Canyon un po' discontinuo con piccole verticali, in ogni caso per me ha forte valenza estetica, poi con portata alta le piccole calate non sono nemmeno banali... non è sicuramente come il vicino crealla ma per una giornata tranquilla merita
Canyon a bit discontinuous with small verticals, in any case for me it has strong aesthetic value, then with high flow the small rappels are not even trivial...it is definitely not like the nearby crealla but for a quiet day it deserves

Canyon molto bello con sequenze di verticali anche tecniche, l'ambiente è super selvaggio, molto simile alla Val grande... davvero da fare, unica cosa un po' di attenzione è scivolosissimo, ancoraggi non sono il massimo
Very nice canyon with sequences of vertical also technical, the environment is super wild, very similar to Val grande... really to do, only thing a little attention is slippery, anchors are not the best

Che sfortuna non poter passare più tempo in questa parte delle Alpi, si va via con un'idea vaga di comprare casa qui per fare un canyon al giorno per tutta la vita... Ma a parte queste considerazioni questo è uno di quei torrenti che bisogna fare, viene da chiedersi: perché il canyoning non è un'attività praticata quanto il calcio? (Altre considerazioni) Tantissime pozze, calate sotto flusso, fuori dal flusso, sempre belle... fino a una in particolare stretta in una goletta esteticamente assurda... tra l'altro anche passaggio tecnico! Armi ok qualcuno un po' rovinato ma su questo tipo di roccia tengono bene.
How unfortunate not to be able to spend more time in this part of the Alps, one goes away with a vague idea of buying a house here to do a canyon a day for life.... But aside from these considerations this is one of those torrents that you have to do, one wonders: why isn't canyoning as much of an activity as soccer? (More considerations) Lots of pools, rappels under flow, off flow, always beautiful... until one in particular squeezed into an aesthetically absurd schooner... by the way also technical passage! Weapons ok some a bit ruined but on this type of rock they hold well.

Sulla guida c'è scritto strettoia più bella della valle d'Aosta... io non ho una grande esperienza nella zona ma posso dire che a parte la camminata iniziale è un bellissimo canyon in un ambiente SUBLIME, wow!
On the guidebook it says most beautiful bottleneck in Aosta Valley...I don't have much experience in the area but I can say that apart from the initial walk it is a beautiful canyon in a SUBLIME environment, wow!

Sarò sincero, non è spettacolare, per i miei gusti troppo "sulla strada", abbadtanza breve... comunque buon livello d'acqua e parecchio fredda, abbiamo faticato un po' a trovare gli armi all'inizio. Roccia non scivolosa, forse anche per la quota
I'll be honest, it's not spectacular, for my taste too "on the way", quite short... however good water level and quite cold, we struggled a bit to find the weapons at the beginning. Not slippery rock, maybe also because of the altitude

Percorsa la prima parte che anche con portata parecchio alta non causa particolari problemi (le cascate sono tutte abbastanza larghe e si può comunque uscire), la seconda invece è più stretta e dopo alcuni passaggi rischiosi abbiamo deciso di sforrare prima di una cascata con una pozza vorticosa, sulla sx, tornando sul sentiero in 5 min. *È presente per evitare una calata in una goulotte stretta col getto concentrato un mancorrente con dei punti intermedi lungo 20/25 m, bisogna fare attenzione nel salire al primo punto, è abbastanza esposto!
Walked the first part that even with quite high flow doesn't cause particular problems (the falls are all quite wide and you can still get out), the second one however is narrower and after some risky passages we decided to strain before a waterfall with a swirling puddle, on the left, returning to the trail in 5 min. *It is present to avoid a rappel in a narrow goulotte with the concentrated jet a mancorrente with intermediate points 20/25 m long, you have to be careful when climbing to the first point, it is quite exposed!

