I live in Hungary. Since 1981, cave exploration has been my life's goal. I started canyoning in the mid-1990s, with very rudimentary equipment and techniques at the time. After many years of absence, I have started this sport again, which is very close to my heart. I have been actively practicing it again for about 10 years and have become a fan of it. My favorite region is Italy, Friuli. But I have been to many other places as well. I have now reached the point where I spend most of my time canyoning from spring to autumn and caving in winter. Unfortunately, there are no canyons in Hungary, and the caves are not particularly big either. But they are beautiful. When you approach the canyon, leave the asphalt at the sign of "Claut Water Sport Center". The upper part of the canyon, apart from a few pools, was dry and very slippery. Judging by the shape of the rocks and the condition of the canyon, there is a time of year when water flows here, but not in the fall. This part was not really a canyon, but a dangerous hike. About 20 meters after the last descent, water from a spring came in and that made the canyon a1-a2. This is the most beautiful and enjoyable part of the canyon. This and the arrival at the lake adds a lot of value to the canyon. If someone just wants the good part of the hike, drop a rope from the bridge at the parking lot below, go back to the bottom of the last descent, and then take a splash in the lake. ;)
Wenn Sie sich der Schlucht nähern, verlassen Sie den Asphalt am Schild "Claut Water Sport Center". Der obere Teil der Schlucht war, abgesehen von einigen Tümpeln, trocken und sehr glitschig. Der Form der Felsen und dem Zustand des Canyons nach zu urteilen, gibt es eine Jahreszeit, in der hier Wasser fließt, aber nicht im Herbst. Dieser Teil war nicht wirklich eine Schlucht, sondern eine gefährliche Wanderung. Etwa 20 Meter nach dem letzten Abstieg kam Wasser aus einer Quelle und machte den Canyon zu einem a1-a2. Dies ist der schönste und angenehmste Teil des Canyons. Dies und die Ankunft am See wertet den Canyon sehr auf. Wenn man nur den schönen Teil der Wanderung machen will, kann man sich von der Brücke am Parkplatz unten abseilen, bis zum Ende des letzten Abstiegs zurückgehen und dann im See baden gehen. ;)

Nagyon szép kanyon, különleges formákkal. Standok mind rendben voltak, de nem találtuk meg mind a 12t
Ein sehr schöner Canyon mit besonderen Formen. Die Stände waren in Ordnung, aber wir konnten nicht alle 12 finden

The canyon is very beautiful, well worth a visit. The description is problematic. The uphill is 2:10, the canyon is more like 5 hours. The stands are in good condition but poor. The way up is well marked, only a few places were difficult to follow, however it is very steep and sparsely traveled. The described turnoff on the path to the canon is just before the KPE pipe used to bring water to the farm house.
Der Canyon ist sehr schön, ein Besuch lohnt sich. Die Beschreibung ist problematisch: die bergauf ist 2:10, die Schlucht ist mehr wie 5 Stunden. Die Stände sind in gutem Zustand, aber schlecht. Der Weg nach oben ist gut markiert, nur an wenigen Stellen war es schwierig zu folgen, allerdings ist er sehr steil und wenig begangen. Die beschriebene Abzweigung auf dem Weg zum Canyon befindet sich kurz vor der KPE-Leitung, die das Wasser zum Farmhaus bringt.

Gyönyörű kanyon. A beépített majomkötélhíd (4es stand) egyik hasa cserére szorul. A parkolóhoz vezető műútra hétvégén és ünnepnapokon 10 és 17 között nem lehet behajtási, ha már bent vagy, akkor ki persze lehet.
Schöne Schlucht. Ein Bauch des eingebauten Affen Seilbrücke (Stand 4) muss ersetzt werden. Keine Einfahrt auf die Service-Straße, die zum Parkplatz an Wochenenden und Feiertagen zwischen 10 und 17 Uhr führt, sobald Sie in sind Sie natürlich fahren können aus.

