Acceso por el nuevo recorte. Aproximación en 3h algo expuesto, importante que no haya nieve-hielo en las paredes. Unos de los tramo de escalada tiene un grado de 5+, 6a (colocamos cuerda fija) Dentro del cañón la obstruction de piedras e hielo ha caido cortando el paso por el cañón. Tuvimos que escalar y añadir 2 parabolt para llegar al río de nuevo. La sección estrecha está intacta. La parte inferior todo OK, añadimos un anclaje en la segunda cascada para poder bajar por dentro del agua
Access by the new cut. Approach in 3h somewhat exposed, important that there is no snow-ice on the walls. One of the climbing sections has a grade of 5+, 6a (fixed rope). Inside the canyon the obstruction of stones and ice has fallen cutting the passage through the canyon. We had to climb and add 2 parabolts to get to the river again. The narrow section is intact. The lower section all OK, we added an anchor at the second waterfall to be able to descend into the water.

Landschaftlich wunderschöne Tour mit abwechslungsreichen Elementen, für die Zufahrtsstraße empfiehlt sich ein Auto mit Bodenfreiheit (mit unserem Renault Kangoo ging’s gut). Der Zustieg über den Grat war gar nicht so easy zu finden aber einmal in der Tour findet man sich dann schnell zurecht. Beim letzten Abseiler sind wir fast vorbei gerauscht weil wir mit 30m gerechnet haben, dieser war aber kürzer. Beim Abseilen einfach auf den Höhleneingang mit Fixseilen achten.
A scenic tour with varied elements, a car with ground clearance is recommended for the access road (our Renault Kangoo was fine). The access via the ridge was not easy to find, but once on the tour you quickly find your way around. We almost missed the last rappel because we expected 30m, but it was shorter. When rappelling, just watch out for the cave entrance with fixed ropes.

Der Weg auf den Sattel ist durchgehend deutlich zu erkennen und wird in den Anstiegpassagen gerade renoviert (November 2025). Außerdem ist er (allerdings spärlich) rot weiß markiert. Vom Sattel herunter gibt es ebenfalls mehrere deutliche Wege, die sich am Ende alle vereinen. Selbst zum Ende des Eisenbahntunnels führt ein gut erkennbarer Pfad. Der Abstieg von dort zum Flussbett und damit zum Einstieg ist recht steil aber machbar. Alternativ kann man auf dem Sattel über die Puente de los Alemanes gehen und auf der anderen Seite weiter flussaufwärts entlang des Caminho de los Puertos zum Mirador de las Buitreras gehen und von dort zum Fluss hinabsteigen. Das verlängert den Anweg um 20 Minuten und man kann noch eine weitere Engpassage von ca. 200 m durchsteigen. Alleine begangen in zwei Stunden, kaum fließendes Wasser, lange Schwimmstrecken in wenig kaltem Wasser. Die Ausrüstung lässt zu wünschen übrig, anstatt viel Geld in Ketten und zu stecken und Edelstahllaschen mit verzinkten Schrauben und Maillons zu kombinieren, hätte man lieber vernünftige Haken setzen sollen. Ich empfehle eine gute Stirnlampe mitzunehmen, das ist zwar nicht zwingend notwendig, aber so sieht man im dunklen Teil besser und kann schönere Bilder aufnehmen. Die Engpassage ist wirklich atembraubend und einen Besuch absolut wert, auch der Zustieg ist eine tolle Wanderung. Ich rate dringend von einer Passage der Eisenbahntunnel ab, die Strecke ist gut frequentiert und insbesondere die Güterzüge sind eindrucksvoll, der letzte Tunnel ist keineswegs schnurgerade.
The path to the saddle is clearly recognizable throughout and is currently being renovated in the ascent passages (November 2025). It is also marked (albeit sparsely) in red and white. There are also several clear paths down from the saddle, which all join up at the exit. There is even a clearly visible path leading to the exit of the railroad tunnel. The descent from there to the riverbed and thus to the entry point is quite steep but doable. Alternatively, you can cross the Puente de los Alemanes on the saddle and continue upstream on the other side along the Caminho de los Puertos to the Mirador de las Buitreras and descend to the river from there. This extends the approach by 20 minutes and you can climb through another narrow passage of about 200 meters. This is a two-hour walk on your own, with hardly any running water and long swims in water that is not very cold. The equipment leaves a lot to be desired, instead of spending a lot of money on chains and combining stainless steel lugs with galvanized bolts and maillons, it would have been better to use decent anchors. I recommend taking a good headlamp with you, it's not absolutely necessary, but you can see better in the dark part and take better pictures. The narrow passage is really breathtaking and absolutely worth a visit, and the access is also a great hike. I strongly advise against passing through the railroad tunnels, the route is very busy and the freight trains in particular are impressive, the last tunnel is by no means dead straight.

Haben die 3 fehlenden Verankerungen ergänzt. Bei diesem Wasserstand ohne Probleme machbar.

Angehängt an den oberen Teil, einige weitere schöne Abseiler, noch besser eingerichtet. Man sollte gut schauen dann findet man auch die meist neueren aber teils exponierten Standplätze. Teilweise verklaust aber nicht wirklich störend. Coole Tour fürn Sonntag im November
Attached to the upper part, some more beautiful rappels, even better equipped. Look carefully and you will find the mostly newer but partly exposed belays. Partly blocked but not really disturbing. Cool tour for a Sunday in November

Bach war heute schon durchaus kühler. Zu diesem Zeitpunkt kommt nur noch im oberen Teil kurz die Sonne über den Kamm. Im Wasser ist er sehr rutschig gewesen und außerhalb waren die Steine mit feuchten Eis überfroren. Also eine schöne Rutschparty. 😉 Haben ein paar Ringe gesetzt an den Stellen wo die alten schon wirklich nicht mehr gut ausgesehen haben und einige Fixseile getauscht. Ein beeindruckender canyon, leider wie gesagt diesmal mit wenig Licht.
Bach was already cooler today. At this point, the sun only briefly comes over the ridge in the upper part. It was very slippery in the water and the stones outside were frozen over with wet ice. So it was a nice sliding party 😉 We placed a few rings in places where the old ones really didn't look good anymore and replaced some fixed ropes. An impressive canyon, unfortunately with little light this time.
