Von Nizza auf der N 202 Richtung Digne. Nach etwa 19 km links ab über den Var., auf der D 17 hinauf nach Gilette und weiter hinter im Esteron-Tal. Etwa 11,5 km nach Gilette passiert man die Abzweigung der Straße nach Pierrefeu und kommt nach weiteren 500 m zur Brücke über den Pierrefeu. Vorher sucht man einen Platz für das untere Fahrzeug, also nicht in der Nähe der Brücke!
Mit dem zweiten Fahrzeug zurück zur Abzweigung und hinauf in Richtung Pierrefeu. Nach 2,8 km (ab D 17) kommt man zu einer Rechtsserpentine und 130m weiter findet man beim Tennisplatz links eine Möglichkeit zum Abstellen des 2. Fahrzeugs.
From Nice on the N 202 towards Digne. After about 19 km, turn left over the Var, take the D 17 up to Gilette and continue along the Esteron valley. About 11.5 km after Gilette you pass the turn-off to Pierrefeu and after another 500 m you come to the bridge over the Pierrefeu. Look for a place for the lower vehicle beforehand, i.e. not near the bridge!
Take the second vehicle back to the junction and drive up towards Pierrefeu. After 2.8 km (from D 17) you will come to a right-hand serpentine and 130 m further on you will find a place to park the second vehicle on the left by the tennis court.

Wieder die 130m zurück zu erwähnten Serpentine. Der Zustieg ist beschildert von dieser Rechts-Serpentine vor dem Tennisplatz (Info - Tafel). So werden die Bewohner von Pierrefeu wenig behelligt und auch der Zustieg zum oberen Abschnitt dauert nur mehr 20 Min.\n
Again the 130m back to the mentioned serpentine. The access is signposted from this right serpentine in front of the tennis court (info - board). So the inhabitants of Pierrefeu are not bothered much and also the access to the upper part takes only 20 min. more.

Bachabwärts kommt man bald zu einem 25-m-Abseiler (Sicherungen beidseitig, wiederholt mutwillig zerstört); danach geht es im Bach mit reizvollen Gumpen abwärts bis zum Einstieg in den unteren Teil.
Downstream, you soon come to a 25-m rappel (belays on both sides, repeatedly vandalized); then it's downhill in the creek with charming pools to the entry to the lower section.
