In Genf kommen wir (nach der Grenze) auf die Autobahn A 40 (Autoroute Blanche) in Richtung Lyon. Auf dieser fahren wir etwa 75 km. Wir kommen zu einem Autobahnkreuz und fahren noch 9 km weiter in Richtung Lyon (A 42). Dann verlassen wir die Autobahn und fahren nach Amberieu-en-Bugey. Hier nehmen wir die D 1504 (früher N 504) in Richtung Saint Rambert en Bugey. Nach 6 km biegen wir rechts ab in Richtung Cleyzieu. Im Weiler Montferrand jenseits der Bahngleise nehmen wir die erste Straße nach rechts und fahren - inzwischen auf einem Feldweg - an den Gleisen entlang etwa 500 m in westlicher Richtung. Wo die Gleise einen Rechtsbogen einleiten, liegt links des Feldwegs eine große Wiese. An deren Beginn stellen wir das untere Auto ab. Hier kommt ein undeutlicher Feldweg vom Wald über die Wiese. Unser Bach kreuzt den Feldweg erst etwa 200 m weiter in westlicher Richtung. Mit dem zweiten Auto zurück nach Montferrand und rechts hinauf in Richtung Cleyzieu. Im nächsten Weiler ( Mont de Lange) biegen wir rechts ab auf eine schmale Straße in Richtung Dortan. Wir kommen auf die Brücke über "unseren" Bach und stellen hier das zweite Auto ab.

In Geneva (after the border), we take the A 40 highway (Autoroute Blanche) in the direction of Lyon. We drive on this highway for about 75 km. We come to a highway junction and drive another 9 km in the direction of Lyon (A 42). Then we leave the highway and drive to Amberieu-en-Bugey. Here we take the D 1504 (formerly N 504) in the direction of Saint Rambert en Bugey. After 6 km, turn right towards Cleyzieu. In the hamlet of Montferrand, beyond the railroad tracks, we take the first road to the right and continue along the tracks - now on a dirt road - for about 500 m in a westerly direction. Where the tracks curve to the right, there is a large meadow to the left of the meadows. We park the lower car at the beginning of the meadow. Here an indistinct dirt track comes from the forest across the meadow. Our stream only crosses the field path about 200 m further west. Take the second car back to Montferrand and turn right uphill towards Cleyzieu. In the next hamlet (Mont de Lange), turn right onto a narrow road towards Dortan. We come to the bridge over "our" stream and park the second car here.

Waldgraben für "Sammler" In der Beschreibung von descente-canyon.com wird empfohlen, mit dem zweiten Auto bis zur nächsten Serpentine weiter zu fahren und dort - anfangs auf einem markierten Pfad - in den Graben abzusteigen. Hätte den Vorteil, dass uns ein Teil des Grabens von vorneherein erspart bleiben würde. In unmittelbarer Nähe die wesentlich attraktiveren Cuves du Buizin.

Forest canyon for "collectors" The description on descente-canyon.com recommends taking the second car to the next hairpin bend and then descending into the ditch - initially on a marked path. This would have the advantage that we would be spared part of the ditch from the outset. The much more attractive Cuves du Buizin are in the immediate vicinity.

Nach der abschließenden C 14 (das "beste Stück" im Waldgraben) auf dem Weg, der zu Beginn am Bach entlang führt, hinaus auf die große Wiese und rechts haltend zum Auto.
