Wir haben nur das Finale gemacht. Etwas kraxeliger Zustieg über das Geröllfeld. Kaltes Wasser. Der Canyon ist eine Wucht!
We only did the final section. The access across the boulder field was a bit of a scramble. Cold water. The canyon is amazing!

Alles okay. Sehr kurzer Canyon; Die Rutsche ist ganz nett. Zum Ende hin eng eingeschnitten, beeindruckte Schlucht.
Everything's fine. Very short canyon; the slide is pretty nice. The canyon narrows toward the exit—it's an impressive canyon.

Alles in Ordnung. Sehr senkrecht. Die hohen Abseilstellen sind immer unterteilbar.
Everything's fine. Very vertical. The high rappelling sections can always be broken down into smaller sections.

The last section of the road leading up to the entry is no longer passable. Otherwise, everything in the canyon is great!

Sehr langer Canyon. Daher eher V4. Unsere Zeit zu zweit. Gehzeit bis Einstieg 1:30 Std. Canyon 6:15 Std. Rückweg: ca. 1:50 Std.
A very long canyon. If you want to practice abseiling against the clock, this is the right canyon. However, some abseil points are only accessible via rope traverses and are exposed. Therefore, it’s more like a V4. Our time together. Hiking time to entry: 1:30 hrs. Canyon: 6:15 hrs. Return trip: approx. 1:50 hrs.

A highlight in the region. Toward the exit, past the parking lot, there are three more great spots for rappelling.

We only hiked the lower section. Officially, cars aren’t allowed to drive all the way to the exit. It’s also a bumpy gravel road. In the canyon, there are only single hooks in some places. The last rappelling spot is very difficult to reach through the brush. I didn’t get the impression that the canyon is visited often. It should be noted here that Theda only gave it half a star! Collector’s item – Schlotzrinne

We parked right next to the bridge. The owner of the business property said it was okay there, since larger vehicles often have to turn around in his parking lot. The canyon is a challenge. You’ll get pretty wet, and there are a few bypasses to set up. Most of the time, though, it looks wilder from above than it actually is.

The canyon was extremely crowded today. You quickly find yourself stuck among the commercial groups, which makes the whole experience very uncomfortable. A crowded canyon.

Also vorsichtig sein.
We combined the lower section with the other upper section on the same day. You do have to move the car, though, so you can’t do the whole thing in one go. The first part is more of a river walk with lots of downclimbs, and I’d already figured the canyon was more of a collector’s item. Toward the exit, though, it gets better, and there are a few nice rappelling spots right in a row. There’s even a jump spot where a few climbing ropes are strung up. The pool was very shallow when we were there, though, so be careful.

Der letzte Teil der Straße ist Schotterpiste. Netter kleiner Canyon.
The last part of the road is a gravel track. A nice little canyon. You’re back at the car in no time. We practiced setting up a rope bridge, which can also be put to good use here.

Stark kommerziell begangener Canyon. Zwingend zweites Auto notwendig.
A heavily commercialized canyon. A second car is absolutely necessary. There’s a separate canyoning parking lot at the entry with plenty of space. The access trail is even signposted, and a topographic view is posted at the parking lot. There’s a longer hike in between the first rappelling spots, but it’s enjoyable since there’s a well-trodden trail alongside the stream. It looks as though the canyon exits behind an abseil point, from which you can get back to the road. Apparently, the canyon continues a bit further. We probably exited here too early and walked down the road.

Stark kommerziell begangener Canyon.
A very popular canyon for commercial tours. We jumped to the first rappelling spot right by the bridge. After the second rappelling spot, there’s a longer river walk. Then things get exciting again. The exit and the way back are very well marked. A beautiful hike back.
