Von Ajaccio auf der D 81 über Cargese in Richtung Piana, Porto. Etwa 7 km nach Cargese geht es rechts (ostwärts) ab und hinauf zum Weiler Revinda. Wir fahren aber zunächst weiter auf der D 81 noch 5,4 km in Richtung Piana, wo wir bei einer Feriensiedlung (?) unser ("unteres") Auto am Straßenrand abstellen. \nMit dem anderen Auto geht es wieder zurück und dann links hinauf nach Revinda auf 500m Höhe (6,8 km). Parken am besten vor der Kirche.

Links (westlich) an der Kirche vorbei durch ein Gatter (bitte wieder schließen!) ca. 100 m auf der Piste in nordwestlicher Richtung, dann macht die Piste einen scharfen Rechtsknick und zieht in nordöstlicher Richtung hinab zum Niederwaldrand. Hier - anders als im Buch mit dem informativen Kartenausschnitt von Ayasse/Dubreuil beschrieben und skizziert - auf dem Forstweg weiter. Vorbei an einem Autowrack links unterhalb des Weges, vorbei an 2 Zufahrten; an einem Drahtzaun entlang kommt man nach ca. 300 m (ab Autowrack) wieder aus dem Niederwald auf eine Lichtung. 50 m vor(!) der Lichtung findet man links des Weges ein Steinmännchen und daneben einen Baum, in dessen Stamm 'LC' geritzt ist (longeant canyon - zum Canyon führend). Hier den Pfad hinab zum Bach.
Left (west) past the church through a gate (please close again!) about 100 m on the slope in a northwesterly direction, then the slope makes a sharp right turn and moves in a northeasterly direction down to the edge of the Niederwald. Here - contrary to what is described and sketched in the book with the informative map section of Ayasse/Dubreuil - continue on the forest road. Past a car wreck on the left below the path, past 2 access roads; along a wire fence you come after about 300 m (from the car wreck) out of the coppice again onto a clearing. 50 m before(!) the clearing you will find a cairn on the left side of the trail and next to it a tree with 'LC' carved into its trunk (longeant canyon - leading to the canyon). Take the path down to the creek.

Rechts in der Rinne wäre eigentlich nach etwa 45m (dann würden 2x50m Seil genügen) ein Umsteiger, doch sollte man vorsichtshalber Setzzeug mitnehmen, wenn man ihn benutzen will. Der Canyon wird nun sukzessive offener und bietet noch einige schöne Abseiler. Wo von rechts der Ruisseau de l'Umbertacciu einmündet, ist der Abstieg zu Ende.\n
In the streambed about 20 min/500m. to the place where the actual entry begins with a C3. After passing the narrows, we are above the C65. On the right in the chute would actually be after about 45m (then 2x50m rope would be enough) a changeover, but you should take precautionary setting gear if you want to use it. The canyon now becomes successively more open and offers some nice rappels. Where the Ruisseau de l'Umbertacciu enters from the right, the descent ends.\n

Früher stieg man weiter ab bis an den Fuß des Gegenhangs, wo der Bach nach SW knickt. Auf einer angenehmen Piste ging es dann jenseits hinauf zur Staße. Hier war jedoch Ärger vorprogrammiert, weil der Grundstückseigentümer äußerst unangenehm wurde, wenn man sich erwischen ließ. Ich konnte dies - 2x smily - bei meinen Ausstiegen (2006 u. 2009) vermeiden, aber ich hatte Glück.
Deshalb wurde in der Folge angeraten, den Bach bis zur Brücke der D81 hinunter zu laufen - 2 Stunden Ausstieg !
Nun gibt es aber einen Ausstieg hinauf zur D81, der keinen Ärger mit dem Grundbesitzer nach sich zieht - siehe ua. "Canyoning nel Mediterraneo" (S. 112). Dazu steigt man den von rechts einmündende Umbertacciu etwa 20m aufwärts und sucht dort links am Hang nach dem Beginn eines Pfades, der uns hinauf bringt zum Auto an der D81 . Earlier one descended further to the foot of the opposite slope, where the stream bends to the SW. On a pleasant slope it then went beyond up to the road. Here, however, trouble was pre-programmed, because the landowner became extremely unpleasant if you let yourself be caught. I could avoid this - 2x smily - at my exits (2006 u. 2009), but I was lucky. \nTherefore, it was subsequently advised to walk down the stream to the bridge of the D81 - 2 hours exit !\nNow, however, there seems to be an exit up to the D81, which does not entail any trouble with the landowner - see among others "Canyoning nel Mediterraneo" (p. 112). To do this, climb up Umbertacciu, which comes in from the right, for about 20m and look for the beginning of a slope/path on the left of the slope that should take us up to the car on D81 (not verified). Lots of water. No real problem anywhere but we took the c70 rive gauche (orographic left) and that was very tough (there is also an anchor point rive droite (orogr right), hors crue (out of the flow)). Unfortunately our rope got stuck at the end when recovering (about 50m. The lower meters we could cut off). If you find it again in the coming days (we will stay about another week in Corsica) it would be nice to recover and give me a message at haegemanjo (at) gmail.com . Furthermore there are some anchor points more difficult to reach (2x extra security with rope) and also 1x a tree used in the lower part.

Beaucoup d'eau. Pas de réel problème nulle part mais nous avons pris la c70 rive gauche et c'était très dur (il y a aussi un point d'ancrage rive droite, hors crue). Malheureusement, notre corde s'est coincée au bout lors de la récupération (environ 50m, nous avons pu couper les mètres du bas). Si vous le retrouvez dans les prochains jours (nous resterons encore une semaine environ en Corse) ce serait sympa de récupérer et de m'envoyer un message à haegemanjo (at) gmail.com . De plus, il y a quelques points d'ancrage plus difficiles à atteindre (2x sécurité supplémentaire avec corde) et aussi 1x un arbre est utilisé dans la partie inférieure.

