Parked at Bar Else Arcs, walked a little bit back on the road till the bridge where you can find the evident old road that you can follow down to the old electric power station structure. All anchors in perfect conditions and water level very good, reported more than usual this year by locals and guides, 6h in a group of 16. Part of the group exited by the path leading back to Escorca (approx 2h), while the rest went down through Paresi (approx 2h30).

Gola molto profonda e scenografica, percorsa in 2h 30min per rientrare da Sa Fosca. Si tratta di un percorso avventura seguendo deboli tracce e tra enormi caos di massi che obbligano a numerose arrampicate su roccia molto unta. Nessun scorrimento d'acqua ma alcune profonde pozze da attraversare. Alcune corde fisse in cattivo stato aiutano la progressione (non è necessaria attrezzatura). Impegno fisico complessivo da non sottovalutare.

Torrente semplice e piacevole con alcune calate un po’ magiche ed “elfiche” caratterizzate da muschio e travertino. Torrente a tratti scivoloso. Acqua freddina. Abbiamo fatto navetta. Parte alta : Quasi secca, con pochissima acqua. Nel tragitto abbiamo trovato nelle pozze molte carcasse di animali. Tra le calate ci sono pezzi in cui si cammina. Parte bassa: Con flusso basso d’acqua. Non erano presenti carcasse di animali. Alcuni scorci molto carini con pozze dove ci si poteva tuffare. Calate semplici.

Checked the anchor points and integrated in the upper part where missing, now all the canyon is in order; detailed topo in Description/Tour. After a dry winter the upper Fonteno is not dry but the water flow is minimal, a pity for the animal carcasses in the pool cause they are cold but cristal clear. Water flow doubling in the lower cause inheriting from a tributary, creating a scenic double waterfall view under first pitch. Flow in picture medium, no rain in the last week but quite all day in the week before, that makes some pitches very nice cause passing exactling in the water or right behind it. Three main different interesting sections, unluckily interrupted by many logs in between, in particular between the first two parts, and a really beautiful final section.

Torrente semplice a livello tecnico. Sentiero poco battuto di conseguenza nell’avvicinamento seguite i punti blu per non perdevi. Durante la discesa non c’erano tronchi che rendevano difficile il percorso. Ho trovato questo torrente delizioso , una piccola perla. Adatto a chi è alle prima esperienze in autonomia .

RIC 2025 Done upper part and lower part. For the upper part follow the path from Beura/Cardezza to Alpe Cresta, Alpe Bissoggio, Alpe La Piana, Alpe Solia di Fuori and Alpe Solia di Dentro. From the last one take the dry stream right before Alpe Arvoria (small water captation present) with path traces leading down to Ogliana di Pozzolo. Upper part discontinuous but with three main beautiful sections, quite all on french chains, mainly double even if some anchor points a little bit affected by canyon high flow; replaced anchor point on the pitch with the rock that can generate a syphon (no problem today) with a new line high on left bank, starting from a tree, leading to a double points and falling directly on the rock. Finally reaching the last part were all the anchor points are in order. Flow normal (estimated 40-50 l/s) with no particular problem.

RIC 2025 All anchors points in order, mainly quite everywhere double points with french chains. Alpine wonderful environment, recommended 60/70m rope.

Parked right below Verigo, where the paved road ends near a small church and a large parking area. Approach following the old road, accessible on foot and by mtb, first crossing the cement bridge on Margologio where it is possible to look at the flow (reference pictures attached as normal/medium flow), then continuing up on the road until finding a path on the right side which will bring you till the railway crossing. Once crossed the railway, take the left in the opposite direction of the stone bridge on Margologio, and after a sharp bend of the railway you'll find on the right the path going upward, at the beginning not fully evident but than turning into a mule track leading up to Alpe L'Erta. From the Alpe climb up towards the last stone houses till a signpost, take the left path and follow it until you cross Margologio at height 1080 (1048 start indicated on Canyons du Haut Piémont Italien-Torrentismo in Alto Piemonte) Quite everywhere old french 8mm chains, many times doubled, but in many points only one out of the two usable, in some other points in very bad conditions or unusable. Quite open at the beginning and turning from mid to end in more narrow section and passages that should not be underestimated in case of higher flow considering current belays.
