From Kaohsiung --> Maolin 7-ELEVEN '茂林' store make supplies--> continue '茂林'Maolin --> park at Maolin Forest Road 5.5k before the gate (not after, unless you want to end the day at the police station).

Hiking from Maolin Forest Road 5.5k to 19k (from alt. 740m to 1900m),then go down to the valley from alt. 1900m to 1240m. Camping in the valley.
