Tour nach Sulzer Wasserfälle. Einstieg selektiv nach der zweiten Brücke auf der orographisch rechten Seite nach unten ins Bachbett. Nach 50m direkt erste Abkletterstelle. Dann mit wenigen Gehstrecken eine Abfolge aus Abseilstellen, Rutschen und Sprüngen. Becken teilweise sehr tief, teilweise zugesandet. Deshalb unbedingt auschecken. Aktuelle Topos folgt. Der Beschreibung von Bavarian Canyoning kann ich mich nicht anschließen. An 2 Abseilstellen waren Einzelhaken, der Rest Kettenstände. An jeder relevanten Stelle gab es Haken. Davon keiner verbogen, allerdings einer verrostet. An 2 Abseilstellen ist eine Seilbahn möglich und ermöglicht richtig coole Abseiler. Seilgeländer beim vorletzten Abseiler zum Kettenstand kann bei Bedarf aufgebaut werden. Wesentlich witziger ist jedoch der Einzelhaken orographisch links, der nach kurzem Abseilen direkt durch den Strahl führt und einen ordentlich duscht. Becken ist auch zum rutschen und S10 tief genug. Daher ab in den Strahl loslassen und spaß haben🤩
Tour to the Sulzer Waterfalls. The entry is selective: after the second bridge, head down into the streambed on the orographic right side. The first downclimb comes immediately after 50 meters. Then, with only a few short walking passages, there’s a sequence of rappelling points, slides, and jumps. The pools have great depth in some places and are silted up in others. Therefore, be sure to check it out. Current topos to follow. I cannot agree with the description by Bavarian Canyoning. There were single anchors at 2 rappelling spots, the rest were chain anchors. There were anchors at every relevant spot. None of them were bent, though one was rusted. At two rappelling points, a rope slide is possible and allows for some really cool rappels. A rope traverse at the penultimate rappel to the chain anchor can be set up if needed. Much more fun, however, is the single hook on the orographic left, which, after a short rappel, leads directly through the waterfall and gives you a proper shower. The pool is also deep enough to slide on and for S10. So let go into the waterfall and have fun🤩

Totholz beim ersten Abseiler noch vorhanden. Standplätze waren alle mit Recht neuen Kettenständen eingerichtet. 3 Stände haben wir repariert, diese waren teilweise lose und einer ausgerissen. Hier neue Lasche und Mutter angebracht. Auf den insgesamt 98 Metern bis zum Ende der Tour, gab es 4 Zwischenstände. Hierbei erreichte keine Abseilstelle 40 Meter. 1. 28 Meter 2. 20 Meter 3. 20 Meter 4. 10 Meter 5. 20 Meter. Entsprechend hätte 1x 60m oder 2x 30m auch gereicht. Auf Grund vorliegender Topo haben wir mit 2x 50 regelrecht rumgeeiert.. aktuelle Topos mit allen Kettenständen und Möglichkeiten folgt. Bewertung wurde etwas angepasst, da insbesondere der exponierte Kettenstand technisch etwas anspruchsvoll ist und der rechte Einzelhaken durch einen Baum nicht nutzbar ist. Wir fanden deshalb für den Canyon und die schwierigste Einzelstelle eine Bewertung von V4 angebracht. Die Aquatik passt. Die Ernsthaftigkeit haben wir auf III angehoben, da 45 Minuten weder Hochwasserschutz noch Notausstieg möglich ist. Bei dem heutigen Sonnenschein war es ein wahnsinnig schöner Canyon mit entsprechend knapp 100 Zuschauern.
Deadwood was still present at the first rappel point. All belay stations had been properly equipped with new chain anchors. We repaired three stations; some were loose and one had been torn out. We attached new plates and nuts here. Over the total 98 meters to the exit of the route, there were 4 intermediate belay stations. None of the abseil points reached 40 meters. 1. 28 meters 2. 20 meters 3. 20 meters 4. 10 meters 5. 20 meters. Accordingly, 1x 60m or 2x 30m would have been sufficient. Based on the available topographic view, we really fumbled around with 2x 50m... updated topographic views with all chain anchors and options will follow. The rating has been adjusted slightly, as the exposed chain anchor in particular is technically somewhat challenging and the right single hook cannot be used due to a tree. We therefore found a rating of V4 appropriate for the canyon and the most difficult single section. The aquatic section is fine. We’ve raised the severity rating to III, as there’s no flood protection or emergency exit for 45 minutes. With today’s sunshine, it was an incredibly beautiful canyon with nearly 100 spectators.

