Wir verlassen die SS 33 (Gravellona - Domodossola), die das Ossola - Tal hinaufzieht, über die Ausfahrt Piedimulera und fahren in westlicher Richtung auf der SS 549 in das Val d'Anza Richtung Macugnaga. Nach 10 km (ab Ausfahrt SS 33) erreichen wir die Ortschaft Molini und stellen hier unser Auto ab.und Zu Fuß weiter, biegen unmittelbar nach der Ortschaft links ab. Über den Torrente Anza geht es auf schmaler Straße 850 m bergauf, dann.kommen wir zu einer Brücke über das Val Segnara.
We leave the SS 33 (Gravellona - Domodossola), which goes up the Ossola valley, through the exit of Piedimulera and we go west on the SS 549 in the Val d'Anza towards Macugnaga. After 10 km (from the SS 33 exit) we reach the village of Molini, where we leave our car and continue on foot, turning left immediately after the village. Crossing the Torrente Anza, we go uphill on a narrow road for 850 m, then.we come to a bridge over the Val Segnara.

Ziemlich weit geschnittene Schlucht; etwas glitschig; beim Abseiler an der Mauer der Wasserableitung dienen die beiden Felshaken nur zur Sicherung, um den talseitig ausgerichteten Kettenstand, der von oben nicht zu sehen ist, zu erreichen. Die Tour kann man ggf mit einem 13 m - Sprung in den Torrente Anza beenden. Hier bietet sich auch an mit dem großen Felsblock eine Seilrutsche zu bauen (2025)

Vasques larges et profondes. Une fois dans l'Anza, le remonter (évidemment, via sa RD) : on tombe sur un panneau triangulaire de mise en garde aux crues. Ce très court sentier raide mène au très bon sentier qui conduit à la Madonna.

Stellenweise leicht rutschig, gut kombinierbar mit Val Bianca. Der letzte Abseiler zum Fluss eignet sich gut für eine Seilrutsche die man mit einer langen Bandschlinge an einem Fels anschlagen kann.
Slightly slippery in places, can be combined well with Val Bianca. The last rappel to the river is well suited for a rope slide that can be attached to a rock with a long sling.

Ich habe nur den unteren Teil (letzten 2 Wasserfälle ab der Brücke) gemacht. 2 tolle Sprünge (5 und 11 Meter). Oben laut Auskunft alles tip top.

Achtung...immer wieder Mal etwas rutschig... Oben gibt es 2 Parkplätze vor und hinter der Brücke. Wir haben keinen Haken bei der Stufe unter der Brücke gesehen. Hier kann man auch aussteigen. Wer weiter will orografisch rechts vom Wasserlauf springen. Danach gibt es noch eine Abseilstelle bevor der Bach in den Anza mündet . Hoher Sprung rechts möglich mit etwas vorspringen..
Attention...always a bit slippery... At the top there are 2 parking lots in front of and behind the bridge. We didn't see an anchor at the steps under the bridge. You can also get off here. If you want to go further, jump orographic to the right of the watercourse. Then there is another abseiling point before the stream flows into the Anza. A high jump to the right is possible with a little jumping ahead.

DC+. For the retour, we didn't find the fisher's path mentioned in the description, after looking a lot. The following might be the quickest way to return: after arriving in the Anza (the collector river), climb straight up Anza's right bank (Segnara's left) as soon as possible, on the 'corner' of Segnara and Anza. You'll find yourself under a 2 meter cliff. Follow that cliff for like 15 meter (through the plants, there's no path), and you will find there's a place where the cliff is more like a steep staircase. Do a couple of easy scrambling/climbing moves to climb up. After that, ten more meters of easy uphill walk and you'll find yourself on a very clear, flat, protected and beautiful path to the sanctuary - enjoy the view!

Avant les orages. Bien équipé, des belles grosses vasques. La sortie la plus facile c’est de remonter qq mètres vers l’avant dernier obstacle pour prendre directement le bon chemin qui amène vers le monastère (joli!) nous on a descendu jusqu’au collecteur qu’on a remonté selon la topo, puis on a remonté au sentier un oeu avant le monastère.

Our first canyoning tour in the Domodossola region in September 2021 had to be canceled due to heavy rainfall. The following day, our search for a suitable canyon led us to the Rio Segnara. It was a good choice! A scenic canyon. Extremely slippery in places!
