Sehr schöner alpiner Tessiner Canyon mit gewaltigen Pools, welche man in dieser Höhenlage nicht vermutet. Teilweise enge Schlucht mit viel Wasser. Heute Wasserstand auf Grund der wochenlangen Trockenheit perfekt für eine Begehung - die Schlucht hat immer sehr viel Wasser. Wir mussten 5 neue Haken in der Schlucht bohren, da die sehr sehr alten Haken teilweise abgeschlagen waren oder zu sehr verrostet waren. Es fühlte sich an, als wäre seit 20 Jahren niemand mehr diese Schlucht begangen. Die Begehung dieser Schlucht sollte als ernsthafte Unternehmung geplant werden. Achtung: kein Mobilfunknetz! Abschluss-Abseiler ist in 25m - 80m unterteilt.
A very beautiful alpine canyon in Ticino with massive pools—the kind you wouldn’t expect at this altitude. The canyon is narrow in places and has plenty of water. Today, due to weeks of dry weather, the water level was perfect for a hike—the canyon always has a lot of water. We had to drill 5 new anchors in the canyon because some of the very, very old anchors had been knocked loose or were too rusted. It felt as though no one had hiked this canyon in 20 years. A hike through this canyon should be planned as a serious undertaking. Warning: no cell service! The final rappel is divided into 25m and 80m sections.

Alle Haken in Ordnung (Inox). Unter einem „Canyon mit Funelementen“ hätten wir uns deutlich mehr erhoff. Viel Holz, 1,5 Rutschen. Für uns kein Wiederholungsbedarf. Lucki hätte nur einen Stern gegeben.
All the anchors are in good condition (stainless steel). We had hoped for much more from a “canyon with fun elements.” Lots of wood, 1.5 slides. We won’t be going back. Lucki would have given it only one star.

Schöne Abseiltour, sehr viel Holz in der Schlucht, Alle Stände in Ordnung. Keine Sprünge / Rutschen möglich. An- und Abmeldung beim Kraftwerk lief problemlos.
Nice rappelling route, lots of wood in the canyon, all belay stations in good condition. No jumps or slides possible. Check-in and check-out at the power plant went smoothly.

Waren nach der Spülung aufgrund von anhaltenden Regenfällen am Vortag drin - alles tip top. Alle Haken okay, alle Sprünge möglich.
The water was still in the course after the flush due to the heavy rain the day before—everything was in perfect condition. All the anchors were fine, and all the moves were doable.

Slippery, not much trash, still clean even past the sewage treatment plant. All anchors are in good condition, but unfortunately there are no diving boards or slides.

aktuell sehr griffig, alle Stände okay, sind hochgelaufen, ca. 30 Min zum Parkplatz Einstieg und von dort 10 Min. zum Einstieg. Pools waren alle zugekiest, nur 1 Minisprung möglich. Beschreibung wurde nach der Begehung aktualisiert.
Currently has great grip; all sections are in good condition and have dried out. It takes about 30 minutes to reach the parking lot and another 10 minutes from there to the entry. All pools have been filled with gravel, so only one small jump is possible. The description was updated after the reconnaissance hike.

Schon ziemliche Eisbildung. Immer noch schön und noch knapp ohne Grödel möglich, jedoch schon etwas mühsam. Für den Zustieg Grödel mitnehmen.
Already quite a lot of ice. Still beautiful and just about possible without grödel, but a bit tedious. Take grödel with you for the access.

Es hat etwa 30cm Schnee. Für Zustieg und Schlucht sind Grödel nötig. Alle Stände sind trotz Eis gut erreichbar. Hat Spass gemacht 😜 Zum Hochfahren Ketten mitnehmen.
There is about 30cm of snow. Grödel poles are required for access and canyons. All stands are easily accessible despite the ice. It was fun 😜 Take chains with you for the ascent.

Erstaunlich viel Wasser, obwohl die anderen Bäche wenig Wasser haben. Sind beim Zusammenfluss der beiden Bäche eingestiegen. Jedoch lohnt sich die Schlucht erst ab Mondan. Insgesamt 3 Haken gesetzt.
Surprisingly much water, although the other streams have little water. Got in at the confluence of the two streams. However, the canyon is only worthwhile from Mondan onwards. Set a total of 3 anchors.

Wonderful beautiful canyon! One of the very very best ones! 🤩🥰 Loooved it! Great team as well’ For sure only for confirmed canyoneers. No ice. All ankers ok. And new bolt on the orographic left side after the C30 where it opens up again, there were the crack under the waterfall is. You can awoid rappeling too much in the waterbeam now. Stay safe’ 😌

Tolle Schlucht. Am Anfang etwas Eis auf den Felsen, nach kurzer Zeit nicht mehr.Bei der hohen Wand ist der Zwischenstand nach dem 55m relativ weit links ausserhalb des Wassers. Beim C40 +C40 kann man links im Trockenen abseilen - Standplätze sind vorhanden.
Great canyon. At the beginning some ice on the rocks, after a short time no more.at the high wall the intermediate stand after the 55m is relatively far left out of the water. At the C40 +C40 you can rappel on the left in the dry - belays are available.

