Von Sao Vicente auf der VE2 Richtung Seical / Porto Moniz fahren. Nach dem Tunnel Joao Delgado am Aussichtspunkt parken.

From Sao Vicente, take the VE2 in the direction of Seical / Porto Moniz. Park at the viewpoint after the Joao Delgado tunnel.

Vom Aussichtspunkt der alten Küstenstraße zurück Richtung Sao Vicente folgen. Kurz vor dem alten, inzwischen verschütteten Tunnel geht auf der rechten Seite ein steiler Pfad hinauf. Dieser ist anfangs an alten Treppenstufen sehr gut erkennbar und offensichtlich. Nach bereits nach kurzer Zeit lässt die qualität des alten Weges spürbar nach. Der Zustand wird immer schlechter und gefährlicher. Wer ein mulmiges Gefühl hat, sollte besser gleich umkehren. Der Pfad ist stellenweise sehr stark zugewachsen. Das Vorankommen ist daher sehr mühsam und langsam. Auf ca. 200 Höhenmeter ist das schlimmste überstanden und der Weg ist wieder in einem begehbaren Zustand.

From the viewpoint, follow the old coastal road back towards Sao Vicente. Shortly before the old tunnel, which is now buried, a steep path goes up on the right-hand side. At the beginning, it is very easy to recognize and obvious from the old steps. After a short time, the quality of the old path deteriorates noticeably. The condition becomes worse and worse and more dangerous. If you have a queasy feeling, it is better to turn back immediately. The path is very overgrown in places. Progress is therefore very difficult and slow. After about 200 meters in altitude, the worst is over and the path is once again in a passable condition.

Wunderschöner Canyon. Ankerpunkte überwiegend in guten Zustand, teilweise hochwertige Titan-Klebehaken. Ca 20 bis 30 Meter unterhalb des Ankerpunktes des C90 befindet sich ein Felsenfenster des Tunnels der alten Küstenstraße ER 101. Bei Flut bzw. zu starken Wellengang kann der Canyon hier verlassen werden. Ein sicherer Rückweg über die ER101 ist jedoch aufgrund zahlreicher Erdrutsche NICHT mehr gegeben. Die alter Straße exisitert in weiten teilen nicht mehr!

Beautiful canyon. Anchor points mostly in good condition, some high-quality titanium glued anchors. Approx. 20 to 30 meters below the anchor point of the C90 there is a rock window of the tunnel of the old coastal road ER 101. The canyon can be left here at high tide or if the waves are too strong. However, there is NO longer a safe way back via the ER101 due to numerous landslides. Large parts of the old road no longer exist!

Der C90 endet direkt unterhalb der Steilküste am Atlantik. Der Rückweg entlang der Steilküste ist nur bei Niedrigwasser möglich.

The C90 exits directly below the cliffs on the Atlantic Ocean. The way back along the cliffs is only possible at low tide.
