Die italienische A 10 (Genua - Nizza) bei der Ausfahrt Arma di Taggia (etwa in der Mitte zwischen Imperia und Ventmiglia) verlassen. Dann auf der SP 548 das Tal der Argentina aufwärts Richtung Triora. Nach etwa 16 km kommt man durch das kleine Dorf Agaggio. Etwa 400 m nach dem Dorf erreicht man die Brücke über den Boetto (Mit einigen Häusern im weiteren Verlauf der Straße).
Da hier am Rande der SP 548 praktisch keine Möglichkeit für ein ordnungsgemäßes Abstellen des Autos eröffnet ist, fährt man vor der Brücke die betoniertes Straße rechts steil hinauf und parkt neben dem Friedhof.
Falls man für eine Umsetzung ein zweites Fahrzeug zur Verfügung hat, kann man mit diesem rund 500 m weiter auf der SP 548 fahren und dann eine enge Privatstraße möglichst weit hinauf nach Grattino.
Leave the Italian A 10 (Genoa - Nice) at the Arma di Taggia exit (roughly halfway between Imperia and Ventmiglia). Then take the SP 548 up the Argentina valley towards Triora. After about 16 km you will pass through the small village of Agaggio. About 400 m after the village you reach the bridge over the Boetto (with a few houses further along the road).
As there is practically no possibility to park your car properly here on the edge of the SP 548, drive up the steep concrete road on the right before the bridge and park next to the cemetery.
If you have a second vehicle available for a transfer, you can drive it about 500 m further along the SP 548 and then up a narrow private road as far as possible to Grattino.

Man geht vom Friedhof wieder hinunter auf die SP 548 und auf dieser weiter zu den Häusern beiderseits der Straße. Beim letzten Haus auf der rechten Seite geht ein Feldweg in nördlicher Richtung hinauf zu einem Wasserbehälter aus Beton. An diesem rechts vorbei folgen wir den sich anschließenden Pfad in Serpentinen aufwärts. Wir sehen dann linker Hand noch einmal einen Wasserbehälter. Der Weg verläuft immer relativ nahe am Rand des Tals, das sich der Boetto gegraben hat. Es geht immer aufwärts und schließlich treffen wir auf die Teerstraße, die von Grattino herüberzieht. Wir gehen jedoch nicht ganz zur Straße hinauf, sondern nehmen einige Meter vorher den Feldweg, der rechts (NNO) in etwa horizontal dahinführt. Nach einiger Zeit passieren wir einige Häuser mit umliegenden Weinanbau, gehen weiter und kommen zu zwei unbewohnten Häusern mit einen kleinen ebenen Fläche etwas oberhalb. Von hier zieht ein Pfad in den lichten Wald hinein und bringt uns zum Bachbett des Boetto.
Go back down from the cemetery to SP 548 and continue on it to the houses on both sides of the road. At the last house on the right, a dirt road goes up in a northerly direction to a concrete water tank. Passing it on the right, we follow the following path in serpentines upwards. We then see another water tank on the left. The path always runs relatively close to the edge of the valley that the Boetto has ditched. It goes up and up and finally we meet the tarred road that crosses from Grattino. However, we don't go all the way up to the road, but a few meters before we take the dirt road that goes to the right (NNO) in a roughly horizontal way. After a while we pass some houses with vineyards around, we go on and come to two uninhabited houses with a small flat area a little above. From here a path enters the sparse woods and brings us to the streambed of the Boetto.
