Von Domodossola Süd fährt man auf der SS33 Hauptrichtung Milano. Dann bei der unübersichtlichen Ausfahrt Piedimulera/Vogagna/Pallenzeno abfahren. Beim 1. Kreisverkehr fährt man li Richtung Vogagna. Beim nächsten Kreisverkehr re Richtung Piedimulera und beim 3. Kreisverkehr gerade aus. Dann re halten, Richtung Macugnaga. Ab hier folgt man ca. 30min der Bergstraße. Nach der Ortschaft Ceppo Morelli, scharf rechts die sehr steile Bergstraße nach Mondelli hoch. Nach mehreren engen Serpentinenkurven endet die Straße am Parkplatz Mondelli (beschränkte Parkmöglichkeit).

From Domodossola South take the SS33 main road towards Milano. Then take the Piedimulera/Vogagna/Pallenzeno exit. At the 1st traffic circle turn left towards Vogagna. At the next traffic circle turn right towards Piedimulera and at the 3rd traffic circle go straight on. Then keep right, direction Macugnaga. From here follow the mountain road for about 30min. After the village of Ceppo Morelli, take a sharp right up the very steep mountain road to Mondelli. After several tight serpentine curves, the road ends at the Mondelli parking lot (limited parking).

Vom Parkplatz aus folgt man der Wanderwegbeschilderung Richtung Passo Mondelli. Bevor man zum Einstieg hochsteigt sollte man den Wasserstand am Ausstieg der intermedio kontrollieren. Dafür geht man am schön bemalten Haus den Wanderweg li Richtung Macugnaga bis zur Brücke hinunter. Nach der Kontrolle geht man wieder zurück in den Ort und weiter hoch Richtung Passo Mondelli. Ohne eine Abzweigung zu nehmen, verfolgt man den Weg bis zur Beschilderung "Cascata Mondelli". Hier li weiter bis zum Bach(Einstieg Mondelli intermedio) auf ca. 1260m gehen.

From the parking lot, follow the signs for Passo Mondelli. Before going up to the entry, check the water level at the exit of the intermedio. To do this, go down the path to the left of the beautifully painted house in the direction of Macugnaga until you reach the bridge. After the check, go back to the village and continue up towards Passo Mondelli. Without taking a fork, follow the path until you reach the sign "Cascata Mondelli". Jeder der die Seiltechniken für aquatische Schluchten beherrscht, sollte diese Schlucht mal gemacht haben (vorausgesetzt das Wetter und der Wasserstand spielen mit). Die Schlucht bietet alles was ein erfahrenes Canyonauten-Herz höher schlagen lässt; Abseilstellen im Wasser, Sprünge und Rutschen in tiefe glasklare Gumpen. Von Anfang bis Ende sehr kontinuierlich. Die schönen Gumpen und der Wasserdruck sollten aber nicht unterschätzt werden da gerade im unteren Teil der Mondelli intermedio, einige Becken rückläufig werden können. Der erste hohe Abseiler kann auf der rechten Seite komplett umgangen/abgeklettert werden. Die Standplätze der darauffolgenden Abseilstellen sind meist so angebracht, dass man auch außerhalb des Wasserstrahls abseilen kann. Canyonauten die gerne springen und Rutschen kommen voll auf ihre Kosten und sparen ca. 30min im Abstieg. Der Ausstieg ist vor der Brücke auf 1150m.