Da andere Bäche in BGL zu voll waren, sind wir zur Taxaklamm (Danke @JoeyCIA für die Wasserstandsinfo). Relativ kurze Klamm durch die man auch mit mehrfachem Springen auf ca. 1,5h durch ist. Stände sind allesamt mit Kettenständen ausgestattet. Fixseil nur in Stahlseilausführung. Durch viel Metall super eingesichert. Sprünge und Rutschen waren alle machbar. 1-2 Becken aber teilweise nur 2m tief. Schöner als erwartet, darum durch den minimalistisch kurzen Zustieg direkt noch ne zweite Runde gedreht😁
Since other streams in BGL were too full, we headed to Taxaklamm (thanks @JoeyCIA for the water level info). It’s a relatively short gorge that you can get through in about 1.5 hours, even with multiple jumps. All the belay stations are equipped with chain anchors. Fixed ropes are all made of steel cable. Super secure thanks to all the metal. All the jumps and slides were doable. 1–2 pools, though some were only 2 m deep. Better than expected, so we went straight for a second run thanks to the minimal, short access😁

Ich bestätige, dass es sich bei diesem Canyon um eine Augenweide handelt. Der Zustieg ist einfach zu finden. Schöne Abseilstellen. Wir haben am langen Wochenende noch den Wiesbach Schwarzenbach & Archbach gemacht und dies war unser Favorit.
I confirm that this canyon is a feast for the eyes. The access is easy to find. Beautiful abseils. We did the Wiesbach Schwarzenbach & Archbach on the long weekend and this was our favorite.

Schöner einfacher, bequemer Zustieg über den Forstweg. Einfach zu finden. Wir waren danach noch am Schwarzenbach. Der Wiesbach ist definitiv der schönere.

Man kann direkt am Einstieg bei der kleinen Brücke parken. Die ersten zwei erwähnten AN Abseiler <5m kann man auch einfach über die Straße umgehen und danach abklappern, was sich auch empfiehlt. Die erste Stufe hat noch eine Bandschlinge um den Baum mit Kettenglied, die zweite danach aber nicht mehr. Viel Latscherei, sehr viel Holz im Canyon. Man ist quasi nur am Holz überklettern. Der 45m Endwassserfall ist natürlich das Highlight der Tour. Danach schöner Fußweg nach Chăteauvieux-les-Fossés. Dort hatten wir das 2. Auto geparkt.
You can park directly at the entry point by the small bridge. The first two mentioned AN rappels <5m can also simply be bypassed via the road and then rattled off, which is also recommended. The first step still has a sling around the tree with a chain link, but the second after that no longer does. There is a lot of slogging, a lot of wood in the canyon. You are basically just climbing over wood. The 45m final waterfall is of course the highlight of the tour. Then a nice walk to Chăteauvieux-les-Fossés. We parked the 2nd car there.

Die Beschreibung des Zugangs ist irreführend. Wir haben weiter unten geparkt, neben der Gîte Val-Sainte-Marie (47°03'46.8"N 6°01'21.3"E) und sind von dort aus runter zum Bach. Der Canyon steigert sich langsam von den Abseilstellen, was ihn sehr anfängerfreundlich macht. Nach dem letzten Abseilpunkt kann man links an einem Fixseil wieder hochklettern und in den Gumpen springen. Danach etwas dem Bachbett folgen. Auf der rechten Seite gibt es bald einen Wanderpfad der zu einer Brücke über den Bach führt. Kurz nach der Brücke führt ein steiler Pfad wieder hoch Straße. Man kommt dann an dem beschriebenen Kreuz in der Straßenkehre aus (47°03'58.5"N 6°01'08.8"E). Verankerung alle in Ordnung. Es liegen viele Bäume im Bach.
The description of the access is misleading. We parked further down, next to the Gîte Val-Sainte-Marie (47°03'46.8 "N 6°01'21.3 "E) and walked down to the stream from there. The canyon gradually climbs from the abseil points, making it very beginner-friendly. After the last anchor, you can climb back up on the left on a fixed rope and jump into the pool. Then follow the streambed a little. On the right-hand side there is soon a hiking trail that leads to a bridge over the stream. Shortly after the bridge, a steep path leads back up the road. You then come out at the cross described in the bend in the road (47°03'58.5 "N 6°01'08.8 "E). Anchoring all in order. There are many trees in the stream.

