Von Norden (Andorra, Seu d'Urgell) oder Süden (Lleida) jeweils auf der C 14 kommend, biegt man bei Coll de Nargo auf die L 511 in Richtung Tremp ab. Nach 16,2 km nehmen wir die links nach Gavarra abzweigende Straße. Wir fahren in südlicher Richtung und kommen etwa 300 m vorr Erreichen der Ortschaft und vor die Straße dorthin wieder ansteigt, zu einer Straßenverzweigung, um die sich mehrere Gehöfte gruppieren.
Hier nehmen wir die Piste in östliche Richtung, halten uns bei Verzweigungen immer rechts, die Piste schwenkt in einem Bogen nach Süden und wir kommen nach 4,4 km zu einer Scheune am linken Pistenrand. Zur Linken sehen wir auf eine größere Freifläche. Rechts der Piste, die vor der Scheune einen leichten Linksknick beschreibt, ist eine ebene Fläche. Hier stellen wir unser Auto ab.
Coming from the north (Andorra, Seu d'Urgell) or south (Lleida) on the C 14, turn onto the L 511 at Coll de Nargo in the direction of Tremp. After 16.2 km, take the road that branches off to the left towards Gavarra. We head south and about 300 m before reaching the village and before the road climbs again, we come to a road junction around which several farmsteads are grouped.
Here we take the track in an easterly direction, always keeping to the right at junctions, the track curves south and after 4.4 km we come to a barn on the left-hand side of the track. On the left we can see a large open space. To the right of the track, which bends slightly to the left before the barn, is a flat area. We park our car here.

Die bei Wasserdurchsatz äußerst attraktive Schlucht ist in ihrer Länge und wegen der Steinschlaggefahr (vor allem bei Regen) nicht zu unterschätzen; hinzukommt, dass bei Wasserdurchsatz auch der Rio Rialb, in den die Schlucht mündet und der ein gutes Stück abwärts hinabwatend verfolgt werden muss, Hochwasser haben kann (bis zu einem gewissen Grad wohl noch machbar).

Nachdem wir den Riu Rialb erreicht haben, waten wir flussab, bis sich die Schlucht öffnet. Hier sehen wir dann einen begrünten Felsblock im Flussbett. Wir sehen dann auch linksufrig Markierungen, die den Ausstieg anzeigen. Wir steigen hinauf und treffen auf einen Forstweg. Diesem folgen wir nach links, halten uns im Zweifel immer in der Nähe des Schluchtrandes und kommen so wieder zurück zum Auto.
After reaching the Riu Rialb, we wade downstream until the canyon opens up. Here we see a green boulder in the river bed. We then also see markings on the left bank indicating the exit. We climb up and reach a forest path. We follow this to the left, keeping close to the canyon rim if in doubt, and return to the car.
