Vom Autobahnkreuz Autobahnkreuz (Gotthard/Bernardino) im Norden von Bellinzona auf der N 2 nordwärts. Kurz nach der Ortsdurchfahrt von Cresciano li. abbiegen und zur anderen Talseite nach Lodrino (ca. 12 km ab Autobahnkreuz). In die Ortschaft (rechts) hineinfahren und nach der Brücke über den Bach die 3. Straße links. Hinter dem Friedhof (nicht bei er Aufbewahrungshalle) erstes Fahrzeug parken (die Parkplätze vor dem Supermarkt und unter den Bäumen in der Ortsmitte sollten nicht in Anspruch genommen werden). Mit dem zweiten Auto nördlich in Richtung Iragna fahren und nach fast 2 km (ab Lodrino) unmittelbar nach den Häusern von Rodaglio bei einem Gewerbebetrieb (GPS-Koordinaten: 46°19'02.46"N / 8°58'19.70"E ), gleich nach einer unscheinbaren Kapelle links ab auf ein kleines Strässchen, das uns hinaufbringt zu den Häusern von Legri (eine Abzweigung nach re. - Zufahrt zum oberen Iragna - ignorieren) Es geht auf dem Sträßchen immer geradeaus, bis es auf einer freien Fläche (Hubschrauberlandeplatz)endet (bzw sich als Piste in westlicher Richtung fortsetzt). Hier das zweite Auto abstellen.
Die Straße zum oberen Parkplatz ist eine Privatstraße mit Maut.
From the freeway junction (Gotthard/Bernardino) north of Bellinzona on the N 2 northwards. Shortly after passing through Cresciano, turn left and drive to the other side of the valley to Lodrino (approx. 12 km from the interchange). Enter the village (on the right) and after the bridge over the stream take the 3rd street on the left. Park your first car behind the cemetery (not at the storage hall) (do not use the parking spaces in front of the supermarket and under the trees in the center of the village). With the second car, drive north towards Iragna and after almost 2 km (from Lodrino), immediately after the houses of Rodaglio, at a commercial establishment (GPS coordinates: 46°19'02.46 "N / 8°58'19.70 "E ), just after an inconspicuous chapel, turn left onto a small road that takes us up to the houses of Legri (a fork to the right). - The road continues straight ahead until it ends in an open area (helipad) (or continues as a dirt road to the west). Park the second car here.

Der Lodrino ist nur nach längerer Trockenheit ohne Risiko zu begehen. Wenn man am Ende des Canyons (von der orograf. li. Seite gut zugänglich) in die Engstelle hinaufschaut, bekommt man zumindest einen ungefähren Eindruck von der Situation. Nach einigen kleineren Rutschen und Sprüngen steht man vor der ersten richtigen Abseilstelle, einem gewundenen 15m Kanal. Wenn es der Wasserstand zulässt 15m von links abseilen, oder rechts zum anderen Ende des Gumpens queren und von dort 10m hinunterspringen. Nach ein paar schönen Kurven steht man vor einer fast senkrechten 11m Rutsche. Gefährliche Felsbucht links, beim Auftauchen rechts halten. Kann aber auch links abgeseilt werden. Es folgen ein 8m Abseiler von Haken links und zwei enge, gewundene Felskanäle bevor sich die Schlucht deutlich erweitert (weglose Fluchtmöglichkeit links). Der zweite Teil der Klamm beginnt mit einer 7m Rutsche und einem 7m Sprung in ein tiefes Becken. Es folgt ein sehr fotogener 9m Abseiler (Kann auch gesprungen werden). Die nächste, wild aussehende 5m Abseilstelle entweder im Wasser abseilen oder rechts an Geländerseil umgehen. Beim großen Abseiler von zwei Haken rechts 5m abseilen (Seilgeländer einbauen) um den eigentlichen Stand links unter der Kante zu erreichen. Hier gehts 45m in ein großes Becken hinunter. Hier Fluchtmöglichkeit nach rechts. Rechts am Wehr vorbei und durchs Blockchaos abklettern. Den letzten Wasserfall entweder von rechts 37m im Wasserstrahl abseilen, oder nach links über Fixseile zu einem trockenen Stand queren. Zuletzt nochmal 22m von Stand rechts oben abseilen. Ausstieg möglich auf einem gepflasterten Weg nach dem 45-m-Abseiler. Die Rinne zu Beginn des vorletzten (37-m-)Abseilers kann man zwar vermeiden, wenn man li. oberhalb aus dem Drahtverhau abseilt; nicht vermeiden kann man aber die Turbulenzen unten im großen Gumpen. Kann gut mit Lodrino med. verbunden werden.
The Lodrino is accessible without risk only after prolonged drought.