Bei hohem Wasserstand richtig spaßig! An keiner Stelle wirkliche Wassergefahr.
Im oberen Teil war ein Stand sehr schwer zu erreichen (zu klettern, absturzgefährdet, mit Sicherung möglich, dürfte der C14 sein). Im unteren Teil haben wir einen nicht gefunden, vom Baum aus aber möglich.
Really fun when the water level is high! No real danger of water at any point.
In the upper part, one belay was very difficult to reach (climbable, at risk of falling, possible with a belay, probably the C14). We didn't find one in the lower part, but it was possible from the tree.

Encore un peu d'eau qui coule... Equipement très bon. Le départ du canyon commence par 500 m de marche / désescalades, inutile de mettre les combinaisons s'il fait chaud et faible débit.Les habitants rencontrés n'étaient pas des plus accueillants malgré nos efforts, et plutôt agacés par notre passage même s'ils nous ont donnés leurs accords.

Parcourus à 6.Première voiture déposée 20m après la coutellerie de Kevin Muzikar, là où le sentier de sortie débouche (Kévin est très sympas, couteau de luxe et poterie de sa compagne très joli qu'on a achetée !).Deuxième voiture garée à 12km au hameau Revinda (bien demander si vous pouvez vous acheter chez eux et où, et des détails sur la marche d'approche). La marche d'approche débute le long de l'église côté gauche dans l'enclos. Poursuivre ce chemin jusqu'à 200m avant la fin de sentier sur la carte un chemin évident à gauche (cairn). 30 minutes pour arriver à la ravine. Puis 15 min de marche de bloc jusqu'au premier rappel.Magnifique canyon avec belles verticales, quelques frottements à gérer.2h30 de descente.Dans 15 jours il n'y aura plus d'eau, quelques vasques commençaient à stagner...A la confluence remonter à droite sur 20m, cairn évident, et sente qui monte rive droite bien raide jusqu'à la route. Le coutellier nous avait demandé de débrousailler et entretenir un peu le chemin de retour. 30 minutes de marche retour.

Les conditions étaient ultime après la petite pluie de cette nuit , j’ai mis débit correct mais on était plus sur du dc+ ou on se faisait un peu tabasser dans les rappels , mais on a trouvé que c’était les conditions parfaites , équipement ok , la c65 un peu glissante mais magnifique . À faire avec de l’eau sans hésitation .Le chemin de retour est évident , bref un très très beau canyon .

Im oberen Teil ist ein Hacken gebrochen, durch Kettenstand krin Problem; sollte aber ersetzt werden. Im unteren Teil fehlen Hacken komplett oder wir haben sie nicht gefunden, es wurde auch schon mit Rundschlingen improvisiert. 2 o 3 Hacken dürfen gesetzt werden.
A hook is broken in the upper part, no problem due to chain anchors, but should be replaced. In the lower part there are no hooks at all or we have not found them, we have already improvised with round slings. 2 or 3 hooks may be set.

Très beau canyon, dans la 65 ça tape bien dans l actif , rencontrer un groupe bien sympa, on c est trompé sur l emplacement du véhicule retour, il est juste à côté de la coutellerie , pour le retour en remontant 25 m dans l affluent au niveaux d une vasque suspendu une sente cairns par discrètement.

Le point GPS du parking aval n est pas à jour pas rapport au nouveau chemin de retour cairné. Le nouveau parking se situe sur la D81 entre les points 283 et 314 (carte IGN).Sur le parking amont prenez deux minutes pour lire le marbre de gauche sur la façade de l église.

fait à 6 en 4h30 en découverte. GD dans le sens où on ne peut pas rester sous le jet mais tout passe bien sans mouvement d'eau. la C15 près la c30 un maillon mériterait d'être resseré, prenez une pince les prochains svp. après cette C15 il manque un relais mais ça se desescalade sans problème sinon un bout de bois coincé fait office de relais.

Pareille que la dernière remarque, le relais après la C30??? On est décendu sur un anneau de corde. Et certains relais sont assez haut, au vue des crues c'est normale mais les petits ont intérêts à avoir le pied sûr.A l'endroit où on est rentré dans le canyon les marques de crues étaient à 2m de haut.

Das ist für mich eines der Highlights in Korsika. Alles was das Schluchtlerherz begehrt. Hoher Abseiler, super Sprünge und ein crazy Tobogan. Teilweise knapp ein halber Meter breit und wirklich ein „must do“. Wenn man meckern möchte, dann könnte man bei der nächsten Begehung bei einem hängenden Zwischenstand die alten Gewindebolzen rausschneiden. Der neue Ausstieg (wie vom Canyonwolf beschrieben) geht perfekt (siehe Karte, ca. 35 Minuten). Oben neben der Straße das 2te Auto parken. Wir haben ca. 15 neue Steinmänner gebaut und die Alten erneuert. Der Nächste kann es etwas besser ausschneiden ;-). Anfangs etwas steiler, dann ok.
This is for me one of the highlights in Corsica. Everything the canyoneer's heart desires. High rappel, super jumps and a crazy Tobogan. Partly just under half a meter wide and really a "must do". If you want to grumble, then you could cut out the old threaded bolts on the next ascent at a hanging intermediate stand. The new exit (as described by Canyonwolf) goes perfectly (see map, about 35 minutes). Park the 2nd car at the top next to the road. We built about 15 new cairns and renewed the old ones. The next one can cut it out a little better ;-). A little steeper at the beginning, then ok.
