Wir sind dieses Jahr in den Naudersbach (linker, westlicher Zufluss) eingestiegen, welcher aber aufgrund der langen Geh- und Abkletterstrecken und wenigen Abseiler unattraktiver ist. Im Naudersbach haben wir 2 Haken eingebohrt. Im unteren Teil des Gamsgartl noch 6 Stände. 2022 (über Gamsbach eingestiegen) haben wir 10 Stände eingebohrt, welche alle noch da waren. Haben einige alte Bohrkronen und marode Stände abmontiert. Somit ist das Gamsgartl wieder relativ gut saniert, trotzdem viel Erfahrung und Kondition notwendig! Weniger Wasser als letztes Jahr im September, aber im unteren Teil kommen viele Quellen hinzu!
We entered the Naudersbach (left, western tributary) this year, but it is less attractive because of the long walking and descending routes and few rappels. In the Naudersbach we drilled 2 pitons. In the lower part of the Gamsgartl still 6 stands. 2022 (entered via Gamsbach) we drilled 10 holds, which were all still there. Have dismantled some old drill bits and dilapidated stands. Thus the Gamsgartl is again relatively well rehabilitated, nevertheless much experience and condition necessary! Less water than last year in September, but in the lower part many springs are added!

Again great experience, the ambience when you come out behind the waterfall is just impressive! Experienced can jump almost everything (Attention at the last 15m drop you have to jump far ahead!)

Sehr enge Kettenglieder an 8mm Anker, bei denen Seile > 10mm nicht durchpassen! Ein Ring wurde an einer schwierig abzukletternden Passage eingebohrt. Eine perfekte 10m Rutsche eher zum Schluss.
Very tight chain links on 8mm anchors, where ropes > 10mm do not fit through! A ring was drilled in a passage difficult to climb down. A perfect 10m chute rather at the end.

Es sollte unbedingt bei der Staumauer ausgestiegen werden, da der Abschnitt bis zum Start der Inferiore sehr mühsam ist und keine Haken gebohrt sind! Sehr spaßige Rutschen, ein perfekter 12m Sprung, sehr schöne Abschnitte aber auch zeitweise viel zum Abklettern. Sind etwas zu hoch eingestiegen und haben 1 Haken gebohrt. Weiter unten gute Kettenstände.
It should be sure to get out at the dam, because the section to the start of the Inferiore is very tedious and no hooks are drilled! Very fun slides, a perfect 12m jump, very nice sections but also at times much to climb off. Got in a little too high and drilled 1 piton. Further down good chain stands.

Haben bei Parkplätze in der Rechtskurve unterhalb des Canyoninganbieters geparkt, von da kommt man in 20min der Straße nach zur Brücke beim Einstieg. Den Ausstieg, den die kommerziellen Gruppen nutzen, der steil nach oben direkt zur Kurve führt, haben wir nicht gefunden. Viel mehr Wasserdurchsatz als vor ein paar Jahren durch EU-Verordnung, aber keine Abseilstelle ist direkt im Wasser.
Have parked at parking spaces in the right bend below the canyoning provider, from there you come in 20min of the road to the bridge at the entrance. The exit that the commercial groups use, which leads steeply up directly to the bend, we have not found. Much more water flow than a few years ago by EU regulation, but no rappel point is directly in the water.

Very many hikers (parking lots and road completely parked), middle gump deep enough to jump (do not jump too far ahead!), also final gump deep enough.

Stände OK, aber Ringe teilweise rostig (kein Edelstahl!). Anscheinend kann man den Tatzelwurm seilfrei begehen (20m Sprung, 22m Rutsche, ....), aber wir sind bei der Schräge die unteren 5m gerutscht, auch beim letzten Abseiler die untersten Meter gerutscht. Untere Fußgängerbrücke aufgrund Verfall gesperrt.
Stands OK, but rings partly rusty (no stainless steel!). Apparently you can walk the Tatzelwurm rope-free (20m jump, 22m slide, ....), but we slid the lower 5m at the slope, also slid the lowest meters at the last rappel. Lower pedestrian bridge closed due to decay.

