We leave the A3 (Sargans-Zurich) at exit 44 (Nieruernen) in the direction of Glarus. We drive on the B17 via Glarus to Linthal. There we turn left in the 90 degree right-hand bend onto the village road in the direction of "Tierfeld". We now drive 4.1 km in a southerly direction and come to a point where the Auenstrasse bends slightly to the right. Continue straight on here and after a good 100 m you will cross the Furbach stream. After the stream, we can park our car on the left (see approach in photo gallery).\n\nIf we have a second car available, we can use it to drive up to Gasthaus Obbortberg (1060m altitude - see conversion in photo gallery)

From the bottom, we first take the hiking trail up to Obbortberg and continue from there, initially in a southerly direction, until the trail turns into the valley of the Furbach and finally crosses it. This is where we take the path.

Tour (3 h 30): traduction alternative ➜

The descent begins with a 60m step, which can be broken about halfway down if necessary. This is followed by 20 more rappels before you reach the canyon exit. Now descend in the stream to the concrete sill. Exit to the right here.
