Vom Autobahnkreuz Autobahnkreuz (Gotthard/Bernardino) im Norden von Bellinzona auf der N 2 nordwärts. Kurz nach der Ortsdurchfahrt von Cresciano li. abbiegen und zur anderen Talseite nach Lodrino (ca. 12 km ab Autobahnkreuz). In die Ortschaft (rechts) hineinfahren und nach der Brücke über den Bach die 3. Straße links. Vor dem Friedhof erstes Fahrzeug parken (die Parkplätze vor dem Supermarkt und unter den Bäumen in der Ortsmitte sollten nicht in Anspruch genommen werden).
Mit dem zweiten Auto nördlich in Richtung Iragna fahren und nach fast 2 km (ab Lodrino) unmittelbar nach den Häusern von Rodaglio bei einem Gewerbebetrieb (GPS-Koordinaten: 46°19'02.46"N / 8°58'19.70"E ) links ab auf ein kleines Sträßchen, dass uns hinaufbringt zu den Häusern von Legri (eine Abzweigung nach re. - Zufahrt zum oberen Iragna - ignorieren) Es geht auf dem Sträßchen immer geradeaus, bis es auf einer freien Fläche (Hubschrauberlandeplatz) endet (bzw sich als Piste in westlicher Richtung fortsetzt). Hier auf keine Fall auf der großen Schotterfläche parken, es handelt sich um einen gewerblich genutzten Hubschrauberstart- und landeplatz! Es stehen nicht umsonst Halteverbotsschilder!
From the highway junction (Gotthard/Bernardino) in the north of Bellinzona, head north on the N 2. Shortly after passing through Cresciano, turn left and drive to the other side of the valley to Lodrino (approx. 12 km from the highway junction). Drive into the village (right) and after the bridge over the stream take the 3rd road on the left. Park your first car in front of the cemetery (the parking spaces in front of the supermarket and under the trees in the center of the village should not be used).

Nach dem spektakulären Zustieg geht es im Bach weiter --> die erste Kaskade wird li. umgangen (li Baum zum Abseilen) --> die nächste Stelle kann nach Kontrolle der Tiefe und Strömungsstärke meist gesprungen werden (Achtung, man muss weit nach vorne springen, die Stelle ist bei der schweizer Flugrettung (REGA) bereits als oft frequentierte Unfallstelle bekannt!) -->gleich darauf folgt die höchste Abseilpassage mit 47m (Hier kann links am Wasser oder rechts spektakulär freihängend, aber dafür mit starker Seilreibung abgeseilt werden. ) --> ab hier verläuft die Schlucht tief eingeschnitten --> weiter hat man mehrere Geh- und kleine Kletterpassagen --> Sprünge sollten immer kontrolliert werden da sich die Schlucht stark verändert --> in der Mitte der Schlucht kommen kurze Abseilstellen im Wasserverlauf, die bei höheren Wasserstand problematisch werden können --> auch die tiefen Gumpen haben oft eine starke Strömung und sollten nicht unterschätzt werden --> am Schluss des eingeschnittenen Abschnittes kommt eine Schwimmpassage --> ab hier hat man noch eine Gehpassage und kleine Klettereien, bis zur letzten Abseilstelle --> nach dem Abseiler geht man noch einige Zeit durch das nun eher offene Bachbett bis zu einer Brücke, die nur wenige Meter über dem Bachbett verläuft (es handelt sich NICHT um die vom Anweg bekannte Brücke). Linksufrig an der Brücke befindet sich der Ausstieg des Lodrino intermedio.