Felső részhez az út eltűnt. A 4edik standnál tudtunk csak beszállni. A felső rész nyitott, az alsó zárt. Utóbbiból nincs sok menekülési lehetőség és tele van bedőlt fával. A barlangos rész első ereszkedésénél a víz által használt lyukon ne ereszkedjen át senki! Életveszélyes! A fal fősíkját kell követni. Ettől függetlenül egyszer érdemes megnézni! A barlangos szakasz nagyon szép.
Der obere Teil der Straße ist weg. Wir konnten nur am 4. Stand einsteigen. Der obere Teil ist offen, der untere Teil ist geschlossen. Der untere Teil ist verschlossen, es gibt kaum Ausweichmöglichkeiten und er ist voll von umgestürzten Bäumen. Beim ersten Abstieg des Höhlenabschnitts darf man nicht durch das Loch absteigen, durch das das Wasser läuft! Es ist lebensgefährlich! Folgen Sie der Hauptebene der Wand. Trotzdem ist sie einen Besuch wert! Der Höhlenabschnitt ist sehr schön.

There is a lot of water up to the dam. About A4. From the dam there is not much. Very spectacular canyon with many walking sections. Go carefully because we also experienced 3 large collapses in the canyon. Right behind us. We were lucky. The descent stand after the via ferrata has to be reached on a very slippery wall. There is a short rope inside, be sure to put a Poignet on it for climbing. The stand is set up in a way that you avoid a lot of water. Up to the dam it is expeditionary, after that it is a regular two-point set up. We did not check the grid at the end of the tunnel.
Bis zum Staudamm ist viel Wasser vorhanden. Über A4. Ab dem Damm ist nicht viel. Sehr spektakulärer Canyon mit vielen Wanderabschnitten. Gehen Sie vorsichtig, weil wir auch 3 große Einbrüche in der Schlucht erlebt. Direkt hinter uns. Wir hatten Glück. Der Abstiegsstand nach dem Klettersteig muss über eine sehr rutschige Wand erreicht werden. Darin befindet sich ein kurzes Seil, an dem man unbedingt ein Poignet zum Klettern anbringen sollte. Der Stand ist so angelegt, dass man viel Wasser umgeht. Bis zur Staumauer ist es ein Expeditionsstand, danach ist es ein normaler Zweipunktstand. Wir haben das Gitter am Ende des Tunnels nicht überprüft.

Unfortunately, the dam above the canyon has been opened and the water is constantly washing the gravel behind the dam into the canyon. Making the hike impossible. It has almost certainly filled the pools as well.
Leider wurde der Damm oberhalb des Canyons geöffnet und das Wasser spült ständig den Kies hinter dem Damm in den Canyon. Das macht die Wanderung unmöglich. Mit ziemlicher Sicherheit hat es auch die Pools gefüllt.

Unfortunately, all the pools are filled. There is not a single jump in them. But there have been such before. Let's hope it will be cleaned up next year. Water was average
Leider sind alle Pools voll. Es gibt keinen einzigen Sprung darin. Aber das gab es auch schon früher. Hoffen wir, dass es nächstes Jahr aufgeräumt wird. Das Wasser war durchschnittlich

The water was 6c. A lot of water compared to Livinal. Between A3-A4. In the 66m shaft, one of the double anchors at 30 meters was missing, the other was loose. I replaced it, repaired it. This was my second time. Still wildly beautiful, with expedition-style construction. Not a beginner canyon. :))
Das Wasser war 6c. Eine Menge Wasser im Vergleich zu Livinal. Zwischen A3-A4. Im 66m-Schacht fehlte einer der Doppelanker auf 30 Metern, der andere war lose. Ich ersetzte ihn und reparierte ihn. Dies war mein zweites Mal. Immer noch traumhaft schön, mit einer Konstruktion im Expeditionsstil. Kein Canyon für Anfänger :))

Életem egyik legrosszabb kanyonja volt így 2 év távlatából is. Nem tudok rá okot miért menne ide bárki. Egyetlen érdemleges ereszkedéssel, de sok csúszással tarkított túra volt. A két legjobb része a túrának a felmenetel egy szép erdőben és a vége.
Es war eine der schlimmsten Schluchten meines Lebens, selbst nach 2 Jahren. Ich kann mir keinen Grund vorstellen, warum jemand hier gehen würde. Es war eine Wanderung mit einem anständigen Abstieg, aber viele Rutschen. Die beiden besten Teile der Wanderung waren der Aufstieg durch einen schönen Wald und das Ende.
