It's exceptional to have no snowfields. But the absence of snow did not reveal anything, in fact the canyon loses 1/2 star. It is still a worthwhile trip, among the best in these valleys, with splashy abseils, compact rock and an encased part. Finally, today i equalized the anchor on fractured rock but in fact they should be relocated. Since last time i was here i notice 3 new anchors and one quicklink (non-stainless). On the to do list here: add the redundant anchors which will make some abseils more comfortable, double a series of quicklinks and replace non-stainless steel quicklinks.

After the heavy rain the canyon was in normal condition & full in the sunshine. Snowy mountains in the front & back. Without the beauty of the Karwendel the canyon would be rather secundary, nothing technical. Interesting though as introductory tour to the region or the aspect of Abalakovs (style in which the canyon was opened). Added quicklinks, only 1 is missing (near the end).

Beautiful deep limestone canyon. With great views from the trail. Not hiking up would be a shame really, it's such a nice trip. Continued into the inferiore which is worthwhile (and logic, but there is also the trail next to it if u need/wish...). Morning sun obliges both for the access and orientation of the canyon. Wildlife.

Worthwhile continuation of the upper Orsa. A few non-complicated abseils it's fastly done. Anchors are mostly glue-ins in the lower part. (Too many) exposed fixed ropes, guides should take them out at the end of season.

The scenery and location are insane and add a star. The beautiful pools after the source comes in, at this altitude, another star. Second team today, started approach after midday & back by 17:00. As Roland mentions the canyon is re-equipped, but semi-amateuristically (washers placed behind the anchors systematically, mix of metals, cracked rock, a few pictures for reference). Some old hooks are now obsolete, climbers must have come here long time ago. In the lower part a mini via ferrata allows to varry in the descent.

Worthwhile addition (one truly memorable abseil) but a bit discontinuous and at present not so well equipped or well positioned (8mm mono, mix of metal, bits of chain). Warning. One stand is from a hollow rock (on the left), which is about to let go!! More upgrades would be welcome as the upper Tovanella will attract more people. Cold with no sunlight in Octobre. Quite slippery. For the first obstacle we chose to go down from a tree. Continued into the inferiore.

Good combo. In total it makes sense to go up. Only 30' needed for the lower part. No issues here. For the upper part, see separate description.

Progetto Procanyon anchors & never used. For a canyon that flows freely and has no dam on top it is unfortunate nobody ever goes. The approach and above all, the exit is very overgrown. Updated the file after today's descent.

Due to the presence of multiple highly unpredictable dams + glaciers upstream, a descent is unfortunately recommended against. Piantonetto especially is known for its automatic releases and the dam operator gives 0 guarantee.

Waymarked approach, choice of upper + lower part. Extremely slippery and rather secondary. On top of the highest drop there is a fallen tree hindering, it looks like it can be removed easily. We were already on the rope, so could not do much here. Moreover a handline here would be welcome, as it is very slippery and potentially dangerous. Exited after.

Currently the canyon is in high flow / overflowing. According to locals probably the water outtake is now open. We plan to find out tomorrow. There is a webcam in Noasca allowing to check the flow. Will share the link. In any case, the hydraulic systems in this valley are nervewrecking and should be carefully evaluated.

Today's improvements: new m10 inox anchors added, mix of metals removed, quicklinks added, abalakovs with rope we found, also removed 1 anchor on hollow, fractured rock and closed multiple quicklinks. All the other anchors are mainly unfortunately steel, as well as in Claretto. Recommendations include: old ropes + old canyon descenders + gloves (for the dusty abseils, in between the higher aquatic ones). Done in integral with Romeo who, with an ice axe, improved the trail for the 10' approach. Thanks to CanyonZone for the new anchors.

The inferiore was better equipped and needed less attention, but many anchors are on steel bolts. In a foreseeable future these will have to be changed. It was nice to be back with Romeo. Having done a few possible combos (also Claretto + Marderello in 1 day) i'd recommend Claretto as grand finale on day 2.

Third time here with Romeo. Did an effort to clean up, mostly the mix of metals (hard to do when the bolts are non-stainless...), ropes etc. Many anchors though, given their levels of rust, tell me they have a good/relatively durable location. Can be descended as such, but a complete rebolting (with 14-17mm glue-ins?) would be great to do

Sequence of the last waterfall is more like 16-75-65. 80m rope is needed. Make sure to choose the right anchors (dont use the old canyoning in the Hautes Alpes description). Some anchors are now obsolete, others have completely withered away (non-stainless).

