This is caused by the twisted profile of the abseil: after starting on the left, after a deviation point on the right, it makes a sharp turn to the left and finally goes to the right again. This rappel is the most thrilling with high waterflow.

Vorsicht! Die Seilbergung in der Crux-Seillänge ist recht schwierig und kann zu einem festsitzenden Seil führen, wie es uns passiert ist. Einheimische Canyoniere bestätigten uns, dass dies schon mehrmals vorgekommen ist. Die Ursache dafür ist das verdrehte Profil der Abseilstelle: Nach dem Start auf der linken Seite macht sie nach einem Umlenkpunkt auf der rechten Seite eine scharfe Kurve nach links und geht schließlich wieder nach rechts. Diese Abseilstelle ist bei hoher Wasserführung am spannendsten.
