Summary:
Short, dry, well-equipped ravine with a chain of rappels (up to 28 m) and a quick exit; committing once you start the first vertical. Mostly dry except in extreme rain.
Access:
From Sisteron, take the Jabron valley up to St-Vincent. Just after the village sign, take the small road on the left and pass several hamlets. After 3.5 km, take the track on the left (small Jansiac sign) and follow it uphill for 3.5 km to the parking (a track leaves to the right with a prohibition sign). Park on an esplanade at a track junction just above the thalweg.
Approach (5 min):
Walk down along the usually dry stream on the left bank (looking downstream) to the first anchor point.
Tour (45 min):
A first small step on a natural anchor, then well-equipped drops follow one after another. Two steps are descended from the same anchor point. Committing as soon as you start the first vertical, but the exit at the bottom comes quickly.
Return (40 min):
After the last big vertical, pass three steps, then traverse on the left bank for about 15 minutes through woods and scree. Spot a scree of big blocks in a side valley, climb it to an old mule track that winds through the rock band back to the parking.
