1. Möglichkeit mit Überstellungsfahrzeug: Von Salzburg Süd fährt man Richtung Berchtesgaden. Nach der Ortschaft Marktschellenberg kommt eine lange Gerade. Am Ende der Gerade führt eine Abzweigung über eine kleine Brücke (Königseeache) zur Kugelmühle/Almbach wo man das Überstellungsfahrzeug parkt. Mit dem 2. PKW fährt man zurück in die Ortschaft Marktschellenberg. Bei der Kirche (Kreuzung) biegt man li ab und folgt weiter der Bergstraße Richtung Ettenberg. 50m nach dem großen Wanderparkplatz (Neuhäusel) biegt man re ab. Hier hat Mann re bei 2 Holzhütten ein paar Parkmöglichkeiten (Sonst großen Parkplatz). 2. Möglichkeit: Siehe Ausstieg/Rückweg. (Vom Ausstiegsparkplatz folgt man der Wanderbeschilderung „Ettenberg über Talgrabenweg“. Von hier weiter li hoch bis zur Straße. Dann li zurück zum Einstiegsparkplatz.

1st possibility with shuttle car: From Salzburg Süd drive towards Berchtesgaden. After the village of Marktschellenberg there is a long straight. At the exit of the straight there is a turn-off over a small bridge (Königseeache) to Kugelmühle/Almbach where you can park your shuttle car. Take the 2nd car back to the village of Marktschellenberg. Turn left at the church (crossroads) and continue along the mountain road towards Ettenberg. 50m after the large hiking parking lot (Neuhäusel), turn right. There are 2 wooden huts on the right (otherwise there is a large parking lot). 2nd possibility: See exit/return route. (From the parking exit, follow the hiking signs "Ettenberg via Talgrabenweg". From here continue left up to the road. Then turn left back to the parking entry.

Vom Parkplatz bei den 2 Holzhütten folgt man der Forststraße (Fahrverbotsschild) re über eine kleine Brücke. Direkt nach der Brücke li gehen und neben dem Bach abwärts bis zu einer weiteren Abzweigung mit einer Holzhütte. Hier wieder li gehen und weiter abwärts bis zu einem Wochenendhaus. Hier nicht über das Privatgrundstück gehen sondern vorher schon in den Bach einsteigen (ca. 750m).

From the parking lot at the 2 wooden huts, follow the forest road (no driving sign) right over a small bridge. Immediately after the bridge, turn left and walk downhill next to the stream until you reach another junction with a wooden hut. Turn left again here and continue downhill to a weekend house. Do not cross the private property here but enter the stream beforehand (approx. 750m).

Gleich nach dem Haus kommt die 1. 15m Abseilstelle. Schnell verengt sich die Schlucht. Nach ein paar Schritten folgen die 4 nächsten Abseilstellen die alle direkt in der Wasserführung sind. Bei höherem Wasserstand können die Stufen schnell problematisch werden! Vor allem der Stand nach dem 3. Abseiler (C5) ist li hinter der Felswand ausgesetzt angebracht und sollte nur mittels Seilsicherung erreicht werden. Von hier hat man schon einen schönen Blick in den Almbach. Nach der 4. Abseilstelle (ca. 15m) wird es wieder offener. Es folgt ein ca. 40m Abseiler zum Kettenstand. Die 2 darauf folgenden 40m und 35m Stufen können wahlweise unterteilt werden. Nach der letzten Abseilstelle steht man schon fast am Wanderweg vom Almbach auf ca. 600m.

Immediately after the house comes the 1st 15m abseil. The canyon quickly narrows. After a few steps, the next 4 abseiling points follow, all of which are directly in the water. At higher water levels, the steps can quickly become problematic! The belay after the 3rd rappel (C5) in particular is left exposed behind the rock face and should only be reached using a rope belay. From here you already have a beautiful view of the Almbach. After the 4th abseil (approx. 15m) it becomes more open again. This is followed by an approx. 40m rappel to the chain anchor. The 2 subsequent 40m and 35m steps can be divided as desired. After the last abseil point you are almost at the hiking trail from the Almbach at approx. 600m.

Je nachdem wo man das Auto geparkt hat folgt man entweder den Steig neben der Almbachklamm abwärts bis zum Parkplatz (Überstellungsfahrzeig) bei der Kugelmühle. Oder man folgt dem Steig nur kurz bis zur Wanderbeschilderung „Ettenberg über Talgrabenweg“. Von hier weiter li hoch bis zur Straße. Dann li zurück zum Einstiegsparkplatz. Tipp: Beim Rückweg zur Kugelmühle kommen am Ende der Almbachklamm noch ein paar schöne Gumpen die bei richtigen Wasserstand/ Tiefe zum springen einladen. Vom Wanderweg in der Almbachklamm aus waren Bohrhaken und Stände bis zum Ende der Klamm zu sehen.

Depending on where you parked your car, you can either follow the path next to the Almbachklamm gorge downhill to the parking lot (transfer sign) at the Kugelmühle. Or you can follow the path only briefly to the hiking signs "Ettenberg via Talgrabenweg". From here, continue left up to the road. Then turn left back to the parking entry. Tip: On the way back to the Kugelmühle, there are a few beautiful pools at the exit of the Almbachklamm gorge that invite you to jump when the water is at the right level/depth. From the hiking trail in the Almbachklamm you can see bolts and stands all the way to the exit of the gorge.
