Im oberen Teil ist die Kalkschlucht sehr eindrucksvoll von hohen Schluchtenwänden eingebettet. Es folgen mehrere kurze Abseilstellen (bis max. 20m) ohne große Wegstrecke (je nach Gumpentiefe einige Sprung- und Rutschmöglichkeiten). Nach der letzten 20m Stufe wird die Schlucht flacher/offener und weniger attraktiv. Ca. 1 Stunde Geh-und Abkletterpassagen inkl. drei kurze Stufen (Baumschlinge, Haken). Ganz viele Salamanders, achtung wo mann geht/steht.

A28 bis zur Ausfahrt Fontanafredda, ab hier der Beschilderung Richtung Aviano folgen. Nachdem man an der US-Militärbasis vorbei gefahren ist geradeaus Richtung Budoia bis zur Ortschaft Dardago. Hier folgt man der Straße via S. Tomé in das Tal "val de Croda". Beim zweiten Gastgast durchqueren und der Strasse ins Tal"val di Croda" Tal folgen. Fast am Ende der Straße beim zweiten Gasthaus( Pizzeria Allo Chalet) parken.

Take the A28 to the Fontanafredda exit, from here follow the signs to Aviano. After passing the US military base, continue straight on in the direction of Budoia as far as the village of Dardago. Here, follow the road via S. Tomé into the "val de Croda" valley. At the second guesthouse and follow the road into the "val di Croda" valley. Park almost at the exit of the road at the second inn (Pizzeria Allo Chalet).

Direkt beim asphaltierten Gasthausparkplatz steht eine Wandnertafel mit dem Weg 994. Diesen folgt man hoch bis man in Kürze die Straße kreuzt (Schranken mit Fahrverbot). Hier könnt man auch der Straße folgen, jedoch ist es aber kürzer den Weg 994 zu folgen, der immer wieder kurz über die Bergstraße führt. An der großen Linkskehre mit Aussicht auf die hohe Felswand folgt man dem Weg nur noch bis zum Felsen mit der Wandermarkierung 994. Hier rechts über kleine Steigspuren zum Bach absteigen.

Directly next to the asphalted inn parking lot is a signpost with trail 994, which you follow uphill until you soon cross the road (barrier with driving ban). Here you can also follow the road, but it is shorter to follow trail 994, which always leads briefly over the mountain road. At the large leftward haipin bend with a view of the high rock face, follow the path only as far as the rock with the hiking mark 994. Here, descend to the right via small climbing tracks to the stream.

Die Tortente Cunaz ist eine schöne nicht allzu schwere Kalkschlucht mit sauberen Wasser aus den Bergen bzw. einer Quelle (direkt beim Einstieg). Der obere Teil ist bis zur letzten 20-25m Abseilstelle eingeschnitten und sehr schön. Hier gibt es (bis max. 20-25m) Abseilstellen die zum Teil auch gesprungen oder gerutscht werden können (Achtung! Kontrolle der Wassertiefe). Die Schlucht ist im oberen Teil meist mit Kettenstände gut eingerichtet worden (es gibt aber noch ewig alte Haken,die ersetzt werden könnten). Nach der letzten ca. 20m Abseilstufe (wegen Seilabzug besser links abseilen!) folgt ein längerer Geh- und Abkletterabschnitt im unteren eher offenen Teil der Schlucht. Nach ca. 20 Min. verengt sich die Schlucht nochmals. Es folgen noch drei kurze Abseilstellen (letzte besser von der Baumschlinge) und kurze Rutschen bevor man vor der künstlichen Stufe mit Wasserhäischen links die Schlucht verlässt.

The Tortente Cunaz is a beautiful, not too difficult lime canyon with clean water from the mountains or a spring (directly at the entry). The upper part is cut in up to the last 20-25m abseil point and is very beautiful. There are abseiling points here (up to max. 20-25m), some of which can also be jumped or slid (be careful! check the water depth). The canyon is mostly well equipped with chain anchors in the upper part (but there are still old anchors that could be replaced). After the last approx. 20m rappel (it is better to rappel to the left due to rope retrival!), there is a longer walking and rappelling section in the lower, more open part of the canyon. After about 20 minutes, the canyon narrows again. This is followed by three short abseils (the last one is better from the tree sling) and short slides before you leave the canyon on the left before the artificial steps with water hacks.

Kurz vor der künstlichen Stufe (Wasserhäuschen) orographisch links aussteigen und der Zufahrtstraße folgen (Gittertor kann rechts umgangen werden). Etwas weiter unten rechts über die kleine Brücke und in Kürze zurück zum Parkplatz.

Just before the artificial steps (water house), exit orographically to the left and follow the access road (the gate can be bypassed on the right). A little further down, turn right over the small bridge and shortly back to the parking lot.

Bergwasser und kleine Quelle beim Einstieg. Ideal in Frühling oder nach Regen. Gesamte Tour lohnenswert.

Mountain water and small spring at the entry. Ideal in spring or after rain. The whole tour is worthwhile.