A true little glacier gem. Spectacular views and an entertaining itinerary. Top mono-points by the first team. Cannot say the same for the less than ideal two half-drilled 8mm's. Added 1 anchor (well protected) above a stuck boulder (removed the fixed ropes). Didnt find anything in the last waterfalls. Ended up using the old ropes and two bolts to open these. (30m max) Good to do with extra time, instead of the classic exit after the hydro system. Next team could add more bolts for the last waterfalls and to reinforce the 8mm's in the canyon. Not too slippery, actually great conditions unlike many summers ago when we had to bail due to incoming rain.

Shame it is still not bolted for recreational fun, rather to avoid the fun or escape. A lot of quicklinks are missing, so a series of obstacles are unfortunately bypassed. In the narrows the water becomes pushy. Caution with the dam, after 31/8 automatic flushings could officially also happen during the day. Traces are clearly visible, quicksand up to half a meter deep.

Give or take 10 years since my last visit: the stuck boulder passage is no more, i.e. now you can abseil diagonally without obstacle, which makes it easier. Anchors are now glue-ins etc. Water levels & quality was perfect. Some of the best views a canyoneer can get.

Sporty flow and full sunshine. Done before thunderstorm as the dam clearly stipulates the danger. Luckily the canyon is over-equipped as you can easily change between dry and wet line or escape. Different anchors, mostly m10, glue-ins and lots of abalakovs. Unfortunately the first part is rather boring, compared to some more challenging abseils later (watch out with high flow).

Recent rain has re-activated the whole, though the water movements and strong waterfalls are manageable with the right amount of experience. The geyser passes easily, though in the pool below are many rocks, meaning you want to go down easy and set the rope length just right. Cold as usual and little sun entering.

Sporty waterlevel and full sunshine in the afternoon, great sequence of waterfalls. Some elevation is lost though, before the first obstacle, and again at the end. Otherwise really nice. Scenic long approach. A more direct version from the village should exist but seems in disuse. The short but interesting canyoning part did deliver a few splashy abseils in a cold, dark, almost austere atmosphere. Anchoring is so so, overall it needs a review, as a minimum some extra quicklinks for the anchors with no maillons. We only doubled the first after which we did with what we found.
11.09.2026 Aiguilles (Savoie) Jeroen Kirchner ⭐ ★★★★★ 📖 ★★★ ⚓ ★★★ 💧 Low Completed ✔
Typical torrent de montagne in dark grey rock. Stable weather is a must, the area has a high chance of rockfall and debris. In summer conditions, this descent possibly needs no wetsuit whereas in Spring.... We doubled the first anchor (slightly better protected) and added a lunule (local word for abalakov) left, where a chain (on the right) is no longer reached after the river bed has changed, to help with the downclimb. The other anchors are a mix (mostly doubled, often slightly impacted, also Petzl longlifes and a mix of metals). Updated the file. Good combo to do with Vallon in the morning.

Clear water & afternoon sunlight, very cute. The entrance to the cave is tight and uncomfortable, even unwise to go down with a backpack., could very well be dangerous combined with a high flow. Beautiful arrival in the cave and some fun moments. 4 stars if it wasn't for the return trip.

Don't use the piton-route as described in the report below but follow the descriptions on Opencanyon (i.e. with a few abseils in Ciol Bevador on M10 quality anchors enter the main Nuccí - once in Nuccí traverse RIGHT, without scrambling, to find two M10 anchors = otherwise you would miss two beautiful abseils in the main Nuccí). Having come such a long way, making shortcuts in the main Nuccí makes no sense. Please no additional alpine or caving (M8) anchors to guarantee an overall safety standard.

Finished rebolting. Added slings + quicklinks for the trees, and doubled the higher abseils. Anchors are well protected, sometimes slightly harder to reach, at one occasion one should remain in the rope to reach the next anchor. I copy the sequence hereafter and to the file. Discontinous but rather aquatic granite canyon. A few highlights, but never complicated with a late summer flow. Probably wise not to attempt with too high flow because of its slipperyness and difficult river bed. Anchors are a mix of (aging) m8/10, some chains, some singles. Luckily far less trees than Val di Scala down the valley. Access well maintained, freshly cut. Met some of the locals, they seem passionate about the place.

