Tour nach Sulzer Wasserfälle. Einstieg selektiv nach der zweiten Brücke auf der orographisch rechten Seite nach unten ins Bachbett. Nach 50m direkt erste Abkletterstelle. Dann mit wenigen Gehstrecken eine Abfolge aus Abseilstellen, Rutschen und Sprüngen. Becken teilweise sehr tief, teilweise zugesandet. Deshalb unbedingt auschecken. Aktuelle Topos folgt. Der Beschreibung von Bavarian Canyoning kann ich mich nicht anschließen. An 2 Abseilstellen waren Einzelhaken, der Rest Kettenstände. An jeder relevanten Stelle gab es Haken. Davon keiner verbogen, allerdings einer verrostet. An 2 Abseilstellen ist eine Seilbahn möglich und ermöglicht richtig coole Abseiler. Seilgeländer beim vorletzten Abseiler zum Kettenstand kann bei Bedarf aufgebaut werden. Wesentlich witziger ist jedoch der Einzelhaken orographisch links, der nach kurzem Abseilen direkt durch den Strahl führt und einen ordentlich duscht. Becken ist auch zum rutschen und S10 tief genug. Daher ab in den Strahl loslassen und spaß haben🤩

Tour to the Sulzer Waterfalls. The entry is selective: after the second bridge, head down into the streambed on the orographic right side. The first downclimb comes immediately after 50 meters. Then, with only a few short walking passages, there’s a sequence of rappelling points, slides, and jumps. The pools have great depth in some places and are silted up in others. Therefore, be sure to check it out. Current topos to follow. I cannot agree with the description by Bavarian Canyoning. There were single anchors at 2 rappelling spots, the rest were chain anchors. There were anchors at every relevant spot. None of them were bent, though one was rusted. At two rappelling points, a rope slide is possible and allows for some really cool rappels. A rope traverse at the penultimate rappel to the chain anchor can be set up if needed. Much more fun, however, is the single hook on the orographic left, which, after a short rappel, leads directly through the waterfall and gives you a proper shower. The pool is also deep enough to slide on and for S10. So let go into the waterfall and have fun🤩

Totholz beim ersten Abseiler noch vorhanden. Standplätze waren alle mit Recht neuen Kettenständen eingerichtet. 3 Stände haben wir repariert, diese waren teilweise lose und einer ausgerissen. Hier neue Lasche und Mutter angebracht. Auf den insgesamt 98 Metern bis zum Ende der Tour, gab es 4 Zwischenstände. Hierbei erreichte keine Abseilstelle 40 Meter. 1. 28 Meter 2. 20 Meter 3. 20 Meter 4. 10 Meter 5. 20 Meter. Entsprechend hätte 1x 60m oder 2x 30m auch gereicht. Auf Grund vorliegender Topo haben wir mit 2x 50 regelrecht rumgeeiert.. aktuelle Topos mit allen Kettenständen und Möglichkeiten folgt. Bewertung wurde etwas angepasst, da insbesondere der exponierte Kettenstand technisch etwas anspruchsvoll ist und der rechte Einzelhaken durch einen Baum nicht nutzbar ist. Wir fanden deshalb für den Canyon und die schwierigste Einzelstelle eine Bewertung von V4 angebracht. Die Aquatik passt. Die Ernsthaftigkeit haben wir auf III angehoben, da 45 Minuten weder Hochwasserschutz noch Notausstieg möglich ist. Bei dem heutigen Sonnenschein war es ein wahnsinnig schöner Canyon mit entsprechend knapp 100 Zuschauern.

Deadwood was still present at the first rappel point. All belay stations had been properly equipped with new chain anchors. We repaired three stations; some were loose and one had been torn out. We attached new plates and nuts here. Over the total 98 meters to the exit of the route, there were 4 intermediate belay stations. None of the abseil points reached 40 meters. 1. 28 meters 2. 20 meters 3. 20 meters 4. 10 meters 5. 20 meters. Accordingly, 1x 60m or 2x 30m would have been sufficient. Based on the available topographic view, we really fumbled around with 2x 50m... updated topographic views with all chain anchors and options will follow. The rating has been adjusted slightly, as the exposed chain anchor in particular is technically somewhat challenging and the right single hook cannot be used due to a tree. We therefore found a rating of V4 appropriate for the canyon and the most difficult single section. The aquatic section is fine. We’ve raised the severity rating to III, as there’s no flood protection or emergency exit for 45 minutes. With today’s sunshine, it was an incredibly beautiful canyon with nearly 100 spectators.

