Access:
Parking in Cavaglio San Donnino village parking lot
Approach (40 min):
Follow trail No. 508 towards Monte Biessen / Monte Aidone / Monte Giove till an old wooden bridge. This is the suggested entrance. Further up, there are a few other rappels but the trail is unmarked and the gorge is full of fallen trees.
Tour (2 h):
- Rappel: Short drop (few meters) - Downclimb - Toboggan (Slide): Ends in a small pool right above a drop ⚠️ CAUTION - Rappel (~15m): Orographic left (TL), doubled anchor - Rappel (3–4m) - Main Rappel (45–50m): Orographic left (TL), double anchor setup - Final Downclimb: Reach the Cavaglio stream
Return (20 min):
Walk upstream along the Cavaglio until reaching the stone bridge. Take the small trail on the orographic left (TL) leading up to the bridge/main path.