Ho messo livello di acqua alto, ma vorrei sapere quando il livello è basso:) mostro d'acqua e cascata iconica che era assolutamente da fare, uno dei motivi per cui mi sono appassionato al canyoning!
I put water level high, but I would like to know when the level is low :) water monster and iconic waterfall that was absolutely a must do, one of the reasons I got into canyoning!

Torrente in un certo senso pericoloso, siamo entrati col sole poi una mezz'ora di pioggia e si è ingrossato notevolmente. Non fate come noi guardate bene il meteo... comunque fortunatamente alcuni mancorrenti nella sezione finale permettono di evitare in parte il flusso. Bellissimo, dopo aver fatto il Mondelli non pensavo ci potesse essere un altro canyon di pari bellezza così vicino
Stream somewhat dangerous, we entered with sunshine then a half hour of rain and it swelled considerably. Don't be like us watch the weather closely...however fortunately some handrails in the final section allow you to partly avoid the flow. Beautiful, after doing the Mondelli I didn't think there could be another canyon of equal beauty so close

Tratto più tecnico del Mondelli paradise, tra tutte le strettoie e passaggi c'è una sequenza poco prima della fine che lascia a bocca aperta! (attenzione a non bere troppo)
Most technical section of Mondelli paradise, among all the bottlenecks and passages there is a sequence just before the end that is jaw dropping! (be careful not to drink too much)

Difficile immaginare che l'acqua abbia scavato un canyon così bello! Ha qualcosa di speciale, canyon n.1 per gli amanti di tuffi e toboga... e poi c'è sempre il sole!
Hard to imagine that water has carved out such a beautiful canyon! It has something special, canyon No.1 for diving and toboggan lovers.... and then there is always sunshine!

In un certo senso ricorda il Claretto in piccolo. Una prima parte con calate non altissime e abbastanza semplici per poi concludersi in una spettacolare 50 m... qui a differenza del Claretto le pozze sono profonde. Piacevole sorpresa ma neanche troppo sorpresa avendo visto foto dappertutto!
In a way it is reminiscent of Claretto in a small way. A first part with not very high and fairly easy rappels and then ending in a spectacular 50 m... here unlike Claretto the pools are deep. Pleasant surprise but not too surprised either having seen pictures everywhere!

Roccia lisciata dalle piene si percepisce la potenza d'acqua e fango che ha modellato questo ambiente, ed è un privilegio poterlo esplorare; altri gruppi erano passati prima di noi quindi armi "ok", fisicamente abbastanza impegnativo.
Rock smoothed by floods you can feel the power of water and mud that has shaped this environment, and it is a privilege to be able to explore it; other groups had passed before us so "okay" weapons, physically quite challenging.

Mette in soggezione questo ambiente stretto con roccia scura, la cascata finale è bellissima, soprattutto la prima parte a U, peccato che le pozze siano sempre piene di detriti, ma in un certo senso semplificano un po' il canyon che non è per nulla una passeggiata!
It is awe-inspiring this narrow environment with dark rock, the final waterfall is beautiful, especially the first U-shaped part, too bad the pools are always full of debris, but in a way they simplify a bit the canyon which is not at all a walk!

Nonostante non sia un vero e proprio percorso di canyoning, mi è piaciuto; canyon finale bello esteticamente, c'è un unica vera e propria calata (che in realtà si può tuffare, 10/12 m circa)
Despite not being a real canyoneering route, I enjoyed it; aesthetically pleasing end canyon, there is only one real rappel (which you can actually plunge, 10/12 m or so)

Non è bello come la parte inferiore (che è per me il canyon più spettacolare della zona), però comunque come introduzione ha delle belle calate nel granito che meritano
It is not as beautiful as the lower part (which is for me the most spectacular canyon in the area), however, as an introduction it has some nice rappels in the granite that are worthwhile

I write this review to recall a beautiful descent that is no longer feasible today (2025) after a catastrophic flood, it was really a beautiful canyon. Can it be retooled?
