Fonissa-Wasserfall ist seit 2 Jahren trocken. Viel Schilf-man kann zu den Mühlen laufen- einige Tümpel und viel zugewachsen.
Fonissa waterfall has been dry for 2 years. Lots of reeds - you can walk to the mills - some ponds and lots of overgrowth.

Trotz zahlreicher Kommentare von einer Begehung abzusehen, war es heute wunderschön. Eine unglaublich kontinuierliche Schlucht mit einigen Sprüngen in fantastischer Landschaft. Der Wasserstand kann für erfahrene Canyonisten auch noch höher sein. Zu zweit in 2.45 h mit zahlreichen Fotostops. Gehört in meine persönliche Top Ten.
Despite numerous comments to refrain from an ascent, it was beautiful today. An incredibly continuous canyon with some jumps in fantastic scenic surroundings. The water level can be even higher for experienced canyonists. Two people did it in 2.45 hours with numerous photo stops. Belongs in my personal top ten.

Sehr viel Sand und Lehm am Grund, was das Begehen mühsam macht, dazu ist auf allen Felsen ein Film aus Sand, was alles rutschig macht-mehr Zeit einplanen! Fahrzeug oben an der Strasse parken! Runterlaufen ist schneller, Piste ist teils ausgewaschen. Durch die vielen Sedimente ist das Wasser grau. Die Schlucht ist ein Erlebnis, zwei dunkle Passagen!
A lot of sand and clay at the bottom, which makes it difficult to walk, plus there is a film of sand on all the rocks, which makes everything slippery - plan more time! Park your vehicle at the top of the road! Walking down is faster, the slope is partly washed out. The water is gray due to the many sediments. The canyon is an experience, two dark passages!

Aging anchors, double stands partly destroyed. High water level, but only two water contacts in the stream.

Holz am Anfang und nicht wirklich schön, genauso nach dem hohen Wasserfall. Dazwischen hat es wirklich schöne und schluchtige Passagen.
Wood at the beginning and not really beautiful, just as after the high waterfall. In between it has really beautiful and gorge passages.

Eigentlich ist nur mehr der Teil oberhalb der Brücke vom Zustieg und die Abseiler danach lohnenswert. Vieles scheint zusammengestürzt und es ist auch nicht wirklich schön.
Actually, only the part above the bridge from the approach and the abseils afterwards are worthwhile. Much seems to have collapsed and it is also not really beautiful.

Unsre zweite Begehung. Mittlerweile liegt dermassen viel Holz in der Schlucht, dass es mühsam wird. Die Schlucht selbst ist schön, aber total überbewertet. Sehr viel Latscherei.
Our second ascent. Meanwhile, there is so much wood in the gorge that it becomes tedious. The gorge itself is beautiful, but totally overrated. Very much Latscherei.

EDF lässt dieses Wochenende das gesamte Wasser durch den Bach, dadurch erhöhter Wasserfluss. Der Anfang ist super, dann naja. Überbewertet Canyon.
EDF lets all the water through the stream this weekend, thus increased water flow. The beginning is great, then well. Overrated canyon.

Für diesen Canyon sehr niedriger Wasserstand. Bei höherem Durchfluss gibt es viele Haken, die ausserhalb des Wassers das Abseilen ermöglichen.
Very low water level for this canyon. At higher flow there are many hooks that allow rappelling outside the water.

Durchweg Kettenstände (oder 2 einzelne), eine Kette nur noch an einem Anker. Unglaublich schönes Panorama. Wasserstand derzeit eher tief, Top Bedingungen. Gute Geher schaffen den Zustieg auch in 2 h, man muss bis auf 2130 m, dann wieder 90 hm runter. Zeit im Canyon eher 3-4 h.
Chain stands (or 2 single) throughout, one chain left only on one anchor. Incredibly beautiful panorama. Water level currently rather low, top conditions. Good walkers manage the approach also in 2 h, you have to go up to 2130 m, then down again 90 hm. Time in the canyon rather 3-4 h.

Wasserstand ist sehr niedrig. Egal, welche 4 Routen man nimmt, auf dem Band überall Seile, mit denen man sich ganz auf das Band ziehen kann.
Water level is very low. No matter which 4 routes you take, on the tape everywhere ropes with which you can pull yourself all the way on the tape.

Der obere Teil ist unglaublich schön. Abseiler über Platten und tolle Landschaft. Ab der Hälfte werden die Laufpassagen lang und die Attraktivität lässt nach. Bei zunehmender Rutschigkeit nervt das, auch wenn Steinmännchen viele Umleitungen anzeigen.
The upper part is incredibly beautiful. Abseiling over slabs and great scenery. From the half, the running passages are long and the attractiveness decreases. With increasing slipperiness this is annoying, even if cairns indicate many detours.

Zum dritten Mal begangen und die Laufpassagen sind zu lang. Sehr schöne Abseiler dazwischen. Wer flott ist, benötigt dieselbe Zeit für Hin - und Rückweg wie für den Canyon. Doppelt inverse Schlucht: Sehr viele Höhenmeter für nichts 😁
Walked for the third time and the walking passages are too long. Very nice rappels in between. If you are brisk, you need the same time for the way there and back as for the canyon. Double inverse canyon: Very many meters of altitude for nothing 😁

Der Weg ist ziemlich zugewachsen, wer nicht weiss, wo dieser verlaufen sollte, sucht etwas länger. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Canyons im Tessin noch wenig rutschig.
The path is quite overgrown, who does not know where this should run, search a little longer. Unlike other canyons in Ticino still little slippery.
