Bardzo fajny, techniczny kanion. Grupa 9 osób, czas przejscia około 4,5 godziny.

A really cool, technical canyon. A group of 9 people; the hike took about 4.5 hours.

Niedriger Wasserstand. Haken alle in Ordnung. Haben den integrale gemacht. Oberer Abschnitt wunderschön, unterer Teil kaum lohnenswert zur Zeit wegen zu wenig Wasser, das aber schön klar und frisch ist.

4th time in the western branch of Pezzeda for me. Every time i had a drill with me, so it is a bit of a time travel for me here. Today we added one abalakov, auxiliary rope (to be replaced with dyneema) and moved some (non)-stainless steel around. Current status: can be descended as such, though a good rebolting (team effort needed) would be great. A few times it is just m8 and a mix of metals or not so promising rock quality. Approach (specially with the fallen trees since 2018 and also in 2023 there was an avalanche from Monte Turlon) is more like 3-4 hours. In the canyon count 5 to 7 hours. In total a leisurely day. Pezzeda loses a star for its lengthy approach and return trip via the open last part, albeit one or two nice spots in the lower part. In conclusion, and never better said: for experienced parties with extra calories to burn.

Aktuell alles problemlos. Mit mehr Wasser sicher ein wilder Ritt. Wir haben beim letzten hohen Abseiler (oro links am Baum) ein Rapidglied ergänzt. Bei diesem Abseiler würde ich mir gut überlegen ob ich ins Becken springe, da sich hinten vermutlich ein Undercut befindet.

Everything’s going smoothly right now. With more water, it’d definitely be a wild ride. We added a rapid link at the last high rappel (oro on the left side of the tree). At this rappel, I’d think twice about jumping into the pool, since there’s probably an undercut at the back.

Wir haben direkt neben der Brücke geparkt. Der Besitzer des Firmengelände meinte, dort wäre es okay, da bei ihm auf dem Parkplatz öfters größere Fahrzeuge wenden müssten. Der Canyon ist sportlich. Man wird ordentlich nass und es gibt einige Umlenker einzubauen. Meistens sieht es von oben aber wilder aus als es nachher ist.

We parked right next to the bridge. The owner of the business property said it was okay there, since larger vehicles often have to turn around in his parking lot. The canyon is a challenge. You’ll get pretty wet, and there are a few bypasses to set up. Most of the time, though, it looks wilder from above than it actually is.

Kurze Version mit alternativen Einstieg gewählt, um Bachlatscher zu Umgehen. Kurz, 2 Abseiler in der Grotte. Absolut lohnenswert! Seilbahn noch vorhanden. Macht viel Spaß!

Chose the short version with an alternative entry point to avoid the Bachlatscher. Short route, 2 rappels in the cave. Totally worth it! The cable car is still in operation. A lot of fun!

Bei Wegfindung passen alle Zeitangaben, Einzellhaken im oberen Teil (bis Wanderweg Querung) gut (jedoch könnten noch 2-3 Haken hilfreich sein). Im unteren Teil gibt es meist nur alte Haken (Standplätze verbesserungswürdig), im großen und ganzen nette (Anfänger-) Tour aber nichts besonderes. Zum Teil sehr rutschig.

For navigation, all the time estimates are accurate, and the individual anchors in the upper section (up to where the trail crosses) are sufficient (though 2–3 more anchors might be helpful). In the lower section, there are mostly just old anchors (belay stations could use some improvement); overall, it’s a nice (beginner) route but nothing special. It’s very slippery in places.
