Von der Autobahnabfahrt Bellinzona Süd kommend über den Fluss Ticino, am Flugplatz von Locarno vorbei und dann am Kreisel geradeaus bis zur T-Kreuzung. Hier links und den Wegweisern in's Verzascatal folgend über Gordola, vorbei am Staudamm, am Stausee entlang nach Vogorno (11,3 km ab Überquerung des Ticino). Vom Vogorno fahren wir weiter am Stausee entlang nach Lavertezzo von dort weiter Richtung Brione. Hier weiter Richtung Gerra danach nach Frasco bis zur Brücke über den Riale d'Efra.

Coming from the highway exit Bellinzona Süd, cross the river Ticino, pass Locarno airport and then straight on at the traffic circle to the T-junction. Turn left here and follow the signs into the Verzasca Valley via Gordola, past the dam, along the reservoir to Vogorno (11.3 km from the crossing of the Ticino). From Vogorno we continue along the reservoir to Lavertezzo and from there towards Brione. Here continue towards Gerra and then Frasco as far as the bridge over the Riale d'Efra.

Von der Brücke aus ca. 50 m der Straße folgen. Rechts zwischen den häusern geht ein Pfand bergauf. Diesem folgen und wenn er auf das Ende einer Straße trifft rechts abzweigen. An der nächsten Abzweigung den rechten Pfad weniger Steil eher in das Tal einquerend nehmen. Dem Pfad für gute 90 Minuten folgen, bis man in Chignö/Chignolo ankommt (1360 hm). Alternativer Start etwas früher bei ca. 1260hm vor dem Steilen Anstieg direkt ins Flussbett.

From the bridge, follow the road for approx. 50 m. A path goes uphill to the right between the houses. Follow this and turn right when it reaches the exit of a road. At the next junction, take the path on the right, which is less steep and enters the valley. Follow the path for a good 90 minutes until you reach Chignö/Chignolo (1360 m). Alternative start a little earlier at approx. 1260m before the steep ascent directly into the river bed.

Sehr lange Tour mit einigen interessanten Stellen zum Teil rutschbar. Auch an höheren Abseilstellen sind die unteren Teile zum Teil rutschbar. Gut auschecken. Sehr offener Charakter. Notausstieg zu fast jeder Zeit möglich, außer in der letzten Sektion wo es eingeschnitten ist.

Very long tour with some interesting sections, some of which are slippery. The lower parts are also partly slippery at higher abseiling points. Check out well. Very open character. Emergency exit possible at almost any time, except in the last section where it is cut in.

Bei der Brücke aussteigen. Man ist direkt am Auto.
