From Nice on the N 202 direction Digne. After about 19 km turn left over the Var, on the D 17 up to Gilette and further behind in the Esteron valley. About 11.5 km after Gilette, you pass the junction of the road to Pierrefeu and after another 500 m you come to the bridge over the Pierrefeu. Before, after the village of Le Coulet, look for a place for the vehicle, so not near the bridge!

On the orographic left bank (i.e. before the bridge), a path goes north along the canyon rim and along a water conduit, descending in a northerly direction, one reaches the streambed.

Tour (1 h): traduction alternative ➜

From one pool to the next, few smaller rappels (6), towards the exit river walk. If both parts are walked, a shuttle is necessary.

After about 200m of hiking in the gravelly streambed (about 10 min.) we climb up 2m to the left onto a path that runs horizontally parallel to the stream at the beginning (GPS: N: 43.858311 E: 7.086025). It leads us up to the road.\nIf we miss this exit, we hike downstream to the confluence with the Esteron. We follow the latter downhill for about 200 m (river swimming may be possible) and then exit to the left. On a yellow marked path we come up to the road.
