Von Luzern auf der A 2 südwärts in Richtung St. Gotthard. Nach 8 km bei der Ausfahrt Interlaken, Sarnen auf die A 8 und 18,5 km weiter in südlicher Richtung bis zur Ausfahrt 33. Hier von der A 8 ab und auf der 702 (Brünigstraße) 1 km bis zum Ortsbeginn von Giswil (490 m üNN). Hier das Auto an geeigneter Stelle parken (2012 Großbaustelle zur Abflussregulierung der Kleinen Melchaa).
From Lucerne on the A 2 southwards in the direction of St. Gotthard. After 8 km at the Interlaken, Sarnen exit onto the A 8 and 18.5 km further south to exit 33. Here leave the A 8 and take the 702 (Brünigstraße) for 1 km to the beginning of Giswil (490 m above sea level). Here park the car at a suitable place (2012 large construction site for the regulation of the discharge of the Kleine Melchaa).

Etwa 180m auf der Straße zurück in Richtung Sarnen, dann beim Wegweiser den Steig rechts hinauf durch den Wald zur Forststraße (610 m üNN). Auf der Piste nach rechts und (in südöstlicher Richtung) bis zur Brücke über die Kleine Melchaa. Nach der Brücke links hinunter in das Bachbett.
About 180m on the road back towards Sarnen, then at the signpost take the path on the right up through the forest to the forest road (610m above sea level). On the slope to the right and (in southeastern direction) to the bridge over the Kleine Melchaa. After the bridge, descend left into the streambed.

Kaum unterbrochene Abseilfolge in schön ausgewaschener Schlucht. Kein Notausstieg möglich. Einige Sprünge und Rutscher möglich. Wasserableitung im Oberlauf (KW Lungern, Tel. 0416665100)
Barely interrupted rappel sequence in beautifully washed out canyon. No emergency exit possible. Some jumps and slides possible. Water drainage in the upper reaches (KW Lungern, tel. 0416665100).

Before the slide brake, exit to the left and follow the road to the parking lot.