Alle Haken sind nicht redundant (Expressanker + Ringe), aber gut kantenfrei platziert. Einige wenige kleine Abkletterstellen. Das Wetter kann sehr schnell umschlagen aufgrund der alpinen Lage, bei uns hat es kurrzeitig Graupel zu schneien begonnen, eine halbe Stunde später war es wieder sonnig.
All hooks are not redundant (express anchor + rings), but well placed without edges. A few small abseiling places. The weather can change very quickly due to the alpine location, with us it has briefly started to snow sleet, half an hour later it was sunny again.

Man muss nie direkt im Wasserstrahl abseilen. Zufluss von Pilotera war sehr gering. Im Bachbett teilweise sehr rutschig! Mit einer guten 3er Gruppe waren wir in 3h 45min durch.
You never have to abseil directly in the water stream. Inflow of Pilotera was very low. In the stream bed partly very slippery! With a good group of 3 we were through in 3h 45min.

Alle Stände mit doppelten Klebehaken abgesichert. Sehr viele Sprünge möglich. Einige wenige Becken schauen aber tiefer aus als sie sind aufgrund der dunkelgrünen Farbe, man sollte nicht in Versuchung kommen ohne Check überall hineinzuspringen.
All stands secured with double adhesive hooks. Very many jumps possible. However, a few pools look deeper than they are due to the dark green color, you should not be tempted to jump in everywhere without checking.

Fast alle Haken sind Eigenbau, aber massive Ringe und die Lasche ist doppelt eingebohrt. Hoher Sprung ca. 13m von markantem eingeklemmten Felsen perfekt machbar.
Almost all hooks are self-made, but solid rings and the lug is double drilled. High jump about 13m from prominent jammed rock perfectly doable.

Abseilringe meist nicht redundant und so platziert, dass man direkt im Wasserstrahl ist. Bei höherem Wasserstand sicher problematisch. Die zwei "interessanten" Teile der Schlucht sind schon lohnenswert.
Rappel rings usually not redundant and placed so that you are directly in the water jet. At higher water levels certainly problematic. The two "interesting" parts of the gorge are already worthwhile.

Wurde kombiniert mit Moserkarbach. Der Birkkarbach hat etwas interessantere Abseiler als der Moserkarbach. Zustieg sehr steil im oberen Teil. Taxi darf wegen Naturschutz nur bis 18:00 fahren, Handy-Empfang (A1 Netz) erst wieder im unteren Teil des Abstieges (wenn Wald beginnt). Viele alte Haken der Marke Eigenbau mit Schäkel, 4 davon wurden neu gebohrt und auf Edelstahl ausgetauscht bzw. ergänzt.
Was combined with Moserkarbach. The Birkkarbach has somewhat more interesting rappels than the Moserkarbach. Approach very steep in the upper part. Cab may only drive until 18:00 because of nature conservation, cell phone reception (A1 network) only again in the lower part of the descent (when forest begins). Many old hooks of the brand self-made with shackles, 4 of them were newly drilled and replaced on stainless steel or supplemented.

Kurze, aber sehr lohnenswerte Tour, perfekt zum Abkühlen an heißen Tagen. Vom Parkplatz beim Umspannwerk braucht man ca. 35min bis zum Einstieg, und die paar Sprünge nach der längeren flachen Passage sollten mitgemacht werden.
Short but very worthwhile tour, perfect for cooling off on hot days. From the parking lot at the substation you need about 35min to the entrance, and the few jumps after the longer flat passage should be taken.