Da andere Bäche in BGL zu voll waren, sind wir zur Taxaklamm (Danke @JoeyCIA für die Wasserstandsinfo). Relativ kurze Klamm durch die man auch mit mehrfachem Springen auf ca. 1,5h durch ist. Stände sind allesamt mit Kettenständen ausgestattet. Fixseil nur in Stahlseilausführung. Durch viel Metall super eingesichert. Sprünge und Rutschen waren alle machbar. 1-2 Becken aber teilweise nur 2m tief. Schöner als erwartet, darum durch den minimalistisch kurzen Zustieg direkt noch ne zweite Runde gedreht😁

Since other streams in BGL were too full, we headed to Taxaklamm (thanks @JoeyCIA for the water level info). It’s a relatively short gorge that you can get through in about 1.5 hours, even with multiple jumps. All the belay stations are equipped with chain anchors. Fixed ropes are all made of steel cable. Super secure thanks to all the metal. All the jumps and slides were doable. 1–2 pools, though some were only 2 m deep. Better than expected, so we went straight for a second run thanks to the minimal, short access😁

Weil's so schön war gleich nochmal ne Runde in der Kobelache. Alles soweit unverändert wie in den vorherigen Begehungen. Achtung beim Kochtopf, Wasserstand wird fortlaufend niedriger.

Because it was so nice, another round in the Kobelache. Everything as unchanged as in the previous ascents. Watch out with the cooking pot, the water level is getting lower and lower.

Überraschend ist der untere Teil absolut griffig. Aktuell sogar griffiger als die Kobelache! Ohne die ansonsten sehr glatten Stellen ein super Abstieg. Der Sprung ist weiterhin nicht machbar. Max. 1,50m tief mit Kies. Die Baumverklausung ist vollständig weg, sodass hier wieder einfach abgegangen oder abgerutscht werden kann. Durch neue Verlockung hat sich beim C10 vor dem C18 das Fixseil weggerissen, sodass hier abgeklettert werden muss. Da es aktuell griffig ist war das kein Problem. Allerdings muss hier bei Glätte wieder ein Seilgeländer installiert werden. Der C18 ist etwas schwieriger zu erreichen auf Grund neuer Verklausung. Die Rutsche ist aktuell ebenso zugekiest. Ansonsten aktuell ein sehr schöner Bach!

Surprisingly, the lower part is absolutely grippy. Currently even grippier than the Kobelache! A superiore descent without the otherwise very slippery sections. The jump is still not feasible. Max. 1.50m depth with gravel. The tree blockage is completely gone, so that you can simply walk or slide down here again. Due to a new temptation, the fixed ropes on the C10 before the C18 have torn away, so that you have to downclimb here. As it currently has good grip, this was not a problem. However, a rope traverse must be installed here again in icy conditions. The C18 is somewhat more difficult to reach due to new blockages. The slide is also currently covered in gravel. Otherwise a very nice stream at the moment!

Heute zu viert beide Teile begangen. Totes Reh liegt und duftet aktuell noch.. oberer Teil wie gestriger Eintrag alles Spring und Rutschbar. Im unteren Teil der S8 wieder machbar, allerdings mit Bodenkontakt. Vorsicht! Der S3 im Anschluss nach dem Abseiler nicht machbar. Wassertiefe ca. 1,70m! Unterer Teil mehr als üblich glatt. Sprünge sind machbar. An der Schlussrutsche wäre der Sprung zwar machbar, aber der Weg dorthin wegen Glätte nicht erreichbar. Rutsche würde gehen. Leichte Veränderung wieder im Bereich C20 (vorletzter Abseiler) im Vergleich zum letzten Jahr. Der Fels arbeitet noch.

