From Porlezza, follow signs for Val d’Intelvi. Follow the road along the lake until reaching Rescia. Pass the small quarry and the bridge over the stream; about 50 meters before the tunnel, park on the right in a small pull-off immediately after a small waterfall.

From the parking area, walk back, cross the bridge, and past the quarry, take the road heading uphill to the right toward a house. At the top of the climb, immediately take the trail ascending to the right of the open area. Follow the uphill path until reaching the Church of Santa Giulia, then take the trail ascending into the woods near the fountain. Follow the dirt road above an elevation of 400 meters and take the path leading to the stream near a small power station.

In the first section, the stream flows in an open environment flanked by woods. A few small drops (max 10 m) and a series of medium-height jumps lead to the stone bridge near the church. After the bridge, you rappel down a 40-meter vertical section, where the canyon walls rise to form a proper gorge. No emergency exit is possible from here onwards. Further ahead, you meet a nice 15-meter waterfall to descend on rope, which leads to the 60-meter-high waterfall equipped with a traverse line. Initially, you rappel alongside the waterfall, but toward the bottom, you end up directly under the water flow until reaching the small but deep plunge pool. From here, two small steps lead to the quarry and the end of the route near the bridge.

Follow the stream up to the road bridge. Right after the bridge, on the left, go up the steep embankment, then get back onto the road by climbing over a small wall. Do not exit on the left before the bridge inside the Rescia Caves park area, as the managers are not very friendly with canyoners.

Descending this gorge is recommended only with good water flow. The flow rate can be checked at the exit.