Tolle Tour! Am Ende der langen Piste kommt ein großer Parkplatz mit Bar, den man so dort gar nicht während der Anfahrt vermutet. Dort kann man sogar übernachten. Duschen gibt es auch. Am letzten Abseilpunkt gibt es zwei Möglichkeiten. Der rechte führt vermutlich direkt ins Meer, blöd wenn man kein Boot hat, welches einen abholt. Der linke am Baum führt auf das beschriebene Plateau direkt am Meer.
Great tour! At the exit of the long slope there is a large parking lot with a bar, which you wouldn't expect to see on the approach. You can even spend the night there. There are also showers. There are two options at the last anchor. The one on the right probably leads directly into the sea, which is a shame if you don't have a boat to pick you up. The one on the left by the tree leads to the described plateau right by the sea.

Die Höhle und ist absolut großartig! Wir sind allerdings vom letzten Parkplatz am Wendehammer nicht mehr weggekommen. Wenn es anfängt zu regnen wird der letzte Abschnitt spiegelglatt. Wir sind den Berg mit einem normalen PKW nicht mehr hoch gekommen und mussten dort übernachten und warten bis die Straße wieder trocken wird. Besser nicht zu weit fahren und am ersten Parkplatz parken.
The cave and is absolutely great! However, we couldn't get away from the last parking lot at the turnaround. When it starts to rain, the last part is as smooth as glass. We couldn't get up the mountain in a normal car and had to spend the night there and wait until the road dried out again. Better not to drive too far and park at the first parking lot.

Der Zuweg ist nicht allzu schwer. Im Vergleich zum Ciolesan, den wir gestern gemacht haben, wesentlich aquatischer, obwohl es nicht geregnet hat. Am Abseilpunkt 5 muss man unter dem Wasserfall in einer Engstelle durchgehen und dahinter auf einen siphonierten Stein klettern. Das war bei uns einfacher als es von oben aussah.
The approach path is not too difficult. Compared to the Ciolesan we did yesterday, much more aquatic, even though it wasn't raining. At anchor point 5, you have to pass under the waterfall in a narrow section and climb onto a siphoned rock behind it. This was easier for us than it looked from above.

Der Aufstieg ist etwas mühsam, der Canyon aber sehr gut eingerichtet, wunderschön und nicht allzu schwer. Wir hatten wenig Wasser (siehe Bild vom Einstiegsbecken).
The ascent is a bit tedious, but the canyon is very well set up, beautiful and not too difficult. We had little water (see picture of the entrance pool).

Der Aufstieg ist ziemlich steil und mühsam. Die blauen Punkte sind sehr hilfreich und erleichterten die Wegfindung sehr. Dir Abseilpunkte kommen dicht hintereinander. Man muss wenig im Bach laufen. Der Abseilpunkt 2 ist der exponierteste. An ihm kommt man auch bei der Bachquerung auf dem Hinweg vorbei. Keine Ahnung was das handschriftliche "No tassable" auf dem Flussschild am Einstiegsparkplatz bedeuten soll. Wir haben erst gerätselt, ob es "no passable" heißt.
The ascent is quite steep and arduous. The blue dots are very helpful and make it much easier to find the way. The anchors are close together. You don't have to walk much in the stream. Anchor 2 is the most exposed. You also pass it when crossing the stream on the way there. I have no idea what the handwritten "No tassable" on the river sign at the parking entry point is supposed to mean. At first we wondered whether it meant "no passable".

Es kann aktuell nichts gesprungen oder gerutscht werden. Der ganze Canyon ist voller Kies. Das Wasser ist oft nur knietief.
Nothing can be jumped or slid at the moment. The whole canyon is full of gravel. The water is often only knee-deep.

