... Tour-Fortsetzung vom Vortag: Nachdem wir das Seil aufgrund der Extremen Wassermenge im Canyon zurücklassen mussten, sind wir heute erneut in den Canyon eingestiegen. Am C35 konnten wir keine Möglichkeit finden, um zu verhindern, dass sich das Seil verklemmt. Auf Bohren haben wir aufgrund der Wassermenge und des anhaltenden Regens verzichtet. Wir sind zurück zum C5, dort wieder hoch und dann ausgestiegen. Da sich der Canyon weiter unten öffnet, haben wir versucht weiter unten einzusteigen. Nachdem wir am Vortag bereits keinen sicheren Zwischenaussteig finden konnten, konnten wir heute umgekeht auch keinen geeigneten Einstieg unterhalb des C35 ausfindig machen. Letztlich sind wir vom Ausstieg etwas nach oben geklettert und hatten noch im unteren Bereich einen schönen Tag.

... Tour continuation from the previous day: After we had to leave the rope behind due to the extreme amount of water in the canyon, we entered the canyon again today. At the C35 we couldn't find a way to prevent the ropes from getting stuck. We decided not to drill due to the amount of water and the persistent rain. We went back to the C5, climbed up there again and then got out. As the canyon opens up further down, we tried to get in further down. After not being able to find a safe intermediate exit the day before, we were unable to find a suitable entry point below the C35 today. In the end, we climbed up a little from the exit and still had a nice day at the bottom.

Wir waren dreimal im Folge am Einstieg des Canyons (2x am 28.07., 1x am 29.07.) Der Einstieg ist leicht zu finden. Der Wanderweg dorthin ist gut zu gehen. Direkt am Einstieg beginnt eine kurze Abkletterpassage. In dieser kommt man überall aus dem Canyon raus. Dann kommt eine ca. 5m hohe Abseilstelle (Einfachhaken) mit Überhang - wieder hoch ist bei Wasser schwierig aber machbar. Nach maginaler Laufstrecke mit einer kleinen Abkletterstelle (ohne Außstiegsmöglichkeit) erreicht man den C35. Der Seilverlauf am C35 ist extrems problematisch: Es besteht ein Extrem hohes Risiko das Seil zu beschädigen oder dass man es nicht mehr abgezogen bekommt. An dieser Stelle müsste zwingend ein neuer Stand mit einem besseren Seilverlauf, ein Umlenker, Seilschoner oder Zwischenstand eingerichtet werden. Aufgrund der für diesen Canyon gegenwärtig außergewöhnlich hohen Wassermenge war uns das nicht möglich. Bei unser 1. Tour hat sich das Seil verklemmt, wir konnten es nicht mehr abziehen. Der C35 ist für einen Wiederaufstieg extrems schwierig, wir entschieden uns daher zu versuchen über den nächsten Notausstieg auszusteigen. Laut Beschreibung sollte einer kommen - aber wo? Wir haben keine geeigneten Ausstiege gefunden. Es gibt sehr viele Möglichkeiten den Canyon zu Verlassen, aber wir konnten keine sicheren, geeigneten Wege entdecken um dann auch wieder zurück zum Einsteig / Ausstieg oder Wanderweg zu kommen. Wir entschieden uns die Tour weiter zu gehen. Dabei stellten wir fest, dass die beschriebene Topo so nicht passen kann. Fakt ist, im Verlaufe der Tour gibt es immer mehr Ankerpunkte. Irgendwann gefühlt alle 5 bis 10 Meter. Den Schlussabseiler (Ausstieg), der sich auch als Checkpoint eignet, haben wir nochmal richtig genoßen - einer der Höhepunkte des Canyons. Nach der Tour sind wir nochmal zurück zum Einstieg, um das Seil vom C35 zu hohlen. In dieser Zeit hat es geregnet. Am Einstieg angekommen hatte sich die Wassermenge vervielfacht und das Wasser war voller Sedimente.

We were at the entry of the canyon three times in a row (2x on 28.07., 1x on 29.07.) The entry is easy to find. The hiking trail there is easy to walk. A short downclimb begins directly at the entry. Here you can get out of the canyon anywhere. Then comes an approx. 5m high abseiling point (single piton) with an overhang - climbing back up is difficult but doable in water. After a maginal run with a small downclimb (without the possibility of an exit) you reach the C35. The course of the ropes on the C35 is extremely problematic: there is an extremely high risk of damaging the rope or not being able to get it off. At this point, a new belay with a better rope course, a diverter, rope protector or intermediate belay would have to be set up. Due to the unusually high amount of water in this canyon at the moment, this was not possible for us. On our first tour, the rope got stuck and we were unable to pull it off. The C35 is extremely difficult for a re-ascent, so we decided to try to get out via the next emergency exit. According to the description, there should be one - but where? We didn't find any suitable exits. There are many ways to leave the canyon, but we couldn't find any safe, suitable ways to get back to the entrance/exit or hiking trail. We decided to continue the tour. In doing so, we realized that the described topographic view could not fit. The fact is, as the tour progresses, there are more and more anchor points. At some point it felt like every 5 to 10 meters. We really enjoyed the final abseil (exit), which is also suitable as a checkpoint - one of the highlights of the canyon. After the tour, we went back to the entry to fetch the ropes from the C35. It was raining during this time. When we arrived at the entry point, the amount of water had multiplied and the water was full of sediment.

Alles in Ordnung, ausreichend Haken. Wasserstand nach vorherigen Regenfällen vorhanden aber trotzdem niedrig und unkritisch.

Vom Beginn der Schluchtaufweitung weg waren die Haken nicht konsequent in der Falllinie des Baches gesetzt. So sah man sich wiederholt zu längeren Schrägabseilern genötigt. Immerhin konnte man sich an einem hier ganz seltenen Wasserdurchsatz erfreuen.

From the beginning of the canyon widening, the pitons were not consistently set in the fall line of the stream. Thus one saw oneself repeatedly forced to longer diagonal ropes. At least one could enjoy a very rare water flow here.