Four of us walked both parts today. Dead deer is still lying and smelling... upper part as yesterday's entry all jump and slideable. In the lower part of the S8 doable again, but with ground contact. Caution! The S3 in the connection after the rappel is not feasible. Water depth approx. 1.70m! Lower part more slippery than usual. Jumps are doable. The jump at the final slide would be feasible, but the path to it is not accessible due to slippery conditions. Slide would be possible. Slight change again in the C20 area (penultimate rappel) compared to last year. The rock is still working.

Im oberen Abschnitt liegt eine tote Gams bei der bereits die Verwesung eingesetzt hat. Entsprechend riecht es teilweise sehr streng. Ansonsten sind die Sprünge und Rutschen alle frei und machbar mit Ausnahme vom Mayer-Loch. Hier liegt noch der Baumstamm.

In the upper parts there is a dead chamois that has already started to decompose. Accordingly, it smells very strong in places. Otherwise, the jumps and slides are all free and doable, with the exception of the Mayer hole. The tree trunk still lies here.

Heute bei 3m³ in Merlins World (2,5m³ in der Enz) eingestiegen. Ersten beiden Abseiler ohne Probleme. Der C12 traumhaft bei dem Wasserstand in der Sonne! Schlitz war unmöglich und musste über Stahlseil umgangen werden. Der S4 ist machbar. Den Kochtopf umgangen, nur Weißwasser und hochaktiver Siphon. Die Bobbahn nicht machbar bei dem Wasserstand. Der S5 ohne Probleme und ohne Bodenkontakt. Der S6 vorm Ende Merlins World ist wieder frei ohne Bodenkontakt. Alles in allem eine sehr knackige, aber wunderschöne Tour bei dem Pegel!

Climbed into Merlins World today at 3m³ (2.5m³ in the Enz). First two rappels without problems. The C12 was fantastic with the water level in the sun! The second slot was impossible and had to be bypassed with a steel cable. The S4 is doable. Bypassed the Kochtopf, only white water and a highly active siphon. The bob run not feasible with the water level. The S5 without problems and without ground contact. The S6 before the exit of Merlins World is free again without ground contact. All in all, a very tough but wonderful tour at this water level!

Aufgrund schönem Wetter, die Schlucht nochmals begannen & es war ein sehr schöner canyon mit viel Rutschen und abkletterpassagen. Allerdings ist das metallteil in dem unteren Abschnitt immer noch vorhanden. Ansonsten super empfehlenswert 👍🏼😊

Due to nice weather, started the canyon again & it was a very nice canyon with lots of slides and downclimbs. However, the metal part is still there in the lower part. Otherwise superiore recommendable 👍🏼😊

Wegen dem schönen Wetter heute den Wappbach nochmal begangen. Als eher wenig bekannter Canyon viel schöner als erwartet. Der obere C15 mit Klebeanker und Spreizanker + Bandschlingen abgesichert, der untere mit Kettenstand abgesichert, der Rest mit Innox Einzelanker, allerdings in teils weniger guter Qualität. Insgesamt sind 3 neue Klebeanker angebracht. Diese sind qualitativ sehr gut. Im unteren Teil 2-3 Abkletterpassagen, die durchaus einen weiteren Anker vertragen würden, wenn auch nur 3-4m. Metallteil in der Rutsche noch vorhanden. Lässt sich auch mit Kraftaufwand leider nicht bergen. Ansonsten die übrigen Anker soweit i.O. und alle vorhanden.

Hiked the Wappbach again today because of the nice weather. A little-known canyon, much more beautiful than expected. The upper C15 secured with adhesive anchor and spreader anchor + slings, the lower one secured with chain anchor, the rest with Innox single anchor, but partly in less good quality. A total of 3 new adhesive anchors have been installed. These are of very good quality. In the lower part there are 2-3 downclimbs that could do with another anchor, even if only 3-4m. Metal part still present in the slide. Unfortunately, it cannot be retrieved even with effort. Otherwise, the remaining anchors are OK and all present.

