6km NW von Grenoble, am Fuße des Vercors Massives, am linken Ufer der Isere, dort wo der Drac in die Isere mündet, findet man einen Vorort Grenobles mit dem Namen Sassenage. Leicht zu erreichen über die Bundesstraße D1532 (Av. de Valence). In Sassenage selbst nehmen wir beim Kreisverkehr mit dem schönen Wasserfallmonument die Ausfahrt auf die D531 (Route de Villard de Lans) Richtung Westen. Die Straße biegt bei einem weiteren Kreisverkehr nach Norden und zieht dann in 5 Serpentinen aufwärts. Ab dem Kreisverkehr sind es ca. 12 km, bis wir den Parkplatz zur Linken erreichen.
6km NW of Grenoble, at the foot of the Vercors massif, on the left bank of the Isere, where the Drac flows into the Isere, there is a suburb of Grenoble called Sassenage. It is easy to reach via the D1532 (Av. de Valence). In Sassenage itself, at the traffic circle with the beautiful waterfall monument, take the exit onto the D531 (Route de Villard de Lans) heading west. The road turns north at another traffic circle and then climbs in 5 hairpin bends. From the traffic circle it is about 12 km until we reach the parking lot on the left.

Der Einstieg kann hier mit Sprung erfolgen (9 m), kann aber auch abgeseilt werden. Es folgen Sprünge, Rutschen und einige kleinere Abseiler. Insgesamt sehr schöne Auswaschungen, tolle Schluchten-Atmosphäre aber sehr kurz. Dadurch jedoch absolut familientauglich. Die ersten beiden Stufen in der Enge können am Hang links umgangen werden. Auch sind genug Haken und Anker vorhanden, um etwas Seiltechnik, Bergetechniken und Seilbahnbau zu üben. Der untere Teil des Furons ist übrigens ebenfalls zu begehen., siehe Furon aval. Zwischen oberem und unteren Teil ist die Begehung untersagt.
Entry here can be made by jumping (9 m), but can also be rappelled. This is followed by jumps, slides and some smaller rappels. Overall very beautiful washouts, great canyon atmosphere but very short. However, this makes it absolutely suitable for families. The first two steps in the narrows can be bypassed on the slope to the left. There are also enough anchors and bolts to practise some rope techniques, rescue techniques and ropeway construction. The lower part of the Furon can also be climbed, see Furon aval. Climbing is prohibited between the upper and lower sections.
