Von Garmisch über Leermoos oder von Füssen in Richtung Reutte bis Heiterwang. Dort abzweigen und unter der Bundesstraße durch auf schmaler Asphaltstraße ca. 600 m in Richtung Heiterwanger See zum Hotel "Fischer am See". Bei einer Y-förmigen Verzweigung mit Fahrverbot auf der nach rechts abzweigenden Straße (die linke führt zum Hotel weiter) befindet sich ein großer Wanderparkplatz. Dort das Auto abstellen.

From Garmisch via Leermoos or from Füssen in the direction of Reutte to Heiterwang. Turn off there and drive under the main road on a narrow asphalt road for about 600 m in the direction of Heiterwanger See to the hotel "Fischer am See". At a Y-shaped junction with a driving ban on the road branching off to the right (the one on the left continues to the hotel) there is a large parking lot for hikers. Park the car there.

Auf der rechts abgehenden Straße zu Fuß oder besser mit dem Fahrrad weiter in Richtung Heiterwanger See. Die Asphaltstraße geht in Schotter über. Weiter am See entlang. Nach ca. 4 km wird in einer schönen Bucht das Ufer weiter. Hier zweigt gleich rechts eine Forststraße ab und entfernt sich vom See. Auf dieser in Richtung ONO, bis diese das Pitzental erreicht. Hier vor dem Schotterbett des Baches das Fahrrad im Wald abstellen. Geht man kurz nachdem der Weg das breite Schotterbett des Pitzentales zu überqueren beginnt, rechts am Waldrand entlang bachaufwärts, so entdeckt man wenige Meter später, nicht weit vor Erreichen des Bachufers am ausgespülten Waldrand einen unscheinbaren schmalen Pfad, der rechts in den Wald hinaufführt. Diesen Pfad in Kehren hinauf, an einer versteckten Hütte vorbei, bis dieser Pfad in den vom See heraufkommenden Hauptweg einmündet. Auf dem Hauptweg weiter bergan, einige steile Geröllrinnen überquerend, über einen von rechts herabkommenden größeren Seitenbach, bis zu einer Jagdhütte. Bei der Jagdhütte den Pfad weiter in's geröllige Bachbett und am linken Ufer abwärts bis zum Einstieg.

Continue on the road to the right on foot or better by bike in the direction of Heiterwanger See. The asphalt road turns into gravel. Continue along the lake. After about 4 km the shore continues in a beautiful bay. Here a forest road branches off immediately to the right and away from the lake. On this in the direction of ONO, until this reaches the Pitzental. Here, before the gravel bed of the stream, park the bike in the forest. Shortly after the path begins to cross the wide gravel bed of the Pitzental, turn right along the edge of the stream upstream, and a few meters later, not far from reaching the stream bank at the washed-out edge of the forest, you will discover an inconspicuous narrow path that leads upstream to the right into the forest. Follow this trail up in hairpin bends, past a hidden cabin, until this trail joins the main trail coming up from the lake. Continue uphill on the main trail, crossing some steep scree gullies, over a larger side stream coming down from the right, until you reach a hunting lodge. At the hunting lodge, continue along the path into the scree-strewn streambed and down along the left bank to the entry.

Zunächst kleinere Abseiler und Rutschen in eingeschnittenem (wenn auch nicht allzu tief) Bachlauf. Dann offener, längere Abseiler in zT. schrofigem Gelände. Nach einem letzten Abseiler ermüdendes Abklettern bis zum Schluchtausgang.

First, smaller rappel and slides in cut (although not too deep) stream. Then more open, longer rappel in partly rugged terrain. After a last rappel tiring downclimb to the canyon exit.

Bei Erreichen des Zufahrtsweges links hinaus.

When you reach the access road, go out to the left.