Currently great conditions. Normal flow 1.70-2,36. Handlines to be installed, one of which involves some 10 carabiners. The river bed and location of some giant boulders have changed noticeably in the last few years. Almost all pools can be jumped, minus one or two.

Doubled one anchor, removed loose and threatening rock on the abseil from the tree... Also noticed newly drilled m8 anchor where there was already a cementary of bolts. There is actually no need for this as 2 meter lower there is a well protected m10 (not visible) which is accessible by the two m10 bolts we have placed. Next time i will probably clean the anchor ruins and add the 2nd bolt below. The abseil from the tree could use a rebelay. A topography of the place would be interesting to have. Great combo with Arzino sup and some 30' walking (best done quickly) in between. Caution in Arzino inf as rocks are hiding below surface.
10.08.2026 Chiantone-Vinadia Jeroen Kirchner ⭐ ★★★★★ 📖 ★★★ ⚓ ★★★ 💧 Low Completed ✔
The eastern branch Vinadia-Chiantione is definitely the more continuous and impressive. Beautiful water colours depending on the light penetrating. The highest part had murky water, but it soon improved. Two dead animals though, one of which in the infamous garbage pool. Anchors are mostly pro-canyon apart from the lower part. Tip: as from 2027 there should be a bar up & running at the exit. Friendly people allowing us to park.
07.08.2026 Torrente Pezzeda Jeroen Kirchner ⭐ ★★★★★ 📖 ★★★ ⚓ ★★★ 💧 Normal Completed ✔
4th time in the western branch of Pezzeda for me. Every time i had a drill with me, so it is a bit of a time travel for me here. Today we added one abalakov, auxiliary rope (to be replaced with dyneema) and moved some (non)-stainless steel around. Current status: can be descended as such, though a good rebolting (team effort needed) would be great. A few times it is just m8 and a mix of metals or not so promising rock quality. Approach (specially with the fallen trees since 2018 and also in 2023 there was an avalanche from Monte Turlon) is more like 3-4 hours. In the canyon count 5 to 7 hours. In total a leisurely day. Pezzeda loses a star for its lengthy approach and return trip via the open last part, albeit one or two nice spots in the lower part. In conclusion, and never better said: for experienced parties with extra calories to burn.

In the upper part alone (1670-1575) today i added 6 Tebylon anchors, overall the sup can be descended safely now, missing though is a handline for the C30 (which is found on the right), for now use the rocks here or be assured by your team while accessing. The middle part is deeper and more adventurous, with old (mix of metal) and newer anchors (not always ideally placed), mostly singles. The last part i did not commit to and exited towards the trail river right at 1300+- because of approaching thunderstorm and missing anchors. For next visit: a handful of quicklinks, rope for trees and an unknown amount of anchors for the lower, for the middle and the handline in the upper part.

Like they did in Vinadia (but got destroyed), there's bits of via ferrata in Picchions (in great condition) which helps in tackling the boulder fields. Picchions has more water than its eastern neighbour but is more discontinuous. Surprising to find number plates at every abseil in conjunction with a mix of steel: i replaced as many anchors as i could that were non-inox and added M10 in addition to spits on a somewhat treacherous downclimb. Presence of one dead animal halfway Vinadia.

The views of Agner really add to this canyon. Not your typical Dolomite canyon, more like open sunny waterfalls and a great overal alpine setting. The last few obstacles after the c50 are optional, quite nice, but in a brittle rocklayer with a short bushy exit after that. Watch out, it's not all slides or jumps, already in one of the first pools was hiding a tree.
15.07.2026 Val di Scala Jeroen Kirchner ⭐ ★★★★★ 📖 ★★★ ⚓ ★★★ 💧 Normal Completed ✔
Via ferrata followed by a difficult hike (navigation skills required) that takes you away from the canyon and then traverses back at entrance level. The canyon gave me the shivers because of all the dead wood, but it is bolted so that you can avoid the worst parts. Some new ropes + quicklinks for the first and final abseils would be good. In between anchors are mainly 2*10mm bolts but not the best placements! All quicklinks were open!! Mix of steel, use of non-redundant ropes.... But it does the trick. Would we repeat? Probably not. It would need a good clean-up.

Tour of Susanna with a 7p. Italian team during Friulcanyon. Approach with blue markings in 2hrs. on a very hot day, perfect to get rewarded with pools & toboggans after every abseil. Anchors are plenty according to the recent teams and continuity of the first 3/4 of the canyon exceptional. We used the -45 in the big abseil (room for 3) which always works well. Great feedback and smiles after the work done here. The C60 I would still like to change, but I haven't figured out how... 6h40 total activity.