Am Anfang viel Bachlatscherei. V4A4II kommt schon hin. Die Abseilpunkte sind oft nicht hoch, dafür aber ausgesetzt. Oft hoher Wasserdruck, aber viele Stellen kann man seitlich einfach umlaufen. "Für Anfänger geeignet", wie es in der Beschreibung heißt, stimmt also nur bedingt. Wir wurden am Ende noch von Einheimischen darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass man doch auf jeden Fall sich beim Kraftwerksbetreiber informieren solle über geplante Spülungen, weil dann der Wasserdruck innerhalb kürzester Zeit stark ansteigt.
A lot of stream gossip at the beginning. V4A4II is fine. The anchors are often not high, but exposed. Water pressure is often high, but many places can be easily bypassed to the side. "Suitable for beginners", as it says in the description, is only partly true. At the exit, locals pointed out to us that we should always check with the power plant operator about planned flushing, as the water pressure then rises sharply within a very short time.

Wir haben den oberen Einstieg nach dem Bunker gesucht. Der Weg ist sehr steil und scheint teilweise durch Erdrutsche zerstört zu sein. Da wir uns nicht sicher waren, ob wir im Zweifelsfall überhaupt wieder hoch kommen würden sind wir nicht in den oberen Teil eingestiegen. Wir sind wieder zurück zum Einstieg des mittleren Teils, wo auch die kommerziellen Touren beginnen, und sind dort eingestiegen [45.000592°, 6.669223°]. Der Teil ist nett.
We looked for the upper entry after the bunker. The path is very steep and seems to have been partially destroyed by landslides. As we weren't sure whether we would be able to get back up at all in case of doubt, we didn't go to the upper part. We went back to the entry of the middle part, where the commercial tours also start, and got in there [45.000592°, 6.669223°]. This part is nice.

Der Einstieg zum Weg im Dorf ist etwas schwer zu finden. Steil die Wiese hoch, dann ist der Pfad zu erkennen. Wir sind aus Versehen dem Abstieg am ausgeschilderten Canyoning Parkplatz an der Asphalt Straße für angemeldete Canyoning Gruppen gefolgt. Dann landet man aber direkt an den zwei letzten 30 Meter Abseiler. So haben wir den 1. Teil des Canyons verpasst. Man muss wohl bei den Parkplätzen noch ein Stückchen weiter der Straße folgen.
The entry to the path in the village is a little difficult to find. Steeply up the meadows, then the path is recognizable. We accidentally followed the descent at the signposted canyoning parking lot on the asphalt road for registered canyoning groups. But then you end up directly at the last two 30-metre rappels. So we missed the first part of the canyon. You probably have to follow the road a little further from the parking lots.

Ein Prachtstück, das man begangen haben sollte, wenn man in der Gegend ist! Auch hier haben wir uns, wie beim Babos Canyon, bis zum markierten Parkplatz an der Kirche mit einem Geländewagen bringen lassen und sind auf dem Rückweg bis zur asphaltierten Straße gelaufen.
A gem that you should visit if you are in the area! As with Babos Canyon, we took an off-road vehicle to the marked parking lot at the church and walked back to the paved road.

Wir haben uns zum Einstieg von unserem Campingplatzbetreiber mit einem Geläbdewagen für 10 Euro p.P. bringen lassen. Das war gut investiertes Geld. Unsere Autos haben wir bei den heißen Quellen auf dem großen Parkplatz abgestellt.
We had our campsite operator take us to the entry point in a van for 10 euros per person. That was money well spent. We parked our cars in the large parking lot by the hot springs.

Alle Sicherungen okay. Hochlaufen vom Ausstieg zum Einstieg parallel zur Straße nicht weit, aber ungemütlich. Nach der letzten Abseilstelle gibt es noch ein paar Stellen zum Abklettern bevor auf der linken Seite ein Weg parallel zum Bach verläuft und hoch zum Parkplatz führt. Sammlerstück

Bei der Anfahrt aus Richtung Bellinzona schickt das Navigationsgerät uns immer durch die Ortschaft mit extrem engen Stellen. Für größere Fahrzeuge nicht passierbar. Außen rum über die Hauptstraße anfahren. Den Einstieg mussten wir etwas suchen. Vom Parkplatz der Straße weiter folgen und hinter einem Haus den etwas versteckten Pfad runter zum Canyon folgen. Nicht vom Parkplatz über die Brücke gehen!
On the approach from Bellinzona, the navigation device always sends us through the village with extremely narrow passages. Not passable for larger vehicles. Drive around the outside via the main road. We had to search a bit for the entry. Follow the road from the parking lot and follow the somewhat hidden path down to the canyon behind a house. Do not cross the bridge from the parking lot!
