Einstieg über einen Seitenarm des Gamsbaches. Wasserstand normal, im unteren Teil durch die viele Zuflüsse und Quellen recht großer Durchfluss. Wir zählten insgesamt 40 Abseilstände und benötigten inkl. 4x Bohren/Stand ausbessern 6,5h durch die Schlucht. Immer noch viele alte 8mm Anker und Selbstbau-Laschen vorhanden, die teilweise aber recht gut sind. Die ganz maroden bzw. Bohrkronen wurden die letzten Jahre von uns entfernt. Kein Lawinenschnee wegen dem schneearmen Winter. Das Gamsgartl ist eine sehr imposante und lange Schlucht, konditionell und risikotechnisch nicht zu unterschätzen!

Entry via a side arm of the Gamsbach. Water level normal, quite a high flow in the lower part due to the many tributaries and springs. We counted a total of 40 abseils and needed 6.5 hours through the canyon, including 4 drills/repairs. There are still many old 8mm anchors and self-made lugs, but some of them are quite good. The very dilapidated or drill bits were removed by us in recent years. No avalanche snow due to the winter with little snow. The Gamsgartl is a very impressive and long canyon, not to be underestimated in terms of fitness and risk!

Begehung des kompletten Latreinbaches. Oberer Teil fast trocken und erst halbwegs interessant ab Zusammenfluss der Seitenarme, erst dann auch etwas Wasser. Beim Einstieg am unteren Teil (neue Forststraße) hängen 3 umgestürzte Bäume sehr ungünstig. Generell sehr viel Holz und Verklausungen bei den Abseilstellen. Im oberen Teil 2 mal gebohrt, es muss aber in den letzten Jahren jemand mal durchgegangen sein, da ein paar neu wirkende Stände zu finden waren.

Walk along the entire Latreinbach. Upper part almost dry and only halfway interesting from the confluence of the side arms, only then also some water. At the entry at the lower part (new forest road) 3 fallen trees are hanging very unfavorably. Generally a lot of wood and blockages at the abseiling points. Drilled 2 times in the upper part, but someone must have gone through in recent years, as there were a few new-looking stands.

Sonne ab mittags im Canyon. Die ersten Abseiler wirklich traumhaft, etwas getrübt von einer sehr langen Bachwanderung, aber die Ankunft im Meer ist wieder sehr schön.

Sun from midday in the canyon. The first rappels are really fantastic, somewhat marred by a very long river walk, but the arrival in the sea is again very beautiful.

Straße nur bis Camping Tuani selbst befahrbar, ab dort nur noch per Shuttle-Bus bis "A Frasseta" befahrbar (danach 2 Brücken eingestürzt, Straße teils weggebrochen) - Shuttle muss im Vorhinein gebucht werden! https://www.isula.corsica/Navetta-Restonica-C13_a4624.html Von der Endstation muss man ca. 6km noch zum Talende am Wanderweg zu Fuß gehen (Beschilderung nach "Lac de Melo", orografisch links) - mit zusätzlichen 1,5-2h rechnen, pro Richtung! Canyon ist sich für uns dann nicht mehr ausgegangen, Wasserstand wäre cool gewesen :)

Road only passable to Camping Tuani itself, from there only passable by shuttle bus to "A Frasseta" (then 2 bridges collapsed, road partly broken away) - shuttle must be booked in advance! https://www.isula.corsica/Navetta-Restonica-C13_a4624.html From the terminus, you have to walk approx. 6km to the end of the valley along the hiking trail (signposted to "Lac de Melo", orographic left) - expect an additional 1.5-2h each way! Canyon didn't work out for us, water level would have been cool :)

We used a floating anchor at the point where all the water comes together (just before the C15), the rest of the canyon is no problem even when the water level is high. Pictures: Water level from the bridge, pool in front of the C15 and C15 from below

Beschreibung als "kompletter Canyon" wohl etwas übertrieben ;) war "ganz nett". Zustieg schwer zu finden, eher weglos (viele Dornenbüsche!) Aktuell kann man an der beschriebenen Parkbucht wegen einer Baustelle nicht parken, ca 500m weiter östlich möglich (dann kann man nach dem Canyon direkt im Fluss zum Auto schwimmen)

Description as "complete canyon" probably a bit exaggerated ;) was "quite nice". Access difficult to find, rather pathless (many thorn bushes!) Currently you can not park at the described parking bay because of a construction site, about 500m further east possible (then you can swim directly in the river to the car after the canyon)

Die für uns wohl bisher beste Zustiegsvariante: vom oberen Parkplatz den geraden/leicht ansteigenden Forstweg ("Jochberg-Ost") bis zum Ende folgen, dann auf der gleichen Höhenlinie ca 300m bis zum Bach und in diesen absteigen (auch mit Seil möglich) - immer noch steil, aber für ein wesentlich kürzeres Stück! 2 Haken neu gebohrt.

Probably the best approach option for us so far: from the upper parking lot, follow the straight/easily ascending forest path ("Jochberg-Ost") to the exit, then follow the same contour line for approx. 300m to the stream and descend into it (also possible with ropes) - still steep, but for a much shorter section! 2 anchors newly drilled.
