Von Moggio Udinese ins Aupa Tal hinauf. Rechts abzweigen nach Pardis abzweigen und der Straße weiter den Berg hinauf folgen. Bei einer Abzweigung rechts. Parkplatz vor Schranken auf etwa 1050m.

From Moggio Udinese up into the Aupa valley. Turn right to Pardis and follow the road further up the mountain. Turn right at a junction. Parking lot in front of a barrier at about 1050m.

Dem Wanderweg 450 nach NE folgen. Dieser Steigteil war 2026 noch offiziell gesperrt, kann und wird aber weiterhin begangen. Die offizielle Wegführung bleibt für 60 Höhenmeter auf der Straße und leitet dann hinunter zum alten Weg. Bald danach bei einer Wegkreuzung nach NE ins meist trockene Bachbett vom Rio Alba. Über den Bach und ohne viel Höhengewinn oder -verlust am Steig ins Tal vom Rio Fondaris rein. Bei einem Steinmann oder etwas danach vom Wanderweg auf einem mit blauen Punkten und Steinmännern markierten Jägersteig abzweigen, der Ins Tal des Rio Fondaris leitet. Diesen Steig verfolgen und knapp vorm Schluchtbeginn ins Bachbett absteigen (50m vorher zweigt ein Steig nach links ab)

Follow hiking trail 450 to the NE. This part of the climb was still officially closed in 2026, but can and is still used. The official route remains on the road for 60 meters and then leads down to the old path. Soon afterwards, at a crossroads, turn NE into the mostly dry streambed of the Rio Alba. Cross the stream and follow the path into the Rio Fondaris valley without gaining or losing much altitude. At a cairn or a little further on, branch off from the hiking trail on a hunters path marked with blue dots and cairns that leads into the valley of the Rio Fondaris. Follow this path and descend into the streambed just before the gorge begins (a path branches off to the left 50m before)

Kurz durch das Blockchaos vom Rio Alba aufsteigen, dann orogr. rechts in den Laubwald wechseln. Insgesamt muss man etwa 40-50hm aufsteigen um einen querenden, mit blauen Punkten und Steinmännern markierten Steig zu erreichen. Auf diesen Steig nach SE. Der schöne Steig quert eine Bergsturzzone (die alten Sicherungen ignorieren und stattdessen oberhalb umgehen) und quert dann in ca. 15min durch felsdurchsetzten Steilwald zu einer Wegkreuzung. Hier den mit pinken Punkten markierten Steig nach rechts nehmen. Man erreicht bald eine verlassene Hütte (Case Foramiz), hier nur mehr kurz auf der Forststraße zum unteren Parkplatz aufsteigen. Man könnte auch versuchen im Bachbett vom Rio Alba abzusteigen, dieser Abschnitt wurde aber (noch) nicht begangen und wäre ein eigenes Abenteuer.

Climb briefly through the chaos of boulders from the Rio Alba, then turn orographic right into the deciduous forest. In total you have to climb about 40-50m to reach a crossing path marked with blue dots and cairns. Follow this path to the SE. The beautiful path crosses a landslide zone (ignore the old belays and bypass above instead) and then crosses through steep forest interspersed with rocks in about 15 minutes to a crossroads. Here take the path marked with pink dots to the right. You soon reach an abandoned hut (Case Foramiz), here only a short ascent on the forest road to the lower parking lot. You could also try descending along the streambed of the Rio Alba, but this part has not (yet) been climbed and would be an adventure in its own right.