Heute fast schon als Winter Canyoning begangen. Am Einstieg ca. 20cm Neuschnee. Dafür der Wasserstand im Bach eher normal bis wenig. Die ersten Abseiler mit Klebehaken eingerichtet. Am ersten C15 wäre ein richtiger Kettenstand super. Der zweite hat einen. Je weiter man den Bach absteigt, desto schlechter wird die Qualität der Haken. Vereinzelt 2-3 Klebehaken. Neue Haken waren teilweise sehr locker. Haben 4 Haken mit nem 17er Schlüssel ordentlich verankert. 1 Haken haben wir ausgetauscht. 1 neu gesetzt, dieser war komplett verrostet und kein Innox Anker. Dafür hängt nun ein nagelneuer Innox Anker mit Innox Maillon. Ansonsten ein echt wunderschöner Canyon, der eigentlich keine schlechte Bewertung verdient hat. Super Abseiler, vor allem für Anfänger zum üben geeignet, vor allem mit 15 Stück und einer Vielzahl <5m. Ich schließe mich Christians Eintrag an, wir hatten 1 x20m und 1x40m + Notseil 50m dabei. Hat überall ausgereicht. Thema Notausstiege: In beiden engen Teilen der Schlucht sind weder links noch rechts Notausstiege möglich. Diese teilweise erst 3-4 Abseiler später und eher mittelschwer orographisch links möglich. Nach dem zweiten C15 nochmal ein sehr leichter Notausstieg orographisch links möglich. Ansonsten jederzeit vor der Brücke. Wir haben die Tour in 4 Stunden insgesamt abgeschlossen. Entsprechend wurde Bewertung, Dauer, GPS Informationen und Beschreibung würde aktualisiert. Topo folgt.

Almost winter canyoning today. About 20cm of fresh snow at the entry. But the water level in the stream was normal to low. The first rappels were set up with glued anchors. At the first C15 a proper chain anchor would be superiore. The second has one. The further you descend the stream, the poorer the quality of the anchors. Occasionally 2-3 glued anchors. Some of the new anchors were very loose. We anchored 4 anchors properly with a 17 mm wrench. We replaced 1 anchor. 1 new one, which was completely rusted and not an Innox anchor. Instead, there is now a brand new Innox anchor with Innox maillon. Otherwise a really beautiful canyon that doesn't really deserve a bad rating. Super rappel, especially suitable for beginners to practice, especially with 15 pieces and a variety <5m. I agree with Christian's entry, we had 1 x20m and 1x40m + emergency rope 50m with us. It was enough everywhere. Topic emergency exits: There are no emergency exits left or right in either narrow part of the canyon. Some of these are only possible 3-4 rappels later and rather moderately difficult orographically on the left. After the second C15, another very easy emergency exit is possible orographically to the left. Otherwise at any time before the bridge. We completed the tour in a total of 4 hours. The rating, duration, GPS information and description have been updated accordingly. Topographic view follows.

Ist ein sehr schöner canyon zum gehen. Allerdings sind die notausstiege nicht so gut gemacht, weil nicht überall einer ist. Und man sollte ihn vielleicht auch gehen bei schönem Wetter, wir sind ihn heute bei nicht so gutem Wetter gegangen und es war einfach irgendwann kalt. Aber sonst empfehlenswert!

It's a very nice canyon to walk through. However, the emergency exits are not so well done because there isn't one everywhere. And you should probably walk it in good weather, we walked it today in not so good weather and it was just cold at some point. But otherwise recommended!

Da die Kobelache zu viel Wasser hatte, den unteren Mühltobel gemacht. Sprung ist möglich, sowie die Rutsche vor dem Schlussabseiler. Bach wie gewohnt sehr glatt. Anker alle intakt. Wie immer eine schöne Tour.

As the Kobelache had too much water, we did the lower Mühltobel. Jump is possible, as is the slide before the final abseil. Stream very smooth as usual. Anchors all intact. As always a nice tour.

Heute bei eher regnerischem Wetter begangen. Dennoch nur 0,3m³ in der Enz. Wie schon am Wochenende alle Haken top und die Fixseile überwiegend gut in Schuss. Manche müssen demnächst ausgewechselt werden, aber noch nicht bis zum Kern durch. Vom oberen in den Unteren Abschnitt den Weg über die Amannsbrücke genommen und dort aus'm Fenster den C25 gemacht. Sprünge und Rutschen im oberen und unteren Teil alle möglich.

