Von Füssen kommend auf der Umgehungsstraße an Reutte vorbei, auf der südlichen Abfahrt Reutte herunterfahren und nach links unter der Straße zum Fernpaß durch, der Beschilderung Plansee, Schloß Linderhof, Oberammergau folgend. Nach ca. 2,5 km findet sich rechts der Straße ein unbefestigter Parkplatz für ca. 10 PKWs. Hier das Auto parken. Dies ist auch der Ausgangspunkt der Wanderung zum Zunterkopf. Links der Straße sieht man schon etwas erhöht, durch Buschwerk teilweise verdeckt eine Kapelle am Waldrand. Von München kommend auf der A95 Richtung Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Oberau von der B 2 (Verlängerung der A 95) abbiegen in Richtung Oberammergau. Auf der B 23 durch Ettal und ca. 600 m nach Ortsende links ab auf die St 2060 in Richtung Schloß Linderhof, Plansee, Reutte/Tirol. An Linderhof vorbei gelangt man über den Ammersattel zum Plansee. An diesem und dem folgenden kleinen Plansee entlang überquert die Straße schließlich den Archbach, den Abfluss des Sees. 800 m weiter liegt dann rechterhand die oben erwähnte Kapelle und nach weiteren 50-100m links der Parkplatz.
Coming from Füssen on the bypass road past Reutte, take the southern exit Reutte and turn left under the road to the Fernpaß, following the signs to Plansee, Linderhof Castle, Oberammergau. After approx. 2.5 km there is an unpaved parking lot for approx. 10 cars to the right of the road. Park your car here. This is also the starting point for the hike to the Zunterkopf. To the left of the road, you will see a chapel at the edge of the forest, slightly elevated and partially obscured by bushes. Coming from Munich on the A95 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen, turn off the B 2 (extension of the A 95) in Oberau towards Oberammergau. Take the B 23 through Ettal and approx. 600 m after the end of the village turn left onto the St 2060 in the direction of Linderhof Castle, Plansee, Reutte/Tyrol. Pass Linderhof and continue over the Ammersattel to Plansee. Vom Parkplatz geht es zuerst zur Kapelle. Westlich (links von) der Kapelle führt ein Trampelpfad (Steig) in den Wald und hinunter in Richtung Archbach. From the parking lot, head first to the chapel. To the west (left of) the chapel, a path leads into the forest and down towards Archbach. After approx. 100 m, you come to the hiking trail coming from Reutte in the direction of Plansee. Follow this (to the right) to gain an insight into the open canyon and see the upper abseiling point above the large pool. A little further on, you come to a dam and enter the Archbach stream below (at 950 m).

Bei einem Gesamtzeitaufwand von 2-2,5 Std. (bei 2 Pers.) handelt es sich um eine Halbtagestour. Für Fotos günstig ist ein Einstieg am frühen Nachmittag, da dann die Sonne (so vorhanden) auf die Wasserfälle scheint. Mutige können im Verlauf der 2. Abseilstrecke von einem Sims (nach Querung) einen hohen Sprung (ca. 15m) wagen. Hier auch Umsteiger eingerichtet. Wie der Name Stuibenfälle besagt, handelt es sich um 2 Wasserfälle (ca. 25 m und 40 m), ein paar Sprunggumpen und eine ebene Laufstrecke der bequemen Art. Der Bach kann auch weiter abwärts gegangen werden bis zum E-Werk. Dazu nimmt man den Weg am linken Ufer. Wo er ansteigt, rechts in den Bach. Es folgt eine Engstelle mit ein paar Sprunggumpen.
With a total duration of 2-2.5 hours (for 2 people), this is a half-day tour. For photos, an entry in the early afternoon is favorable, as then the sun (if available) shines on the waterfalls. The brave can dare a high jump (approx. 15m) from a ledge (after crossing) during the 2nd rappelling route. There are also transfer facilities here. As the name Stuiben Falls suggests, there are 2 waterfalls (approx. 25 m and 40 m), a few jumping pools and a flat, easy walk. The stream can also be walked further down to the E-Werk. To do this, take the path on the left bank. Where it rises, turn right into the stream. This is followed by a narrow section with a couple of jumping pools.

Ca. 100m bachabwärts nach dem großen Stuibenfall (auf 830m Höhe) zieht linkerhand ein kleiner Steig aus dem Bachbett hoch und stößt nach wenigen Metern auf den Wanderweg, dem wir - weiter oben - schon auf dem Anmarsch zum Einstieg gefolgt sind. Bei einigen Verzweigungen links haltend gewinnt man beim Aufstieg immer wieder Rückblicke in die Schlucht. Nach Erreichen der Ausgangshöhe, wo der Weg dann eben verläuft, biegen wir wieder auf den Pfad zur Kapelle ab und sind in wenigen Minuten am Parkplatz.
Falls wir bis auf Höhe des E-Werks absteigen, dort links über den Steg und weiter zum Parkplat Ausstieg.
Approx. 100m downstream after the large Stuibenfall (at 830m altitude), a small path leads up from the streambed on the left and after a few meters joins the hiking trail that we followed - further up - on the approach to the entry. Keeping to the left at a few forks, you will repeatedly gain views back into the canyon ascent.