Long alpine canyon, that is more discontinuous than nearby Susanna or Nucci. To bring the security closer to standards we had to add many anchors, doubled or made redundant a lot. Good to know there is one obligatory toboggan of +-10m and another obligatory jump in the final part. In between there is a long and testing walk/downclimb along a landslide and boulders. We entered 1400masl+- through a larches field (pretty straightforward). There is room for some 4, maybe 5 additional anchors. Also thanks to the previous team for their work. There is still quite a few single 8mm made of a rusty mix of metal (bolts look inox) and may be changed by next team. Good downclimbing skills required for this canyon. 5-7hr in total.

The flow today was higher than usual after a few days of rain (we had 0,10 https://www.floods.it/public/Charts.php?Sensori[]=28159) but everything smooth (0,06-0.08 would be more gentle). I wouldn't say the descent is a5 but it isn't harmless either: there's undercurrents, some slippery spots and the occasional rock hiding in the white water. Unfortunately rather short. The damaged handline refers to a steel cable, gloves come recommended. The anchors aging, but they do the job.

Beautiful tour. Happy end with finish in the lake and swim back to the car. Some wood in the first few waterfalls, some we were possible to clear.
Beautiful lonely tour. All anchors ok. Low water level despite heavy rain in the evening and morning before the ascent. Access wild but well marked. Overall a great continuous rappel tour with only one walking passages in the lower third and nice high rappels. If there is a lot of water, it could be difficult to reach the exposed belay here and there.

Already a few years ago i added anchors to bring the lines closer to the water. First one is on the right bank where the other is left and far away (however, watch out with the boulder in the bottom not to get your rope stuck). This year we added 2 anchors right bank on top of the S-waterfall with fantastic view below a tributary = the original anchor with optional redirect left bank may now be used as handline. Doubled another anchor lower down where the rock does not sound too good = this one should be triangulized. The third abseil (single anchor with ring left bank) should be relocated all in all because of the poor rock quality. One solution here could be to feed a rope through the solid boulder (abalakov), which also brings the line into the flow. Cold but beautiful and a complete, fun day in Simon.

A bit early in the year, but given the fact it had only rained little in April (1cm of snow), the water flow is already at summer level. However, as a measure of precaution, a personal floating device was still useful. Thankful for the feedback of Jason, the aquatic scale was raised, i doubled the first anchor, doubled the big waterfall, added another anchor for the final handline, and doubled its exit (4 bolts for the handline in total). All the anchors are away from the tourist trail. No slings or ropes on the trees.

Completed the tour with quicklinks, rings, redundant anchors (M10 for the lower part). All drops top-to-bottom now have two anchors or abalakov as a complement in the upper part. The descent remains an adventure trip, but without compromise. Recommended is the combination of both mini-canyons as 1 itinerary from the lower parking. Spotted multiple snakes, one dead animal in the collector, but 0 ticks this time. Note: in my previous report i mention that i run upper + lower part, both refer to the tributary. This upper-upper part is a dry river bed below the big rock walls and is just walking. Interesting parts are lower part of tributary + lower part of collector. In between is a walking section. The file has been updated accordingly.

Bigger, wilder and deeper than what may appear from the description. You have to love walking in a rocky riverbed, but the sporty 30, the quite nice 60 and impressive narrow parts make up for the effort. I would definitely repeat. Anchors ok, there's even choices. Added a M10 SS bolt + hanger on the left of the old pitons with ropes in the final 5m abseil. If the next group likes this location, the ropes can be taken down, should be much cleaner.

Recent tour that could do with a comprehensive review of the anchors and rock quality. In two locations at least i noticed cracks and hollow, fractured rock, so i reached out with a solution: one time from a tree (the rope used, was found at the entrance of the canyon, probably cut) with a ring, on the right bank. Another location a few meters back from a steel anchor, also right bank, for a stainless steel Tebylon anchor. The higher abseils have double inox anchor with chain, and on better rock. Ideally combined with for example Val di Gole, when in the area. Best to bring ropes to leave behind, a drill and a couple anchors with your critical (sun)glasses on.