Aquatische Schlucht Zustieg via Fernwanderweg „E5“ bis 1330 MüM 47.170314, 10.569754 Koordinaten vom ersten Haken, wo man die Rinne runter über die installierten Haken abseilen kann. 60m misst die längste Abseilstelle im Zustieg. Die Begeher sollten im Umgang mit Weißwasser geübt sein. Zwei sehr enge Stellen in der Schlucht werden via Fixseile umklettert (die erste rechts am 15m langen Schrägseil hoch, die zweite Stelle links am senkrechten Seil 7m hoch). Haken überwiegend rostig, aber vorhanden. Wasserstand war sportlich, aber gut machbar. Achtung mit den Pools. Oft nicht tief und steinig. Bei mehr Wasser zum Teil rückläufig.
Aquatic canyon Access via long-distance hiking trail "E5" to 1330 m above sea level 47.170314, 10.569754 Coordinates from the first anchor, where you can rappel down the chute via the installed anchors. The longest abseil on the access measures 60m. The climbers should be practiced in dealing with white water. Two very narrow places in the canyon are climbed around via fixed ropes (the first on the right up a 15m long diagonal rope, the second on the left up a 7m vertical rope). Anchors mostly rusty, but available. Water level was sporty, but easily doable. Be careful with the pools. Often not deep and rocky. Partly receding with more water.

Sehr sportlicher Wasserstand, nur für geübte Canyonisten mit Wildwasserkenntnissen und guter Seiltechnik. Außerdem sind beim aktuellen Wasserstand gute Ortskenntnisse zur Platzierung der Standplätze in der Schlucht Voraussetzung. Insgesamt aktuell sehr rutschig. Stände alle okay. Beim zweiten Sprung nicht ins Weißwasser sondern links daneben springen (altbekannte Felsplatte).
Very sporty water level, only for experienced canyonists with whitewater skills and good rope technique. In addition, at the current water level, good local knowledge is a prerequisite for placing the stands in the canyon. Currently very slippery overall. Stands all okay. On the second jump, do not jump into the white water but to the left of it (well-known rock slab).

Im oberen Teil etwas sportlicher, aber nicht gefährlich! Alle Haken tip top. Seilgeländer in der S-Rutsche im unteren Teil stark beschädigt. Zugang zur Schlucht frei von Büschen und hohe Grass.
A bit more sporty in the upper part, but not dangerous! All anchors tip top. The rope traverse in the lower part of the S-slide is badly damaged. Access to the canyon free of bushes and high grass.

Trocken-Canyon mit lohnendem 80m Abseiler. Kann in 15m und 70m freihängend aufgeteilt werden. Achtung Steinschlag in nahezu jedem Abseiler durch loses Geröll. Zustieg: bis zum ersten Abseiler ca. 1 Std einplanen (ab Friedhof) Ausstieg: nach dem letzten großen Abseiler an der Wand entlang nach Süden rauslaufen bis zum Wanderweg Fazit: super viel gelatsche für eigentlich nur letzten schönen 80m Abseiler. Scharfe Kanten. Nicht bei schlechtem Wetter, Wind, Regen da große Gefahr von Steinschlag.
Dry canyon with rewarding 80m rappel. Can be divided into 15m and 70m free-hanging. Beware of falling rocks in almost every rappel due to loose scree. Access: allow approx. 1 hour to the first rappel (from the cemetery). Exit: after the last big rappel, walk south along the wall to the hiking trail. Conclusion: a superiore amount of climbing for actually only the last beautiful 80m rappel. Sharp edges. Not in bad weather, wind, rain as there is a high risk of falling rocks.

5cm Schnee am Parkplatz und Wanderweg. in der Schlucht Steine teilweise mit 2mm Eisüberzug, allerdings noch ohne Steigeisen machbar. Waren zu dritt in 1,5 Stunden durch
5cm of snow at the parking lot and hiking trail. In the canyon stones partly with 2mm ice cover, but still doable without crampons. Three of us were through in 1.5 hours

Wenn man die Schlucht sehr gut kennt, macht sie auch bei sehr viel Wasser Spass. 1 Schlüsselstelle, wo man einen Treibanker/ Rucksack braucht, um eine Rappelguide zu bauen.
If you know the canyon very well, it is fun even when there is a lot of water. 1 key point where you need a floating anchor/backpack to build a rappel guide.

Auch bei viel Wasser kein Problem, da man fast nie im Strahl abseilen muss.
No problem even when there is a lot of water, as you almost never have to rappel in the jet.
