Anfahrt: Parkieren besser nicht direkt bei der beschriebenen Linkskehre, sondern der Schotterstrasse 150m bis in den Wald folgen, dort hat es Platz für 4-6 Autos, ca 100m vom Ausstieg entfernt. 25m Abseiler: Achtung Baumstamm ganz oben direkt über Abseilrinne, der nächstens mal ganz abrutschen wird. Den folgenden 7m Abseiler zusammen mit dem 32m abseilen - die beide Haken RD nach dem 7er haben keine Ringe. Der zweitletzte Abseiler (15m) hat beidseitig Haken, besser den RG nehmen, unter Haken RD ist eine scharfe Kante. Achtung Baumstamm im Wasserstrahl (Seilklemmer).

Approach: It’s better not to park right at the described leftward haipin bend; instead, follow the gravel road 150 m into the forest, where there’s space for 4–6 cars, about 100 m from the exit. 25-meter rappel: Watch out for a tree trunk at the very top, directly above the rappel channel—it’s likely to slide all the way down next time. Rappel the following 7-meter section together with the 32-meter one—the two anchors on the right side after the 7-meter section do not have rings. The second-to-last rappel (15 m) has anchors on both sides; it’s better to use the right-hand side, as there’s a sharp edge below the left-hand anchor. Watch out for a tree trunk in the water stream (it can jam the rope).

Am C42 kommt dank Zufluss RD (1800m) dank breiter Berieselung Freude auf, bei Minustemperatur an Wand RD viele Eiszapfen und Eisschlag. Inf. mit anständigem Flow und C55 als Highlight, wo man definitiv noch richtig nass wird. Bei viel Andrang für Seilbahn unbedingt vorher online Zeitslot reservieren (der Öschinensee ist Touri-Hotspot und wird auch bei durchzogenem Wetter überrannt). Aus demselben Grund: Der Einstieg ist direkt am Wanderweg mit sehr viel Besuch - dezent einsteigen und erst im Bachbett fertig montieren, damit du keine unbedarften ungerüsteten Abenteurer*innen anlockst und zum Nachsteigen verleitest.

Climbed after a cold snap and snowfall. The superiore section was bone-dry. On the C42, the RD (1,800 m) tributary provided plenty of fun thanks to heavy snowfall; at sub-zero temperatures on the RD wall, there were many icicles and falling ice. The route has an inferior flow, with C55 as the highlight—where you’re definitely still going to get really wet. If the cable car is crowded, be sure to reserve a time slot online in advance (Öschinensee is a tourist hotspot and gets overrun even in mixed weather). For the same reason: The entry is right on the hiking trail, which gets very crowded—start climbing discreetly and finish setting up your gear in the streambed so you don’t attract inexperienced, unroped adventurers and tempt them to follow you.