Snowmelt on Guajara & Teide saw moderate waterflow down to El Rio dam. This also means the pools have temporary underwater vegetation, as well as enormous rockfall. Impressive place... unfortunately rather laborous from its middle section. And a hike up for 1/2 of the 800m if you don't have a 4x4. Can be made shorter by doing the upper half or longer in combi with the sup. Anchors mostly doubled and in good condition, but also some clearly impacted by water & rockfall. One or two extra anchors would be good to have, also in the last part (guided abseils could use fixed ropes) to avoid some of the pools. Replaced a few recent steel for stainless.

Real slippery, strong flow and exposed abseils. A new tree in the upper pool where you could jump. 2 additional anchors were placed (well-protected) to access the big drops (each of them with double anchor). Nice surprise. Especially a few abseils, we chose the active lines, but from on top you don't know what to expect really. Drilled a few anchors, even chose to change some lines. The first one, for example, at the landslide (abseiling via a tree), we now have a new abseilstand on the right bank (no rope friction, not exposed, on good rock), whereas the old one is hard to reach. Unfortunately quite a few fixed ropes that need changing (or also cut the ropes and just add quicklinks) a few more renewed anchors would be welcome. Flood happened. The river bed further flattened out and a couple of natural dams one of which near the water release (picture) is particularly unstable (more rocks may need removing). All ingredients are united for a new devastating flood/natural dam to build. To appreciate, one should do the top start (at the tunnel), notice the moving rocks and trees that have been cut and fallen/thrown into the river bed. If these rocks or trees are not there, it is best not to enter unprepared! Regarding the broken anchor: its location is in the flow, hence impossible to replace in a durable way. Let's try sth new. Other nearby canyons were overflowing so we decided on Garganta 24hrs after multiple days of rain. (10-20mm or more) it activated the upper part, the middle section has more of a tendency to filter the water. The 3rd part is a nice extra. Morning start is best for light conditions.

Access closed due to building of a new walkway through the canyon. Looks like soon the canyon will have tourists going through it and looking on the canyoneers from above. Alternatively, and actually fairly attractive, is the via ferrata Tajo I (and II which is apparently closed but can be done descending in a loop). Water quality obviously very questionnable.

Can be descended fast or the technical way, with caving-style handlines. River bed has changed: gravel filled up the pools; no muddy passages. Only the last pool (can be accessed & assessed from the bridge too) was to be avoided (either via intermediate belay on the wall left or jumping the rocks in the pool itself). Hot spring after at +- 30°C is extra.

Lower section has been desequipped unfortunately. Only the 130 and a pool remain. Very long shuttle, to the dam count 50min one way. Better to hike the circular as suggested on info pannel on lower P. May get touristy as temperatures rise. The dam has currently very low levels.

Think long transitions and long shuttle. Start from area recreativa Gil Cobo (refuge is a little higher) by following the little stream. The lower P is among the olive trees (somewhat of 100m above the river bed, the last bit of forest road down is very steep and therefore best avoided in wet conditions especially and non 4x4 vehicle), upon exiting it is then best to hike up to the car, left 100m above on the opposite side. Legislation unsure.

Great descent to do in full with 2 cars and sunset on Teide on the return trip. We entered the canyon at 1450, exited 680. In the upper part a few natural anchors and spits (could be completed), lower part has been recently rebolted with extra 12mm steel anchors, on top of the glue-in bolts. We went through with machete + drill. Full descent takes 6-8hrs + car logistics.

Short version is described here, but the lower part is a very scenic-volcanic hike, with caves that may have been inhabited by the Guanches. It would be a shame to miss it. We continued until shortly before the highway, exited right to the secondary road + 5min of crosscountry to the highway exit and tunnel, which takes us back to the car at Cafeteria Los Roques (3-4hr) continuing to the beach would also be an option.

Done Orchilla inf. from El Frontón village with one car. Similar to the superiore, it can be combined with remote, but well bolted rockclimbs (25m. max). Orchilla inf. with exit along the Camino Real (before the 2 biggest drops) is possible with one 50m. Lower than this is said to be full of plants and bringing machete would be recommended, also two cars and bigger ropes (max. 44). Bolting not ideal but workable.

