Aval: -Von Ventimiglia über die Autobahn A10, Ausfahrt Imperia Est. Am Ende der Ausfahrt rechts abbiegen in Richtung Torino-Colle di Nava. Am Ortseingang von Acquetico (direkt nach Pieve di Teco) links abbiegen in Richtung Ponti (Canyon Santa Lucia) und weiterfahren bis Mendatica. -Von Genua aus nehmen Sie die Ausfahrt Albenga und fahren über die SP453 nach Pieve di Teco. Am Ortseingang biegen Sie links ab und parken auf dem Parkplatz unterhalb des Friedhofs, in der Nähe des großen Kreuzes. Bergauf: Durchqueren Sie das Dorf und fahren Sie 7 km in Richtung Monesi bis zum Pass San Bernardo. Biegen Sie links ab und fahren Sie 3,7 km (guter Weg, Richtung Sanson-Colle di Garezzo) bis zum Schild Nr. 251 in einer 90°-Rechtskurve (Hinweis Poilarocca).

Aval: -From Ventimiglia via the A10 highway, exit Imperia Est. At the exit, turn right towards Torino-Colle di Nava. At the entrance to Acquetico (immediately after Pieve di Teco), turn left towards Ponti (Santa Lucia canyon) and continue to Mendatica. -From Genoa, take the Albenga exit and follow the SP453 to Pieve di Teco. Vom Schild aus dem Weg bergab bis zum verfallenen Weiler folgen. Nach links abbiegen und leicht bergab in Richtung Cascate dell' Arroscia-Mendatica 5 Minuten lang gehen. Auf einer Höhe von 1400 m direkt in den Wald hinunter zum Bach gehen (steil, sehr vage Spuren). Ohne Shuttlebus: Am Ortseingang von Mendatica fahren Sie mit dem Auto weiter auf einem Weg links in Richtung Montegrosso (nicht auf der Karte verzeichnet), fahren 1 km und parken in der ersten Haarnadelkurve links. Steigen Sie direkt über dem Auto auf schmalen Pfaden (10/15 Min., steil) hinauf und gelangen Sie auf den Weg, dem Sie nach links in Richtung Poilarocca folgen. Der sehr gute Weg schlängelt sich durch einen schönen Wald, führt dann nach einer Schlucht (Seile) über einen Bergrücken, ändert dann seine Richtung und verläuft allmählich parallel zum Bach. Auf 1400 m Höhe direkt den Hang hinuntersteigen. Wenn Sie etwas zu hoch steigen, gelangen Sie zum verfallenen Weiler Poilarocca (1424 m). Dann müssen Sie nur noch 5 Minuten zurückgehen... An der Gropin-Brücke, am Aussichtspunkt auf den Wasserfall und im Weiler Poilarocca gibt es einen Tisch, an dem Sie eine wohlverdiente Pause einlegen können. Gleichmäßiger Aufstieg, insgesamt 2:10 Std.

From the signs, follow the path downhill to the ruined hamlet. Turn left and walk slightly downhill towards Cascate dell' Arroscia-Mendatica for 5 minutes. At an altitude of 1400 m, go straight down into the forest to the stream (steep, very vague tracks). Without shuttle bus: At the entrance to Mendatica, continue by car on a path on the left towards Montegrosso (not shown on the map), drive 1 km and park on the left at the first hairpin bend. Climb directly above the car on narrow paths (10/15 min., steep) to reach the path that you follow to the left towards Poilarocca. The very good path winds through a beautiful forest, then after a canyon (ropes) crosses a ridge, then changes direction and gradually runs parallel to the stream. At an altitude of 1400 m, descend directly down the slope. If you climb a little too high, you will reach the ruined hamlet of Poilarocca (1424 m). Then you only have to walk back for 5 minutes... At the Gropin bridge, at the viewpoint of the waterfall and in the hamlet of Poilarocca, there is a table where you can take a well-earned break. Steady ascent, 2:10 hours in total.

Sehr offener Start, kleine geneigte Absätze führen zu einer schwachen Einkerbung. Ein R6 (4 m Sprung, den man nicht verpassen sollte, es ist der einzige in der Schlucht), C15 und C7, der große Wasserfall beginnt... Es folgt eine Abfolge von sehr steilen Absätzen mit offenen und breiten Zwischenplattformen. Am Aussichtspunkt (linkes Ufer, Ausstiegsmöglichkeit) folgt eine kleine Abstiegsstelle, der Standplatz befindet sich eher auf der rechten Seite. C56 (Achtung bei der Positionierung der Seile zum Einholen, da es zu sehr starker Reibung kommt), dann ein steilerer C50, 2 kleine Wasserfälle führen sehr schnell zur kleinen Holzbrücke. Strecke unter Waldbedeckung, ziemlich rutschig. Sehr gute Ausrüstung mit 2 Bolzen oder Gurten (natürliche Verankerungen).

Very open start, small inclined ledges lead to a weak notch. An R6 (4 m jump not to be missed, it's the only one in the canyon), C15 and C7, the big waterfall begins... This is followed by a succession of very steep drops with open and wide intermediate platforms. At the viewpoint (left bank, exit option) there is a small descent, the belaystation is more on the right. C56 (be careful when positioning the ropes for hauling in, as there is a lot of friction), then a steeper C50, 2 small waterfalls lead very quickly to the small wooden bridge. Route under forest cover, quite slippery. Very good equipment with 2 bolts or harnesses (natural anchors).

Die Strecke ist relativ leicht und nicht tief eingeschnitten. Kleine Pfade säumen den Bach, der Wanderweg ist nie weit entfernt. Einige kleine Becken, die Wasserfälle sind manchmal leicht nass. Grundsätzlich das ganze Jahr über machbar, jedoch ohne Schnee.

The route is relatively easy and not deeply incised. Small paths line the stream and the hiking trail is never far away. Some small pools, the waterfalls are sometimes slightly wet. Basically doable all year round, but without snow.
