Endlich ist sich diese Tour mal ausgegangen. Alpine Abseilschlucht in wilder Umgebung. Oben nur ganz wenig Wasser und sonnige Plattenabseiler, ab der namensgebenden Quelle dann etwas mehr Wasser. Nach dem schönen 50m Wasserfall (vom Parkplatz aus sichtbar) folgt leider eine mühsame 10-15min Abkletterpassage bevor die Schlucht nochmal kurz felsig wird. Wir haben zwei alte Reebschnurschlingen ersetzt und zwei Haken neu gebohrt. Der Rest war noch in überraschend guten Zustand (Klebe- und Expansionshaken, teilweise mit Kette)
I finally got to do this tour. An alpine abseiling gorge in a wild setting. Very little water at the top and sunny slab abseils; a bit more water starting from the spring that gives the canyon its name. After the beautiful 50-meter waterfall (visible from the parking lot), there’s unfortunately a tedious 10–15-minute downclimb before the canyon briefly becomes rocky again. We replaced two old Reebsnur slings and drilled two new anchors. The rest was still in surprisingly good condition (adhesive and expansion anchors, some with chains).

Nach der Quellenschlucht sind wir nochmal kurz zum letzten hohen Wasserfall vom Wasserfallweg aufgestiegen um uns den unteren Teil der Tour anzuschauen. Mindestens drei gut ausgestattete (vermutlich von Eiskletterern) Wasserfälle mit Blick ins Tal. Als eigenständige Tour nicht lohnend, im Anschluss an den eigentlichen Wasserfallweg aber ein guter Ausklang.
After the Spring Gorge, we climbed back up briefly to the last tall waterfall on the Waterfall Trail to take a look at the lower part of the hike. At least three well-equipped waterfalls (presumably by ice climbers) with views down into the valley. Not worth doing as a standalone hike, but a nice way to wrap up the main Waterfall Trail.

Tolle Tour, Gratulation an die Erstbegeher! Wie Georg schon geschrieben, ohne MTB Zustieg und Rückweg sicher sehr mühsam, 2-3 Haken wären noch sinnvoll und bei viel (mehr) Wasser sicher fordernd! 1/2 Stern Abzug weil die Erstbegeher die Verklausungen nicht entfernt haben😉! Tolle alpine Umgebung, steht dem Bruckgraben um nichts nach!!!
Great route—congratulations to the first ascenders! As Georg already mentioned, without a mountain bike for access and return, it’s certainly very arduous; 2–3 anchors would still be useful, and with a lot (more) water, it’s definitely challenging! I’m deducting half a star because the first ascenders didn’t remove the obstructions😉! Great alpine setting—it’s every bit as good as the Bruckgraben!!!

Aktuell wenig Wasser aber sonst sehr gute Verhältnisse. Griffiger Fels, für Bruckgraben-Verhältnisse tiefe Becken und Holz nur dort wo es wenig stört.
There's not much water right now, but otherwise conditions are very good. The rock offers good grip, the pools have deep depth by Bruckgraben standards, and there's wood only where it doesn't get in the way.

Schöne offene Tour, die man sich ansehen kann, wenn man in der Region ist. Ost-ausgerichtet, d.h. schön am Vormittag. Haben einige Stände ergänzt bzw verbessert
A nice, open route worth checking out if you're in the area. It faces east, so it's best in the morning. We've added or improved a few holds.

Erstbegehung, wir haben unterschätzt wie viele Abseilstellen sich im Canyon befinden, deswegen sind einige Stände eingebohrt, die über mehrere Stufen führen. Auch einige zwingende Abkletterpassagen sind drinnen, die Haken vertragen würden. Wir haben wirklich nur das eingebohrt, wo es kein Weiterkommen gegeben hat. Deswegen sollten die 2. Begeher durchaus noch 15 Haken mitnehmen! Die Schlucht hat es absolut verdient gut ausgestattet zu werden. Ein Top alpiner Canyon. Ich habe noch nie so viele Fossilien in einer Schlucht gesehen.
First ascent—we underestimated how many rappelling points there are in the canyon, so we drilled some belay stations that span multiple steps. There are also a few technical downclimbs that could use some anchors. We really only bolted where we couldn’t get any further. That’s why the second ascenders should definitely bring along 15 anchors! The canyon absolutely deserves to be well-equipped. A top-notch alpine canyon. I’ve never seen so many fossils in a canyon before.

Ich denke im Hochsommer bei wenig Wasser ist die Tour auch mit Alpinausrüstung machbar. Ein wenig Spritzwasser bei den Wasserfällen ist dann sicher eine nette Abkühlung. Mir hat die Schlucht gut gefallen, ist halt mehr Abenteuer als Canyoning. Die Schlusssequenz ist genial.
I think in midsummer when there is little water, the tour is also doable with alpine equipment. A little splash at the waterfalls is certainly a nice way to cool off. I liked the canyon, it's more of an adventure than canyoning. The final sequence is brilliant.

Einstieg via 45m Abseiler ins Tunnel Fenster und dann durch den Tunnel zum Kraftwerk. Wenig Wasser und deutlich mehr Kies als bei früheren Besuchen, ein paar Sprünge gehen sich aber trotzdem noch aus.
Entry via 45m rappel into the tunnel window and then through the tunnel to the power station. Little water and significantly more gravel than on previous visits, but a few jumps are still possible.