Also this year, very late (October), large snowremains halfway and (this is new) also at the exit of the canyon, both impossible to go below. Alpine techniques are a must! Anchors: some of the single anchors deemed 'ok' by previous teams, are actually on hollow, fractured rock!! These are now doubled but should be evaluated carefully, possibly equalized or even relocated. I have taken out much of the non-stainless steel anchors and replaced with inox. Doubled or renewed others. At the end of the large snowfield halfway the canyon, there is an emergency anchor (high!) and a damaged anchor (low), both on the left. The snow seems to end at this location every year (i.e. just before the narrow part, where the canyon makes a bend and stops the snow), this emergency anchor may be useful for reentering the canyon. From this point onwards, high chances of rockfall, until the impressive grand finale with unreachable anchors (i added in 2023 a single M10 on the left, with exposed access but well-protected). I post the sequence here, for copying it to the file on Opencanyon: 2 bolts L 20m 1 bolt R 10m 2 bolts R 20m (original anchor on bad rock!) 1 bolt L 10m 1 bolt R 20m 2 bolts L 25m 1 bolt L 6m 1 bolt L 8m Emergency exit L Snowfield to traverse for 100-200m: emergency bolt L 20m (if snow still reaches the bend in the canyon), if the end of the snow is in sight before the bend in the canyon (a wall that stops the snow) descend with alpine techniques and find 1 bolt L 15m Narrow part, high chances of rockfall, 2 different bolts R 8-10m Stuck boulder, 1 bolt R 10m (damaged quicklink backed up with carabiner) 2 bolts R 16m 1 bolt R 18m Grand finale 1 bolt L 24m (the other anchors are, at present, unreachable) Possible second snowremains (building a higher wall than the first) possible emergency exit L 1 bolt L 10m Downclimb and exit

Wonderful Karwendeltour from Vomp. Almost dry in its upper part but recommended for its curvy shapes in compact, white limestone. To our joy we found most drops rebolted straight from the start, with single, generally well-placed glue-in bolts (8mm). The original anchors are still in place, but no longer used (all are missing quicklink). The lower section on the other hand is almost excessively equipped with chains and fixed ropes. We added one Tebylon anchor in the upper part where a hanger was missing (but the rock on this location was bad) otherwise the bolting is fine. With a minimal bolting kit, this canyon should be doable top-to-bottom. As the book says, an ice axe could be interesting early season. Vomper loch currently has more gravel than usual.

Further to the exploration of the upper Cima Montagna at 1400m, we added abalakovs, some (used) quicklinks, and anchor for the highest drop, max. 30m. There is no need to exit the canyon, all drops are covered. Further down we added a couple M10 anchors, but still some downclimbing and many single 8mm. To be completed. Recommended is the full descent: Zima Montagna-Bosco Bello-Valmontina with start at 1400. For lovers of long days. From Bosco Bello onwards it is obvious how devastating these floods are. I.e. lots of boulders, walking, downclimbing but luckily also swimming, jumping, sliding. Final anchor in Valmontina is missing (we leave some emergency rope) but it can be overcome with a small jump from the boulder. Exit right bank up the scree, through the forest goes a small trail to the parking.

We entered quite high (around 1800masl) to descend on scree at first. Possibly a faster access to the good part exists on the orographic right bank, but according to one of our team members this trail is unfortunately unpassable with fallen trees. The canyon fills up nicely with water from the many karstic sources and good rock allows for pools, which offered jumps, slides and nice abseils. Albeit a little warning for trees or rocks that may be hidden in the pools. We bolted everything new with M10 anchors. We did not commit to the lower part on this day.

DC- which is always plenty/too much to enter the pool at the bottom of the c65, easily avoidable via right bank, using the 3 intermediate belays, last one is a tree on a ledge. First anchor is mono-point, rest is double. The canyon would be nicer if the waterfall could be descended in the active, but this is dangerous (hence signs on top). Discovered during Friulcanyon 23 & explored the week after with Gerhard Berger. We entered Nucci via Ciol Bevador halfway (easiest for the time being), we believe there could be a way to enter lower. Traces of the old trail on the approach but it is very overgrown and littered with wood. For a 2 person team we have been mega efficient to complete this in 1 go. After a testing approach and a way to enter the canyon, we still had to equip +- 30 abseils bcs what we found, was one or the other handdrilled spit from the 90's, looks like this team never finished the exploration. We were impressed by the canyon. Beautiful, mineral and wild. Its configuration reminds of Forti-Soffia, in a wilder, less aquatic version. Removed some wood from the canyon and opened a new aquatic line half way through the canyon. Conditions were perfect, a bit lower than the opening year 2021 (but higher than in 2022), it would seem the source depends on melting water (hence: more snow, late in the year = bigger flow, throughout summer)
