasserstand eine starke Strömung erzeugen). Am Ende dieser kurzen Abseilstelle befinden sich wunderschöne Felsauswaschung (Bogen/Löcher). Dieser Abschnitt wird von einem tiefen Gumpen mit riesigem Felsblock (Siphon), den man links umschwimmt, beendet (nur gefährlich bei starker Strömung!). Danach kommt die 2. Ausstiegsvariante die unserer Meinung nach am besten ist. Entscheidet man sich für die Bachwanderung so sehe man sich die Variante 3 an.

(optional 1h20min or 4-5h) The canyon begins at approx. 500m with a short flat section of walking before the first aquatic 10m abseil on the artificial wall leads into the very incised part. If you already have the feeling that there is too much water in the canyon, the tour should not be continued as there are other tributaries feeding the stream. However, if the water level passes, you can rappel into the narrow section. The rock walls are not high in the first part (20m), but the canyon is no wider than 50cm in places. Through several small pools and downclimbs, you reach the Grotto Verdi, which is also open to tourists. In the middle of this rather open grotto you will find the second abseiling point about 10m behind a large boulder, before it gets narrower again. At the exit of the incised passage, a tributary (Rio Molat) enters the stream from the left. Shortly afterwards, the canyon opens up and you come to a 3m jump with a beautiful rock arch. Then follow the stream for about 50m until you reach the red markers (left) and step bars (see exit option 1). In order to see the last beautiful narrow passage with further beautiful hollows, you have to descend further in the streambed. This is followed by several downclimbs to a rockfall where you can ropes through tight turns for about 12m or go around/downclimb right. After a large boulder with the possibility to slip through comes the last abseiling point of approx. 7m in a very dark pool (Caution! The small pool can create a strong current when the water level is high). At the exit of this short abseil section there are beautiful rock washouts (arches/holes). This part ends with a deep pool with a huge boulder (siphon), which you swim around on the left (only dangerous if the current is strong!). Then comes the 2nd exit option, which in our opinion is the best. If you decide to take the river walk, take a look at variant 3.

Man hat drei Ausstiegsmöglichkeiten. Wir empfehlen die zweite Variante da man nach den schönsten Stellen rechts aussteigen kann und kein Überstellungsfahrzeug benötigt wird. Variante 1(ca. 30min): Ca. 50m nach dem Felsbogensprung sieht man links einen roten Farbpunkt am Felsen. Hier führt ein schmaler Pfad auf der orographisch linken Seite aus der Schlucht. Variante 2 (ca. 50min): Nach den schönen Felsbögen (Engstelle) und der Siphonstelle (Schwimmstelle) öffnet sich die Schlucht. Hier trifft man nach wenigen Schritten im flachen Bachbett auf einen einzelnen Felsen in Mitten des Bachbettes (auf gleicher Höhe kleiner Zufluss links, meist trocken). An dieser Stelle (rote Farbmarkierung) steigt man rechts aus dem Bach aus und ca. 20Hm steil hoch zu einem schmalen Steig mit Drahtseilsicherung. Man folgt dem Steig zuerst auf der orographisch rechten Seite etwas oberhalb der Schlucht wieder Bachaufwärts und überquert diesen dann bei den zwei Steigbügeln, die man zuvor passiert hat. Auf der anderen Seite (orographisch links) folgt man dann wieder den roten Punkten und den gut sichtbaren Pfad aus der Schlucht. Nach einigen Höhenmeter führt der Pfad unterhalb einer Felswand vorbei und weiters in Richtung flacheres Waldgelände. Man bleibt auf dem Hauptweg und haltet sich bei der Gabelung links um in Kürze zur Straße der Grotto Pradis und Parkplatz zurück zu gelangen. Variante 3: Ab hier hat man für ca. 2-3Std längere Geh- und Abkletterpassagen mit einigen Sprüngen und Schwimmstrecken, die am Lago del Tul auf ca. 280Hm enden. Achtung! Bei höheren Wasserstand sollten die Einzellpassagen nicht unterschätzt werden! Der gekennzeichnete Weg auf der li. Schluchtseite, ist wirklich nur im Notfall zu empfehlen, da dieser oft nur schlecht erkennbare Weg für längere Zeit durch abschüssiges Gelände und Dornensträucher zum See führt. Am Anfang des Sees steigt man li steil in den Wald hinauf, bis man zu einem nicht gekennzeichneten (nicht auf der Karte eingezeichneten) Pfad kommt. Diesen folgt man in südlicher Richtung bis zu einer Anhöhe (freie Fläche). Ab hier geht der Pfad bergab zu einen kleinen Bach(Rio Molino) und der Straße wo man das 2. Auto zuvor abgestellt hat.

You have three exit options. We recommend the second option because you can get out after the most beautiful places on the right and no shuttle car is needed. Variant 1(approx. 30min): Approx. 50m after the rock arch jump you can see a red colored dot on the left side of the rock. Here a narrow path leads out of the canyon on the orographic left side. Variant 2 (approx. 50min): After the beautiful rock arches (narrow point) and the siphon point (swimming point), the canyon opens up. Here, after a few steps in the shallow streambed, you meet a single rock in the middle of the streambed (at the same level small tributary on the left, mostly dry). At this point (red color marking), exit the stream to the right and climb steeply for about 20 meters to a narrow path with wire rope protection. Follow the path on the orographic right side a bit above the canyon upstream and cross it at the two stirrups you passed before. On the other side (orographically left), follow the red dots and the clearly visible path out of the canyon. After a few meters of altitude, the path passes below a rock wall and continues towards flatter forest terrain. Stay on the main path and keep left at the fork to return shortly to the Grotto Pradis road and parking area. Variant 3: From here you have for about 2-3h longer walking and downclimb with some jumps and swims, ending at Lago del Tul at about 280Hm. Attention. At higher water levels, the single passages should not be underestimated! The marked path on the left side of the gorge, is really only recommended in case of emergency, because this often poorly visible path leads for a long time through sloping terrain and thorn bushes to the lake. At the beginning of the lake, climb steeply up the left side into the forest until you reach an unmarked path (not shown on the map). Follow this path in a southerly direction until you reach a hill (open area). From here the path goes downhill to a small stream (Rio Molino) and the road where you left the 2nd car before.
