Fairly continuous stream, featuring a spectacular 65 m rappel (C65). Unfortunately, the final section is choked with numerous fallen logs.
Access:
From Verbania, continue along the lake shore towards Cannobio on the SS 34 until reaching Cannero. In the village, turn left towards Trarego-Viggiona, climb up to Trarego, and drive into the village. Park where possible.
Approach (10 min):
Walk through the village center, pass the church, and continue along a small paved road climbing gently. Beyond the last houses, turn left onto a flat path heading towards the war memorial. Shortly, you reach the small bridge over the stream, the starting point. By hiking up a few dozen meters upstream, you can add a couple of small slides to the descent.
Tour (3 h):
Escape Routes: Just before the halfway point near a bridge.
Return (30 min):
After passing the second bridge encountered during the descent, exit on the right, cross the bridge, and follow the trail back to the village (30 min).
