Verzascatal: Unteres Fahrzeug: An der berühmten Römerbrücke in Laverezzo vorbei bis ein großer Parkplatz links kommt. Auf diesem darf man den ganzen Tag parken. Bitte darauf achten, dass ihr am Parkautomat das 10 Fr. Tagesticket kauft. 3 Std kosten 5 Fr. Es wird dort geprüft und ein Strafzettel kostet 40 Fr. Bezahlung mit Franken oder EC Karte möglich. Oberes Fahrzeug: Quasi bei der Römerbrücke rechts die schmale Strasse hochfahren. Bei der 1. Kreuzung links Richtung Verzuolo und immer weiter dieser Strasse (später gute Schotterstrasse) ins Tal hinein folgen. Vor oder kurz nach der Wendeplatte parken.

Verzasca Valley: Lower section: Drive past the famous Roman bridge in Laverezzo until you reach a large parking lot on the left. You can park there all day. Please make sure to purchase the 10 Fr. daily ticket at the parking meter. Three hours cost 5 Fr. Tickets are checked there, and a parking ticket costs 40 Fr. Payment can be made with Swiss francs or an EC card. Upper parking lot: Turn right onto the narrow road just past the Roman bridge. At the first intersection, turn left toward Verzuolo and continue along this road (which later becomes a well-maintained gravel road) into the valley. Park before or shortly after the turning area.

Zustieg nur Carecchio: Vom oberen Parkplatz läuft man ebenerdig weiter ins Tal, bis der Weg zum Pinciasca hinunter geht. Man quert diesen und läuft auf der anderen Bachseite den Weg hoch, bis zum Hauptwanderweg, welchem man bis auf 880müM folgt. Zustieg von Lavertezzo (unteren Parkplatz) aus: Man läuft zurück nach Laverezzo und geht über die erste Straße links hoch, über eine Brücke und weiter bis zum Bergdorf. Den Weg/Stufen immer weiter, bis man auf eine Handvoll Häuser trifft wo ein Trinkbrunnen ist. Von da immer den Weg/Stufen weiter hoch in den Wald. Ab hier gibt es Wandermarkierungen. Im Wald immer der Schlucht nach oben bis zu einer Hängebrücke. Diese quert man und hat eine tollen Blick in die Gumpen. An dieser Brücke kann man später aussteigen. Eventuell ist es angebracht ein kurzes Seil in den Hang zu legen. Der Hang sieht glitschig und steil aus. Es folgt der 2 Anstieg im Wald. Irgendwann kommt man auf die Höhe vom Fluss. Dort ist dann auch der Einstieg.

Access via Carecchio only: From the upper parking lot, walk along the valley floor until the trail descends toward the Pinciasca. Cross the stream and follow the trail up the other side of the stream until you reach the main hiking trail, which you follow up to 880 meters above sea level. Access from Lavertezzo (lower parking lot): Walk back to Lavertezzo and take the first road on the left uphill, cross a bridge, and continue to the mountain village. Keep following the trail/steps until you reach a cluster of houses where there is a drinking fountain. From there, continue up the trail/steps into the forest. From here on, there are trail markers. In the forest, follow the canyon upward until you reach a suspension bridge. Cross it to enjoy a great view of the pools. You can exit the trail at this bridge later on. It might be a good idea to secure a short rope to the slope. The slope looks slippery and steep. This is followed by the second ascent through the forest. Eventually, you’ll reach the same elevation as the river. That’s where the entry is located.

Bei einem Abseiler liegt der Haken unter einem großen Felsblock im Wasserlauf. Dort sollte der erste über eine Mannsicherung gesichert werden und ein Seilgeländer bauen. Es soll aber auch eine Abseilstelle hinter dem Felsblock geben der außerhalb vom Wasser ist. Auch an dieser Stelle wäre ein Haken vor der Abseilstelle sinnvoll um ein Seilgelände bauen zu können. Wenn man wieder an der Hängebrücke unten ankommt, kann man links aussteigen, oder bis zum Zusammenfluss weitergehen, wo man wieder zwei Möglichkeiten hat. 1. Rechts den Pinciasca hoch und dann vor dem Wasserfall orografisch rechts, querfeldein zum oberen Parkplatz. 2. Weiter bis ins Dorf Lavertezzo: Wenn man weiter geht, sollte man zuvor im Ort den Wasserstand geprüft haben. Der Wasserzufluss vom Pinciasca sieht man anhand der großen Felsblöcke nur schlecht. Alles was danach kommt ist sehr Wasserreich mit langen Schwimmstellen. Es folgen noch tolle springbare Gumpen mit 30-40m Schwimmstrecken. Für diesen Teil benötigt man ca. 1,5 Std. Mehr

At one rappel point, the anchor is located beneath a large boulder in the stream. There, the lead climber should be secured using a belay system and set up a rope traverse. However, there is also reportedly a rappel point behind the boulder that is out of the water. At this point as well, an anchor in front of the rappelling spot would be useful for setting up a rope traverse. When you reach the suspension bridge at the bottom again, you can exit to the left or continue on to the confluence, where you’ll have two options again. 1. Turn right up the Pinciasca and then, before the waterfall, keep to the orographic right, heading cross-country to the upper parking lot. 2. Continue on to the village of Lavertezzo: If you continue on, you should check the water level in the village first. The flow from the Pinciasca is hard to gauge due to the large boulders. Everything beyond that point is very watery with long swimming sections. This is followed by great jumpable pools, with 30–40-meter swimming stretches. This section takes about 1.5 hours. More

3 Ausstiegsmöglichkeiten: 1. Bei der Hängebrücke orographisch links aussteigen und via Wanderweg zurück zum oberen Parkplatz 2. Dem Bach weiter bis zum Zusammenfluss mit dem Pinciasca folgen, da rechts im Bach hoch, bis kurz vor den Wasserfall. Da orographisch rechts einen Weg hoch und am Zaun neben dem Privatgrundstück querfeldein zum oberen Parkplatzins hochlaufen. 3. Dem Bach bis nach Lavertezzo folgen. Dafür benötigt man etwa 1,5 Stunden mehr.

3 Exit Options: 1. Exit on the orographic left at the suspension bridge and return to the upper parking lot via the hiking trail. 2. Continue along the stream to where it joins the Pinciasca; then head up the stream on the right until just before the waterfall. From there, take the path up on the orographic right and walk cross-country along the fence next to the private property up to the upper parking lot. 3. Follow the stream all the way to Lavertezzo. This will take about 1.5 hours longer.
