Beautifull alternativ canyon for Sbrici good for spring or after rain. Canyon is not so narrow as but more vertical. Almost at the end we can see a bomb from the first world war. And see some fossils in the right wall.
A beautiful alternative canyon to Sbrici, great for spring or after rain. The canyon isn't as narrow, but it's steeper. Near the exit, we can see a bomb from World War I. And there are some fossils on the right wall.

Be careful to enter the canyon with high water, if so make sure you create an emergency exit on the confluence. By hanging a rope of a tree so you could exit the canyon after the confluence. The first waterfall after the confluence with high water can be dangerous!!!

We equiped the big waterfall at the start. Sequence goes 1 bolt left 8m down to 2 bolts left 55m down. Next waterfall 1 bolt right 20m. Then down climb 2 more waterfalls. Classic tour all bolts good! Definetly nice trip after the water intake.

Erstbegehung. Leider auf Grund des Zustiegs nur eine 2,5-Stern-Bewertung von mir. Anstrengend mit kniffligen Passagen. Der Canyon selbst hat einen starken Nährstoffeintrag im Oberlauf, dadurch ist er sehr rutschig. Sehr schade weil die Abseile sehr kontinuierlich sind in kompakten Fels. Definitiv ein Canyon für Abenteurer und Sammler 😉
First ascent. Unfortunately only a 2.5-star rating from me due to the access. Strenuous with tricky passages. The canyon itself has a strong nutrient input in the upper reaches, making it very slippery. Too bad because the rappels are very continuous in compact rock. Definitely a canyon for adventurers and collectors 😉

Erstbegehung. Sehr schöner Canyon in einer einmaligen Landschaft. Eher ein Canyon für das Frühjahr/Frühsommer. Einerseits wegen des Zustiegs, aber auch wegen des Wasserstands. Weißer Kalkfels, blaue Gumpen und eine wunderbare Höhlensektion in einem Bergsturz am Ende. Etwas für sportliche Canyonauten aber aus meiner Sicht lohnenswert.
First ascent. Very beautiful canyon in a unique scenic setting. Rather a canyon for spring/early summer. On the one hand because of the access, but also because of the water level. White limestone rock, blue pools and a wonderful cave section in a landslide at the exit. Something for sporty canyoneers but worthwhile in my view.

Erstbegehung. Der Bach hat durchaus schöne Einzelstellen. Leider war er bei unserer Begehung durchaus rutschig, weil viel Nährstoffeintrag durch den Wald ist und durch den geringen Wasserdurchsatz ist es natürlich klar, dass sich Algen bilden. Leider mussten wir durch die schlechte Felsqualität oft mit Baumschlingen arbeiten oder mit nicht idealen Hakenpositionen. Formia ist definitiv ein Abenteuer aber sehr schön zu kombinieren mit dem oberen Alba-Teil.
First ascent. The stream has some beautiful individual sections. Unfortunately, it was quite slippery during our ascent because there is a lot of nutrient input from the forest and the low water flow means that algae naturally forms. Unfortunately, due to the poor rock quality, we often had to work with tree slings or with less than ideal bolt positions. Formia is definitely an adventure but can be combined very nicely with the upper Alba section.

Walked up from Chiot took me 2 hours. Did the canyon in 3 hours. everyrhing ok just 1 waterfall 20m coildnt find the anchor. And 1 climb down is a bit sketchy. Loved the canyon! Just can use some extra water

Erstbegehung, Zustieg über einen überraschend guten Steig der nicht mehr in der Tabacco-Karte drin ist. Zu früh eingestiegen, man könnte (mühsam) noch etwas höher hinauf. Das Gelände wird aber schnell steil und exponiert. Die Schlucht selbst ist Abenteuergelände mit kurzen Gehstrecken zwischen den Abseilern.
First ascent, access via a surprisingly good path that is no longer on the Tabacco map. Too early, you could (laboriously) climb a little higher. However, the terrain quickly becomes steep and exposed. The canyon itself is adventure terrain with short walking passages between the rappels.

No anchor points except on the big one which is equiped very good. You have multiple anchor points there and all new. We left one sling with mailon in the canyon on the first waterfall in the “narrow” part. Upper part can be downclimed. In the middle you use trees for abseiling.

Did the canyon yesterday all anchors are good, some maillon missing. Left a sling and maillon above the 120m waterfall. Next team should bring some rope and 5 maillons with them. Could have some more water, but defiantly a beauty

Really dirty canyon, couple of death animals in the canyon. Besides that beautiful canyon, worth for a visit, With out the garbage in the canyon maybe a 3 star canyon. last part of the canyon dry because the power plant takes all the water, but the water is much more clearer in the last part

Canyon all good! All stands were good waterlevel starts too drop. Would say walk up is 1 hour and time in canyon is 4 hours insteqd what is written down in description!!!

New entry is awesome perfect 2nd canyon on one day. Walked to start in 30m Decented in 1.5 hours. All pools deep for sliding/jumping On anchor 2, the mc anchor is missing can be a problem with high water.

Ganz kurze schlucht, Haken sind in gute zustand perfect zu kombieneren mit Rio Rivis. Steig spur schlecht zu finden aber Gaia maps funktioneert gut
Very short gorge, hooks are in good condition perfect to combine with Rio Rivis. Climb track difficult to find but Gaia maps works well

Alles in guten zustand, aber vorher du die 7m nach unter hupft, erst zeil bereid machen fur die nachste wasserfall, die 5m haken links sinds alle abgebrochen. Und * 7m Abseilen von Haken links (2018 Fixseil). ist auch nicht dar, wir haben die baum im pool gebraucht fur anchor.
Everything is in good condition, but before you do the 7m down, first make ready for the next waterfall, the 5m hooks on the left are all broken off. And * 7m abseil from hook left (2018 fixed rope). is also not there, we have used the tree in the pool for anchor.

Did the canyon today! Nice beautifull canyon too bad all the pools are shallow. Walked from parking to start of canyon in 1hr, would say for a normal fit person the walk is only 1,5 hrs.

Awesome canyon, short but worth it!! We did it 3 days after rain and the water level was high! but awesome trip. We took all the anchors in the flow anchors were excellent.

Would rate canyon V3 A3 III, with normal flows take the right anchor point on the last waterfall, tiny bit too much walking. We did the shuttle walking, it took 30 min.
