Von Tolmezzo fährt man auf der SS52 Bundesstraße Richtung Carnia --> nach einer langen Geraden kommt eine Autobahnbrücke --> vor der Brücke li. in die kleine Seitenstraße abbiegen --> hier li. der Straße entlang --> unter der Brücke hindurch bis zur nächsten Brücke die man überquert (Ausgang Torrente Favarinis) --> gleich re. parken (Schotterparkplatz) ca. 260Hm.

From Tolmezzo take the SS52 main road towards Carnia --> after a long straight stretch you come to a highway bridge --> before the bridge turn left into the small side road --> here turn left along the road --> go under the bridge to the next bridge which you cross (exit Torrente Favarinis) --> park immediately on the right (gravel parking place) approx. 260m.

Vom Parkplatz aus dem Wanderweg (415) rechts für ca. 25min steil hochgehen bis zu einer Ruine mit Holzbank auf ca. 480m (siehe Karte). Den Wanderweg noch ganz kurz weiter folgend bis zum Baum mit einer blauen und roten Markierung (links). Hier verlässt man den Hauptweg und folgt für weitere 15min den markierten Pfad links (wird zunehmend steiler) bis zum Einstieg auf ca. 370m.

From the parking lot, take the hiking trail (415) on the right for approx. 25 minutes up a steep incline to a ruin with a wooden bench at approx. 480m (see map). Follow the hiking trail for a very short time until you reach a tree with blue and red markings (left). Here you leave the main path and follow the marked path on the left for another 15 minutes (becomes increasingly steeper) to the entry at approx. 370m.

Im Bachbett angekommen geht es gleich los mit der erste Abseilstelle C16 (re/li) (Kettenstand) in untiefen Gumpen --> Sprung oder Rutsche in tiefen Gumpen --> kurze Gehstrecke --> C28 (re.) (Kettenstand) oder li. umgehen, Stand mit Schlinge (Seil wird jedoch benötigt) --> Schlucht wird etwas enger --> kurze Geh-, Abkletter- oder Sprungpassage in schmalen Schluchtabschnitt (sehr schön) --> nach dem großen Felsblock in der Mitten der Schlucht und der 5 aneinander gereihten Steine, macht die Schlucht eine Rechtsbiegung --> gerade aus und über eine kurze Kletterstelle zur nächsten 15m Stufe (diese kann man auch gut links abklettern) --> Gehen und Klettern --> schmaler Schluchtabschnitt bis zur einer eingeschnittenen Abseilstelle 16m Kettenstand re/li (li Pendelgefahr!) --> Schlucht öffnet sich und macht eine Kurve nach rechts zu einer wunderschönen Abseilstelle (Kettenstand links hinter dem Felsen), von rechts oben kann man ein Seilgeländer zum ausgesetzten Kettenstand aufbauen, dann C25 in tiefen Gumpen Alternativ R30 rechts oben. Sprungmöglichkeiten 6m, 10m und 12m (für die beiden höheren kann man etwas bachabwärts nach recht über ein Fixseil raufklettern) --> kurze Geh- und Kletterpassage --> kurze Schwimmstrecke vor dem 50m Finalwasserfall (!!! scharfe Kante)der in einem großen aber seichten Gumpen endet (hier besteht die Möglichkeit vorher den Notausstieg links zu nehmen) 50m Seil sind zu wenig, besser 2x60m --> den Schluchtenausgang kann man ohne Problemen abklettern --> letzter Sprung 1m in Badegumpen.

Once in the streambed, you immediately start with the first abseiling point C16 (right/left) (chain anchor) in shallow pools --> jump or slide in deep pools --> short walking passages --> C28 (right) (chain anchor) or left (rope is required) --> bypass after the large rock block --> gorge becomes a little narrower --> short walking or abseiling passage in a narrow section of the gorge (very beautiful) --> after a large rock block --> bypass with a sling (rope is required, however). bypass, stand with sling (rope is required) --> canyon becomes somewhat narrower --> short walk, downclimb or jump passage in narrow canyon section (very beautiful) --> after the large boulder in the middle of the canyon and the 5 canyons in a row, the canyon turns right --> straight ahead and over a short downclimb to the next 15m step (this can also be downclimbed on the left) --> walk and climb --> narrow canyon section to an incised downclimb 16m chain anchor right/left (danger of swinging!) --> canyon opens and makes a bend to the right to a beautiful abseil (chain anchor left behind the rock), from the top right you can set up a rope traverse to the exposed chain anchor, then C25 in deep pools alternatively R30 top right. Possible jumps 6m, 10m and 12m (for the two higher ones you can climb up a little downstream to the right via a fixed rope) --> short walking and downclimbing passage --> short swimming section before the 50m final waterfall (!!! sharp edge)which exits in a large but shallow pool (here you can take the emergency exit on the left beforehand) 50m ropes are not enough, better 2x60m --> you can downclimb the gorge exit without any problems --> last jump 1m into a swimming pool.

Man folgt das meist trockene Bachbett ca. 50m um dann vor der Brücke li. auszusteigen --> den kleinen Pfad bis zum Parkplatz folgen.

Follow the mostly dry streambed for about 50m and then get off to the left before the bridge --> follow the small path to the parking lot.
