Von Bad Ischl fährt man auf der Bundstraße re. Richtung Bad Goisern --> in Bad Goisern weiter re Richtung Hallstatt --> gleich nach der Brücke über die Traun (Steg) re. abbiegen --> nach wenigen Metern fährt man über eine weitere kl. Brücke (Simple Bach) --> hier li. neben der Firma parken.

From Bad Ischl you drive on the Bundstraße to the right in the direction of Bad Goisern --> in Bad Goisern further to the right in the direction of Hallstatt --> immediately after the bridge over the Traun (footbridge) turn right --> after a few meters you drive over another small bridge (Simple Bach) --> park here to the left next to the company.

Vom Parkplatz den Wanderweg re. neben dem Bach bis zum Soleweg hoch gehen (großer Strommasten) --> hier den Bach li. überqueren und gleich nach der Brücke re. den steilen Steig/Pfad am Denkmal hinauf folgen --> nach ca. 20min. über den steilen Pfad gelangt man zu einem Kraftwerkhäuschen (Pipeline) -->hier nicht weiter hoch, sondern ohne großen Höhenunterschied re. den Steigspuren in Richtung Bach folgen --> nach einer kurzen Abschüssigen Querung inkl. Schotterrinne gelangt man zu einer alten rostigen Stahlseilsicherung (Achtung!!!!! brüchiges Gelände, schwieriger Zustieg) --> dem rostigen Stahlseil bis zum Einstieg im Bach folgen (Tipp: mit Canyoning Anfänger hat man auch die Möglichkeit sich vor dem brüchigen Quergang von einen Baum mit Schlinge re. ca. 40m in die Schlucht ab zu seilen --> siehe Topo).

From the parking lot take the path on the right next to the brook up to the brine path (large power pole) --> cross the brook on the left and immediately after the bridge follow the steep path uphill on the right at the monument --> after approx. 20min. on the steep path you reach a power plant house (pipeline) --> here do not continue uphill, but without a large difference in altitude on the right. follow the tracks in the direction of the canyons --> after a short steep traverse incl. gravel gully you reach an old rusty steel rope (Attention!!!!! fragile terrain, difficult access) --> follow the rusty steel rope to the entry in the canyon (Tip: with canyoning beginners you also have the possibility to rappel from a tree with a sling on the right about 40m into the canyon --> see topographic view).

Die Schlucht ist sehr offen mit sehr guten und übersichtlichen Abseilstellen und seichten Gumpen --> gute Übungstour um sich auf höhere Abseilstellen vorzubereiten --> meist wenig Wasser (im Sommer zum teil trocken daher besser nach Regenfällen). Nach dem Abstieg über das Geröllfeld (oberer Einstieg) folgen gleich die erste zwei Abseilstellen li. C8 und re. C40 --> hier hat man auch schon einen schönen Blick auf den Hallstätter See -->kontinuierlich folgen Abseilstellen --> re. C25, li. C4, re. C20 (Engstelle), li. C7 (auch umgehbar), C5, C20, re. C15, es folgt die höchste Abseilstelle re. C45 (auch unterteilbar C25 + C20) um den exponierten Kettenstand re. zu erreichen seilt man sich von li. ca. 10m ab. --> es folgt die letzte enge Abseilstufe C10 in Gumpen mit alter verfallener Wasserableitung.

The canyon is very open with very good and clear abseils and shallow pools --> good practice tour to prepare for higher abseils --> mostly little water (in summer partly dry therefore better after rainfall). After the descent over the boulder field (upper entry) the first two rappels follow immediately --> left C8 and right C40 --> here you already have a nice view of the Hallstätter See -->continuous rappels follow --> right. C25, left C4, right C20 (narrow passage), left C7 (also bypassable), C5, C20, right C15, followed by the highest rappel on the right C45 (also divisible C25 + C20) to reach the exposed chain anchor on the right you rappel from the left about 10m. --> The last narrow abseil stage C10 follows in pools with old dilapidated water drainage.

Im meist trockenen Bachbett bis zur Brücke gehen --> li. vom Bach den Wanderweg zurück zum Parkplatz folgen.

Walk in the mostly dry streambed to the bridge --> follow the trail to the left of the streambed back to the parking lot.