Went today in rather rainy weather. Nevertheless, only 0.3m³ in the Enz. As at the weekend, all anchors were in top condition and the fixed ropes mostly in good shape. Some will have to be replaced soon, but not yet through to the core. From the upper to the lower parts we took the way over the Amannsbrücke and did the C25 out of the window. Jumps and slides in the upper and lower sections are all possible.

Schöner Abseilcanyon mit einigen Abseilstellen. Wasserstand war relativ niedrig. Abseilstellen durch den Wasserstrahl waren daher auch sehr angenehm erfrischend. Stände soweit i.O.

Beautiful rappel canyon with several abseils. The water level was relatively low. Abseils through the water jet were therefore also very pleasantly refreshing. Stands so far ok.

Oberen Teil bis zum zweiten Notausstieg als Nachtcanyoning begangen. Absolut mega Schlucht, vor allem Nachts bei farbiger Beleuchtung!

The upper part up to the second emergency exit can be climbed as night canyoning. Absolutely mega canyon, especially at night with colored lighting!

Nach dem Müselbach (Jungles Ende) noch in die untere Koblach eingestiegen. Stände und fixseile waren i.O. die Pools schön ausgespült und nicht zugesandet. Ein Fixseil beim vorletzten Abseiler ist schon gut angescheuert und sollte demnächst wohl getauscht werden.

After the Müselbach (Jungle's exit), we entered the lower Koblach. Stands and fixed ropes were ok, the pools were nicely rinsed and not sanded up. A fixed rope at the penultimate rappel is already well chafed and should probably be replaced soon.

Im Anschluss an den Müselbach kurz vor Ende des oberen Teils eingestiegen. Alle Haken Top, Fixseile ebenfalls fast alle Top in Schuss. Sehr griffig.

Joined the Müselbach shortly before the exit of the upper part. All anchors top, fixed ropes also almost all in top condition. Very good grip.

Alle Stände in Ordnung. Kurz vor dem Einstieg hat es einen Bergrutsch gegeben der am Ende des langen Abseilers die Schlucht getroffen hat, aber keine Probleme verursacht.Ein Fixseil ist etwas angeschaut, sonst alles in Ordnung. Stellenweise sehr rutschig.

All stands in order. Shortly before the entry there was a landslide that hit the canyon at the exit of the long rappel, but did not cause any problems. one fixed rope is a bit worn, otherwise everything is fine. Very slippery in places.

Begehung bei 0,3m² Wasserstand (Enz). Zustiegs- und Rückweg Beschreibung war in Ordnung, allerdings Topo und Tourbeschreibung eher veraltet. Neue Topo folgt. Ansonsten sehr schöne Schlucht, die tatsächlich ansprechender war als erwartet. Alle Stände waren sehr gut erreichbar. Achtung beim letzten Abseiler C60. Hier muss bereits auf dem 10m erhöhten Vorsprung abgeseilt werden, da unten an der Kante kein weiterer Stand eingebohrt ist.

Inspection at 0.3m² water level (Enz). Access and return route description was fine, but topographic view and route description rather outdated. New topographic view will follow. Otherwise very beautiful canyon, which was actually more appealing than expected. All stands were very easy to reach. Attention at the last rappel C60. Here you already have to rappel on the 10m raised ledge, as there is no further belay at the bottom of the edge.

Stände waren soweit in Ordnung und gut erreichbar. Gesamter oberer Abschnitt war extrem rutschig.

Begehung bei sehr niedrigen Wasserstand. Abseilen war überwiegend trocken, da die Wasserfälle eher tröpfelten statt flossen. Sprünge sind größtenteils gut möglich. In Abschnitt zwei, der den Aufstiegsweg kreuzt war minimaler Bodenkontakt beim Sprung. Dennoch gut begehbar. Verankerungen waren gut erreichbar und intakt.

Ascent at very low water level. Rappels were mostly dry, as the waterfalls dripped rather than flowed. Jumps are mostly possible. In part two, which crosses the ascent route, there was minimal ground contact when jumping. Still easy to walk on. Anchors were easily accessible and intact.

Stark kommerzielle Schlucht, allerdings dafür die Stände absolut Top. Allesamt gut erreichbar und in sehr gutem Zustand.

Heavily commercial canyons, but the beaches are absolutely top. All easily accessible and in very good condition.