Zustieg kann in ca. 35min von unten zu Fuß bewältigt werden. Wir waren eine erfahrene Gruppe und haben ab der Brücke nur 1h 50min gebraucht! Einige uninteressantere Stellen wurden umgangen (bereits sehr ausgetretene Pfade von kommerziellen Gruppen), teilweise sind Fixseile eingebaut. Pegelstand bei der Meßstelle war < blau, also sehr wenig
Approach can be managed in about 35min from the bottom on foot. We were an experienced group and have taken from the bridge only 1h 50min! Some less interesting places were bypassed (already very well-trodden paths of commercial groups), partly fixed ropes are installed. Level at the measuring point was < blue, so very little

Bei der Abseilstelle mit Seilgeländer direkt beim "Gnaupenloch" (Steinbogen am Ende des eng eingeschnittenen Abschnitts) ist eine etwas instabile Verklausung, Das Rapidglied zum Abseilen wurde beim Seilgeländer auf die zweite Verankerung versetzt.
At the rappelling point with rope railing directly at the "Gnaupenloch" (stone arch at the end of the narrow cut section) is a somewhat unstable entanglement, The rapid link for rappelling was moved to the second anchorage at the rope railing.

Leider nur unterster Teil interessant (letzte 4 Abseiler ab Steig Gaismoosstollen), und am Anfang eine schöne Stelle, ansonsten 1h Gehstrecke und lästige rutschige Baumkletterei! 2 Stände eingebohrt eher am Anfang der Schlucht, da keine vorhanden waren. Die Gumpen waren leider nicht tief genug zum Springen/Rutschen
Unfortunately, only the lowest part interesting (last 4 rappels from climb Gaismoosstollen), and at the beginning a nice place, otherwise 1h walking distance and annoying slippery tree climbing! 2 stands drilled rather at the beginning of the gorge, as none were available. The gullies were unfortunately not deep enough to jump / slide

In der Schlucht dürfte lange kein Hochwasser mehr durchgegangen sein, da teilweise sehr rutschig und moosig. Wieder sehr sehr schöne Schluchtenbegehung, Kälteschutz mittels Eisweiste. Handschuhe defininitiv zu empfehlen. Alle Stände vorhanden und in gutem Zustand (alles Klebehaken)
In the gorge no floods should have passed for a long time, because partly very slippery and mossy. Again very very nice canyon walk, cold protection by means of Eisweiste. Gloves definitely recommended. All stands available and in good condition (all adhesive hooks).

Wir sind auch den kurzen oberen Teil gegangen, der unterhalb der Wasserableitung bei der (oberen) kleinen Brücke beginnt, und bis zum Privat-Wasserkraftwerk geht. Der obere Teil (ca. 30min) beinhaltet nur kleinere Abseilstellen, ist flach und nichts besonderes. Ab der unteren Brücke wird die Schlucht dann sehr spektakulär und wahnsinnig schön! Wir haben 2 Stände (Niro-Ringe) nachgebohrt, ein Kettenstand davon war nicht mehr erreichbar. Zum Schluss, wenn es offener wird, haben wir und rechts gehalten, da dann noch schöne Abseilstellen sind. Das Gletscherwasser ist logischerweise extrem kalt, man sollte viel Neopren anziehen! 2 Paar Socken und Neoprenhandschuhe. Automatische Wasserableitung normalerweise im Herbst bei bestem Wetter kein Problem. 2 Notausstiege (bei Brücke und eher zum Schluss noch einer)
We also walked the short upper part, which starts below the water diversion at the (upper) small bridge, and goes to the private hydroelectric power station. The upper part (about 30min) includes only minor rappels, is flat and nothing special. From the lower bridge, the gorge then becomes very spectacular and insanely beautiful! We have 2 stands (Niro rings) re-drilled, a chain stand of it was no longer accessible. At the end, when it becomes more open, we have kept and right, because then are still beautiful abseiling places. The glacier water is logically extremely cold, you should put on a lot of neoprene! 2 pairs of socks and neoprene gloves. Automatic water drainage usually no problem in the fall in the best weather. 2 emergency exits (at bridge and rather at the end one more).
